There could have been an IP address conflict with paypal country and log in region.
Or you have attained a certain limit of transactions worth that requires extra identification. With paypal, if you deal upto a certain amount, you'll be required to be paying tax.

OK. But in the case of IP conflict assuming it is, what can be done to remedy the problem?

That's the issue. I didn't do anything. I only made payment to gearbest for items bought. They are even asking me to submit delivery details as if I'm the merchant who sold the items

All payments on that account have been to gearbest. No other transaction.

Sorry bro, I understand how you feel, I was in your shoe too.

One thing is that, it's not your charging port, it's the charger you're using.

I conclude you've lost your original charger and probably using that INFINIX 12V×2A charger.

That charger truly charges fast, even faster than GM5 original charger cos the output is kinda higher than what the phone can take in, so it dumps some Watts out as heat which causes the charger to over heat.

Nothing spoils cords faster than charger over heating, it's either the cord stops fast charging or stops charging totally.

I'll advice you to get this long cord that looks like PC power cable, I got it 1K, I cant remember what's written on it whether KODAK or AMAZON, get the cord and you'll enjoy it, more so, avoid plugging your phone overnight, whenever you're charging, maybe after 30-30 mins, check how hot your charger is, if d hotness is unbearable, just unplug for a while to avoid it spoiling your charger.

I followed my hunch about the charging port and took the phone to a repairer yesterday. He opened it up and did some work on the port. I saw him dismantle some component, worked and re soldered. He said the charging port was rust and he changed it. I'm not sure though, but the phone is charging normally now. Even some cables that didn't activate the fast charge are now charging at fast charge.

My m5 doesn't vibrate again o, and whenever the screen light wants to sleep it start blinking. Pls is any one experiencing this? Any solution?

mine did that sometimes ago and for a long time didn't work, all of a sudden, started vibrating again... Now, it stops at times, whenever it stops, I will remove it from the pouch and give the back of the phone some knocks with my hand, at times I hit it gently by the sides, the vibratior would then start working. As for the blinking screen, it's a problem with amoled screens but gionee m5 own is worse.. Just Google the issue and see for yourself

I have 2 chargers for my gionee, including the one that came with the phone, I was also the one who told the house that infinix fast charger works well with m5. Check previous pages. So the problem isn't charger but like I said, the port.


Anyways.... I have gone to remove the port and replace it.

I will never buy any gionee product again. From E3 that gsve me hell to m5 that is super hell. I'm done with gionee and their useless products. I wonder why getting an ordinary charging cable will be like searching for gold

Seems like my charging port is bad. My phone now destroys cord anyhow. The cord i bought yesterday, i was charging the phone last night. I left it plugged in and charging only to wake up this morning to see that charging has stopped. The phone was just on 43 percent but the cable was no longer charging it, nor any other device. The cable is gone. Yesterday, my 2 Kodak cables were destroyed before I went and bought this one that has been spoilt yesterday again.

it will kill your battery. See my post above and follow the instructions. I use the infinix charger and it works exactly like the original gionee charger, activating the fast charge icon that displays when the phone is switched off and charging.


I'm talking about the bold and flowing bettery icon that shows when the phone is turned off, as opposed to the normal charge icon.

Buy the infinix fast charger. It charges gionee m5 perfectly, although you may have to get the appropriate USB cable for it else it will not change. I'm sure you know that gionee m5 selects cables like mad, so annoying.

Make sure you get the original infinix fast charge charge because there is the original and fake one.


Check the attached picture to see the description on the charger and the kind of USB I'm using and I have been using since my original cable got bad.

You can also take your time to go to a seller that will allow you test many cables.

The infinix cable that's flat and flexible also charges gionee m5 but it doesn't last at all, within 3 days, the fast charge will stop working and the phone will just be charging without any increment in the battery percentage.
