It's been shipped. I am hopeful it will arrive next week. Meanwhile I have 5 pieces of xiaomi redmi note 5 both 32 and 64gb available.

You can also consider buying Eniholar's redmi 5 plus. Since it's just 3 weeks old, it's still new.
Anowax:
Hey Macbeyland, how far with the Redmi 5 plus? Is it already on the way? Is there hope this week?

Can one install Google camera on xiaomi mi max 2?
donpichie:
Dude! Root that phone for starters.

Install TWRP, Magisk, Clarity Kernel and most importantly Google camera.

That'll be the best thing you've done this yr.

Don't forget to thank me later sir.

Where to get all these?? don't worry just google xda.

I'm strongly tempted to ditch my Honor 8 for The Redmi note 5 pro that's how cool that phone's bang for buck is.

I really don't like going into argument over issues like this but for clarification purpose, let me make my point clear.

The poster posted his method same time when I saw somebody's complaint about having issues with getting it to work on note 4. Since I have note 4 as a back up phone, I decided to help out.

I tried the method which I use on my own and even did a video about.... The method didn't work. That my method didn't also work on max 1 because I didn't succeed when I tried it on my colleague's max 1. It was jboixxx method that worked on max 1, although it took too long to get network.

Now, when I also tried the method posted just above, it worked well on my max 2 but didn't work on the note 4.

I posted my observation here, and the poster said he actually used note 4 to do the video and maintained that it works.

At this point, nobody has discredited anything or made any comparison.

What I didn't appreciate about humblesmith's post is the surreptitious way he was trying to bring up a war of comparison between methods, and making it seem like I was discrediting the method posted above.

I believe he could have posted his observation and credit without making comparison .

I tried jboixxx method for weeks, it didn't work on my phone. It was in the process that I discovered the method that worked for my phone. It would have been irresponsible for me to come online to now and start making a comparison between my method and his.

Pls at this point, I wouldn't want any further discussion on this issue.

Dam5reey:
That's why Nigerians refuse to grow, I watched his video I noticed, where he mentioned Airplane mode doesn't work most of the time..

Now we are saying exactly the same, He is taking it personal..

How did you get yourself to type this kind of message?

You think it's everyone who has the time to drag about whose phone is better or whose ntel method is better right?

humblesteve:
Yes, I tried his own way but didn't work but immediately I tried the other way bum, I'm enjoying ntel since midnight till now even inside my.... Lol
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by macbeyland(m): 6:45am On May 26, 2018
I understand your video perfectly. You saw where I said it works very well on my max 2. I even prefer it to the way I have been using to get the ntel network on my max 2 before now.

It just didn't work on the note 4.

I'm not bothered though because that note 4 is my backup phone. I only tried it because I was trying to help the guy who complained of having issues getting the network on his phone.

It's the max 2 that's my main phone, and your method works flawlessly there.
dustmalik:
In the video, I emphasized the fact that you must quickly select LTE Only before the network shows up, if not, it won't work. For me, it works every time. I've also tried it on a Redmi note 3 running miui 8, and it works every time, too.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by macbeyland(m): 9:44pm On May 25, 2018
The one I'm trying it on is also global version. It comes and still disappears.
dustmalik:
The device I used in the video is a Redmi note 4 Global version, so it works.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by macbeyland(m): 9:34pm On May 25, 2018
Works very well for xiaomi mi max 2, doesn't work for xiaomi redmi note 4.

I don't think it will work for those xiaomi that one has to set it to LTE only and then wait until network comes.
dustmalik:
Thanks for sharing.

Here is a video I made on how to get ntel working on Xiaomi devices on any miui version. Unlike the other method I saw on this thread, this works whether your sim is on sim 1 or 2, or even if it's the only sim in the phone.

First of all, select ntel as the data sim and input ntel APN, now you just need to get to the *#*#4636#*#* screen, then enter the 'Phone information' of your ntel sim.
Now switch on Airplane mode.

If the network mode is on LTE Only, switch it to any other network mode.

But if it is already on any other network mode aside LTE Only, just disable Airplane mode, and quickly switch it to LTE Only before the ntel signal appears. The network signal will be stable. That is the trick.

But if you don't quickly select LTE Only before network signal pop up, it will disappear.

Basically, unlike other methods, this only takes 5-10 seconds to get it working.

Just watch the video

Martux100:
I think some of these xiaomi products are over rated. How can a phone claim to be a 4G LTE phone and I have to pass through different troubleshooting before I can get 4G LTE on 4G LTE specific network like smile, Ntel, swift etc.

Only God knows how many times I have dialled *#*#4636#*#*. NTEL network will just appear like a speed of light and disappear again. I have not been able to use any of the 4g Sim on phone (xiaomi mi max 2). Asides the mtn 4g.

I will appreciate if you guys can help.

Thank you.

This is likened to one deceiving himself.

What so special about iPhone?

Personally I cannot even imagine myself using an iPhone. If someone gives me an iPhone 10 as a gift, I will sell it off to buy a high end android phone because I cannot use it

That I infinix fast charge charger is decent. I bought it when I was using gionee m5 and it was even activating the fast charge function of my gionee m5 that even selects charger like a spoilt child selecting which food to eat. I think the charger is good.
GrandMufti:
Majority of those chargers are fake
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by macbeyland(m): 2:07am On May 21, 2018
I love the phone's big screen. Battery is excellent. Far better than gionee m5 that has 6020 mah because I changed from gionee m5 to the max 2 when my gionee just got stuck during usage and after forced shutting down, the rom died and they asked me to pay 36k for the rom. I had to pack the phone up for a xiaomi mi max 2, and I'm not regretting my decision. The camera of the Max 2 is midrange. Don't expect a 1 plus 5t kinda picture quality. Processing speed is also good with little lags once in a while, maybe it's because my phone memory space is already full. The phone hardly gets warm with high usage, not to talk of even getting hot. Overall, you will enjoy it.

You may consider not going for it if you have small hands because the phone is not that comfortable using it with one hand or small hands because of its size. Even with big palms, you will find it uncomfortable to carry at first but with time you will get used to it.
majour:
Want to get the mi max 2, how's the experience, honest review pls
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by macbeyland(m): 1:57am On May 21, 2018
Lolzz. Been using it since I bought my max 2. The Max 2 has a type C to USB adapter so all I do is to hook the normal charger to the adapter.
GrandMufti:
Just buy a spare charging port or get ready to buy a new phone
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by macbeyland(m): 1:44am On May 21, 2018
They charge 200 naira for small package and more for bigger packages.

Apart from that, I usually give some form of appreciation to the post office person because she's a rare personality. There was a day this lady waited for me till almost 7pm just for me to come collect my items and post some to those who had paid for theirs. I was stuck in traffic. Someone who had already closed by 4pm.
maasoap:
I went there to collect a package, I was billed. I demanded for a receipt and it was issued. So, I believed that I was charged legitimately.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by macbeyland(m): 1:40am On May 21, 2018
Is it ordinary post or EMS speedpost?

For EMS, the sender pays, you don't pay anything except if the arrangement was that you would do the payment and in that case, you have to give the sender the cash to pay for you at point of sending. Price is around 2410 plus charge for envelope, that's 2460
Phayteprecious1:
Good evening please how much do post office people charge if they deliver items to your location?
