Accommodation booking is not needed for your application in the first place fabzizy93: Good morning all please I’ve a question, I’ve done my biometrics on the 8th of dec and awaiting visa decision. But my hotel booking starts on the 17th of dec. my question is this, if a decision is not gotten before 17th and booking.com or the hotel cancels the reservation will that affect my visa decision when they check. Secondly can i modify on bookings.com before the 17th expiration as I’m not sure if that will also my application. It’s a student visa (MSC) 1 Like |

First of all, send a stamped copy of your form A request to the school or country rep, that way you've shown that payment had been initiated. Aderin0la: Please, is there anybody here in the UK already, that wants to send money home this weekend? Please I’m in dire need to £s. I have a deadline of Monday to meet for tuition deposit payment, and I filled form A at stanbic bank since Tuesday (since most people here advised that they’re very fast) for Full tuition payment. But up until today, nothing has been done. I’ve called and gone to the branches so much that their security men even know me now.
Please, I’ll refill the form A at another bank for the remaining tuition, but just for the initial deposit of £3,000, I really need help. My deadline is just Monday
Please, the rates people are calling aren’t favorable at all , nairalanders in the UK please help me |

You can use the statement within 30 days of printing, but if uncomfortable with that, just print again when you're ready to submit fakmurphy: Hello Everyone, please advise me. Before now, I used to think that when using Nigerian banks naira cards for online transactions and they charge at black market rates, that it was because of logistics. But apparently, these guys are just greedy bloody sharks. You want to make payments, they debit you at black market rate. You're receiving funds, they won't forget to credit you at cbn rate. They still exploit through form A that was supposed to be at exactly cbn rate after receiving transfer fees. jflex: You are absolutely correct.
Other means are just ways to loose plenty cash. USD Master card, u ll buy dollar at black market rate .. very expensive .
Another option is Barter (virtual usd master card) also very high rate.
Difference between paga and other means available was over 180k on just ihs payment.
Just be patient and keep pressing paga to verify/upgrade your account

Not all information is available on Google.. I bet you're not aware several September intakes were refused because of fake Benin, Togo & Ghana stamps. Some of those applicants actually travelled across those land borders but were not aware they were getting fake stamps. I got that information via a zoom session, not on Google. PMID:
This is an academic forum, If u don’t have any source for ur information then u better not comment rather than come here to fart with ur mouth.
If u can write things without references then I wonder how u can write ur thesis in the UK and succeed.

Not all Nigerians are this way bro, you should say Unreasonable Nigerians... Besides Biggiyke was 100% correct. Egocentricism blocks the mind. You have also made the same mistake of converting from naira to pounds instead of the other way round but no one has bashed you cos you seem to be conversing not arguing blindly... for the sake of future thread readers, converting from naira to pounds shows you already know the amount in naira. Since you already know the amount in naira, what's the point of the conversion. A very simple logic that an open minded primary school guy will understand like biggiyke said : Akpos take £9207, give it to Mr Oanda, let him change it to naira for you.. Chreze: Here is what I have realized as a Nigerian who grew up in Nigerian did some study abroad and visited some other countries for vacation. (Make I buga small as Nigerian wey I be )
As Nigerians, we are all about being “Right” hence the reason why we can’t have conversations without argument, abuses and fights. We always want to be heard (I think this is because we have been oppressed for so many years by leaders, from the British to past and present Nigerian leaders). This has made everyone (almost) always wanting to show their level of education and intelligence even at the expense of sounding rude and abusive.
I have had conversations with people from other countries and what’s always important in their conversation is “Learning” and giving “Advice”. They speak more from experience and when it’s “hear say” they quote and make it know it’s “hear say” or “I read”. But for us Nigerians, it’s quite different, because we respect our uncle that told us that thing, we are ready to fight or abuse another with that information (forgetting that this elderly ones this days lie a lot). The whole UK tread has been arguing and fighting all week for things that I shud share my own experience or hear say and you share yours too. But we tend to insult people or trample on their personality just cos we think we are right. Being in UK for years doesn’t mean you know it all, and I know as human we sometimes feel little or small when someone who just joined seem to know more than us, but you don’t have to always respond to your feelings. In conversations just have an open mind to things. Give advice and that’s it, it’s up to the person to use the advice or let it go. You can’t force people to believe in things you believe in. Ask yourself why countries outside Nigerian live with gay, lesbians and trans, it’s not because everyone accepts it, it’s because you have to respect people’s decisions and not bash them. Yes your religion is against it, but your religion is not the only one in the world and you can’t force anyone to a religion.
That said, I plead that we Respect other people’s view in life, you may not agree with it, but just respect it and not run them down for it. This has lead to people not sharing new informations and updated information here because they fear one old papa will start to run them down and trash them. For me, I think it is more of English to me and not how other sites does theirs. “Currency I have” (maybe any currency, usd, pounds, euro or IRN, but in this case naira cos that is what I have) and “Currency I want“ ( could be anything, but in this case, pounds, cos that’s the money I want to get with the naira I have). Remember that this oanda site is used by every other part of the world and not just Nigerians. This has got nothing to do with living in UK, being a professor, an accountant, medical doctor, Maths teacher or even a first class graduate. And I understand why someone will be disappointed by masters applicant having this difficulty, and that is because we made it “Argument” instead of “Conversation”.
Please let’s learn to respect each other, that’s the only way we can share ideas and grow.
Blessed day to everyone. 2 Likes |

You's a wikid mann the key point is 'from gbp to ngn' biggiyke: This argument about currency conversion is unnecessary and totally embarrassing. The fact that this argument is between intending Master's degree students makes it all the more shocking. What a shame!! What a big shame!! This is primary 5/6 Maths. If you guys can't bury your heads in shame and stop populating this thread with such nonsense, well, some of us are embarrassed on your behalf. You intend to study in the UK and you cannot convert your fees from GBP to NGN or otherwise. My advice, no need converting your naira, take it and register for First School Leaving Certificate. Or better still, get a Primary 6 pupil to teach you that. Make sure you pay for the lessons. When you can do your conversions yourself, come back here and tell us your answer, then we can discuss studying a Master's program. |

1. Don't worry about school denying you CAS as long as you're not a shady applicant, just prepare for the interview & you could also ask your country rep for hints about the interview. 2. Your salary cannot be an issue..people without jobs are getting visas nicerichard05: I jst submitted my CAS shield for University of south Wales. I had 3 previous visa denial with I stated. Also I used my salary acct, buh I had more dan enuf for 29days. Will dat be an issue cos salary is jst 97k 1 Like |
