some cracks can't be stopped by any form of protection, that one dey, but there are many instances where after drops, only the tempered glasses were broken, leaving the screen untouched. Imagine the absence of tempered glasses in such instances.

No doubt, tempered glasses can prevent some really soft drops from inviting cobweb on screens.

Like I said, I don't use tempered glass because I know that falls that tempered glasses can stop can't occur to my phone.

Let me use this slot to implore erry1 who uses or intends to buy a xiaomi phone. If you can't afford a tempered glass, withhold buying the phone itself if you can't avoid frequent drops. I don't use tempered glass Sha. Infact, get extra for ground
No OEM screen for note 5 yet and the available AAA, those that ran into AAA for note 4x can gist you, I think Gptech did.
Why not just spend 1-2k to get tempered glass to insure your gorgeous screen? It's better safe than sorry

The main thing is to even try very hard to avoid dropping the phone because tempered glass can't even withstand some fall. I used redmi note 4 for some months without screen protector, the awareness made me very careful.

When I bought my max 2, I didn't use screen protector for months within which it fell up to 5 times without Cracking. After fixing a tempered glass, same phone fell last week and the screen is slightly broken together with the glass. Straight line across the front glass of the phone. Luckily, the inner screen isn't affected.

As long as it's called redmi 5 plus here, I have no concern with what it's called elsewhere. The only time the variation in name should be of concern to me is if I'm buying my goods from an Indian merchant, in that case I will have to tell him I need redmi note 5 pro if it's redmi note 5 I want, and redmi note 5 if it's redmi 5+ I want.

These variation in names have been explicitly discussed here. I don't think anybody who has gone through the discussions should still be confused about it.

Dmedalion please let's know this individual and am pretty sure you would have trusted this said person based on his/her popularity on this thread. I believe you can get to the root of this case and find closure in the process. The thing that irked me the most is that the said person trusted you enough to get a buyer but can't let you take delivery of the phone before payment is made. Name and shame please.

I'm in full support of this. Pls name the person let him or her also give their part of the issue. I think we owe each other here the duty of being transparent in our dealings and when someone feels aggrieved, he/she should be able to bring the matter here for resolution and to also prevent others from falling into the same circumstance matted out by the culprit.

Currently trying to resolve a similar issue I helped a purpular name on this thread sell....that asked me to help him get a buyer on his few months old 4x..(buyers ain't an issue 4 me)

Out of trust I offered him and took care of the waybilling with my own pay..he withheld the item by logistics that without buyer paying fully they shouldn't release item..
And it's my job to deliver item to buyer in my own state...had to pay for d device den took to client..coz I knew d cash for device wasn't his issue...
Now it all turned out device was bad in a way that needs time to notice.... Trust Trust!!!! some persons r here to throw away faulty products
