Concerning the so called custom charges by Nipost. I wrote to nipost customer service, Servicom and Nigeria Customs customer service.

I'm not expecting any positive result from it but who knows.

I just copped myself a very handsome-looking Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 courtesy of macbeyland. Dude's customer service was top notch from start to finish. Get a hold of him to hook you up with one. Good thing is he has the phone in stock and you don't have to wait for the 7-day plus international shipment.

Thanks for the mention bro. Nice doing business with you. Enjoy your device.

This excessive charge is not custom. It's Nipost trying to play funny. If it's customs, every phone whether sent through nipost or not will be charged including the ones cargoed by the shipping guys on NL.

The last one they did had nipost Tag on the receipt. I will take the issue up with them.

how much does a buyer usually pay for delivery of courrier service?

depends on the shipping method and location. EMS charges between 1400-2500 naira depending on the state of sending and receiving.

DHL takes almost 5k. Transport companies take between 3k-5k.

Indirect means is cheaper depending on bargain.

For Those that have patronised dem do nairaland reseller deliver to your location or to the post office

most of my sales were sent via EMS and they were delivered to the exact address the buyers stated on the delivery information except on 1 or 2 occasions. All those from Lag who bought from me were delivered to the home of the buyers. I have also done DHL and they were delivered to the delivery address.

Here is a video I made on how to get ntel working on Xiaomi devices on any miui version. Unlike the other method I saw on this thread, this works whether your sim is on sim 1 or 2, or even if it's the only sim in the phone.

First of all, select ntel as the data sim and input ntel APN, now you just need to get to the *#*#4636#*#* screen, then enter the 'Phone information' of your ntel sim.
Now switch on Airplane mode.

If the network mode is on LTE Only, switch it to any other network mode.

But if it is already on any other network mode aside LTE Only, just disable Airplane mode, and quickly switch it to LTE Only before the ntel signal appears. The network signal will be stable. That is the trick.

But if you don't quickly select LTE Only before network signal pop up, it will disappear.

Basically, unlike other methods, this only takes 5-10 seconds to get it working.

Just watch the video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EJ2WfpnoGI

This method works flawlessly now on my note 4 after I did rom update. Works well on my colleague's mi max.

Xiaomi redmi 5 plus doesn't even need to use the method after upgrading to the latest MIUI version because once you update and activate voLTE, ntel network comes to your phone automatically even you reboot the device. I confirmed this about the redmi 5 plus on a guy here in this thread who bought the 5 plus from me.

Macbeyland with the hookup for a Redmi Note 5.

Transaction was smooth sailing. Less than 24 hrs.

From my experience I can endorse you.

Cheers bro. Saved me hassle.

Now my note 3 which I intended to use till December but betrayed me yesterday can rest gently till I have time to replace the screen.

welcome bro. Enjoy your device. Pls inbox for a refund of small change that was left from the courier amount you paid. I was able to get good bargain from the guy who delivered it to you.
