Poems For Review › Re: Welcome O Ramadhan! - A Poem And A Breif Commentary By Laykorn by Macelliot(m): 11:39pm On Jun 18, 2015
laykorn:
The crescent cracks the black that sheds the sky
And pierces through the misty wool of murky light.

Then, these clouds do a doleful dance of evil eyes
And cloak the lustrous eyes of the crescent's sight.

But none of woe is birth by the cloud's vile fight
As the hasty lunar spark was enough for euphoria.

Euphoria that the oldest men, to hide wouldn't dare.
And the youngest of men, lost in mirth and cheers.
Again, the month of blessings that overflow is here.
Again, the days of grace in sundry torrents are here.

I welcome this guest with utmost delight;
For I know it has come to give us respite.
An air of happiness fills the space;
Our homes now seem a better place!

Commentary:

It's here again; the month of over-flowing blessings and infinite grace is here again. I pray that Allah bestows his mercy upon us in this month and all the months to come after it, and that he grants us all that is needed to make the best of it. I pray for universal amity, I pray for lasting peace; I pray, I pray...
Relief!

The post is talking about Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) and not Federal allocation. IGR is money a state generates by itself...money made within.
I understand..

I mean, Kano receives high FG allocation and generates absolutely small resources...

Look at the list again. Akwa Ibom is number 7. Also it's about IGR NOT monthly allocations.

InyinyaAgbaOku:
The National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday released the Internally Generated Revenue profile of 23 states of the federation for the year 2014.

According to the report, Lagos maintains its lead over other states, generating 47 per cent of what all the other 22 states collected as IGR in the same period. Here are 7 states with the highest internal generated revenue:

Lagos - N276.1bn Rivers - N89.1bn Delta - N42.8bn Enugu - 19.2bn Ogun - N17.4bn Oyo - N16.3bn Akwa Ibom - N15.9bn

13 states - Abia, Adamawa, Borno, Cross River, Ebonyi, Edo, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Kwara, Ondo, Taraba and Yobe are yet to submit their report to the NBS.

The IGR made by the states excludes the monthly allocations, which they receive from the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee.
