hush15:Well, let an investigation be done and let all guilty persons face justice. There is nothing like politics of APC. Don't be a supporter of lawlessness and illegality. |
Lol. The governor is merely doing damage control. So the Channels TV people that interviewed him were also under duress abi? Oh Rivers of drama ![]() |
This is getting messy. To those who say the man is lying, how come the governor is agitated to the point of orchestrating the drama we are seeing from the wife? HOS is not a small position. The security agencies must ensure the man's security and investigate his claims to the fullest. The immaturity from the governor is just too glaring. His mentor made the worst possible mistake by elevating him to leadership when he obviously isn't qualified - politically, emotionally and mentally |
Wike, carry on |
LOL. It is all a game. Oga is targeting PDP ticket for 2027, he is trying to do sakamanje and show workings as "opposition leader" In politics, the more you look, the less you see. He is still a member of G5. |
Capacity Wike. Tinubu's strong ally, senior advisor and landlord of Abuja. |
Gallant men |
Lol. Is the governor not tired of these political games. It seems that being presented as a "victim" and a "media darling" coupled with bad advice from conflict merchants is driving him to dig his pit deeper. You write a letter on the 11th, intending to come on the 12th. Without waiting for a response/procedural formalities, and knowing you won't be received, you drive to the assembly with the media to present yourself as a victim. He knows what he is doing. |
Horlarkanme:You are a disappointment to the name you carry. A true born omoluabi will not insult over comments on a public forum especially when not addressed to you or insulting to anyone. That "Ola"....pray hard for it to "kan e" Most importantly, pray that your mouth will not become your enemy |
Lol. President Tinubu is quite wise and I'm happy that he told the "elders" the simple truth. Shebi when he intervened earlier, they said it was wrong and he was politically siding with one person against the other. Now that the "law" has determined the outcome, let them go and obey the rule of law. See as baba emphasized the "written and signed" by all parties. ![]() |

SadiqBabaSani:This is a democracy and not we are not under dictatorship. Everyone has right to free speech. |
Sundaymessi:If you had read what I wrote, you will see that I mentioned political appointees. Anyways whatever rocks your boat. |
Wike at work. On a side note, I expect political appointees including the commissioners and board chairmen to start resigning. You can't build something on nothing. In the eyes of the law, none of them were duly appointed to the positions that they occupy as they weren't screened by the House of Assembly. Furthermore, if the Assembly decide to be harsh, they report them to ICPC and EFCC for receiving illegal salaries and emoluments. Na wa for Rivers State. ![]() |
This matter is quite long. The major issue with this Rivers issue is the level of bias brought in by interested parties. May the rule of law prevail. |
spiSeyi:My comments were largely about the US military crashes and has nothing to do with 9ja. 9ja in recent years now has a good safety record on both military and civil front. |
The United States is trying to improve its force readiness so these crashes are not too surprising. Although, they are becoming one too many. |
CrownedPhoenix:The constitution doesn't prohibit elections during martial law. What is however clear is that there is no extension of presidential powers beyond the legal term limit without valid elections. Only the powers of parliament can be extended. Note that Ukraine is not in a state of war, as they didn't declare war against Russia. |
CrownedPhoenix:The bolded is wrong. The Ukrainian constitution doesn't extend the powers of the president if his term has expired during martial law. Only the powers of the parliament (Rada) can be extended. Elensky is illegitimate. |
This is a good development. I expect President Tinubu to leverage on this visit and attract Chinese capital into our oil and gas sector. We can't and shouldn't depend on the West alone. We need to diversify and hedge risks. Also expecting Sergei Lavrov to also come visiting this year. |
Wike is a great guy and a true performer – both in politics and governance, no capping. I trust that FCT residents will definitely enjoy a better 2025. On the issue of demolitions and re-allocation of lands, I want to ask a question of those who complain and criticize. Has anybody with valid C/O or proof of ownership ever had their property demolished or land re-allocated? If yes, then that's bad and they should seek redress. If no, then what is the fuss about? Happy New Year! |
This is common in most organizations. |
How are these "Russian arms?" The weapons belong to the Syrian army, who abandoned them upon regrouping in face of the militant advances. Moreover, you don't know if the weapons were damaged, decommissioned or sabotaged before they were abandoned. The Russian bases are in Latakia (Khmeeim) - Airbase and Tartus - Naval base which are dozens if not hundreds of kilometers away from the area of fighting around Aleppo and Hama. So why are you pushing a false narrative from Western media? Just why? |
Jokes aside, Mr. Governor is politically astute. He may or may not be performing in terms of quality of governance, projects, human capital development etc. but one thing he has gotten perfectly right is how to stay in the spotlight and manipulate public opinion. People may call his dancing, rolling on the ground and general demeanor towards governance as shenanigans, but I see political astuteness. Kudos to him, his second term is reassured barring any unforeseen circumstances. Osun is in for a long ride. |
This is a good appointment as Hon. Gani Audu is quite experienced and is a grass roots man. As for those predicting a quick parting of ways between Oshobaba and Governor Monday, this is quite premature. I don't expect a falling out as both parties (including other elders like Ize Iyamu et al) worked out a clear sharing formular before the elections which ensures that everyone's interest is covered. However, this is Nigeria so let's wait and see. |
So the man died in Belgrade and by conjecture, it is Russia or specifically Putin that killed him? Do you know how many persons die around the world on a daily basis? Do you know how many of them had anti-Russian views? Do you know how many of them had anti-American views? Do you know how many of them had anti-China views? So it is because of their views that they died? It is funny how despite attempts to link Putin with the death of this person or that person, man's reputation keeps growing to great heights. People can choose to believe whatever they choose to believe. Russia and Russians keep going forward. RIP to the dead. |
aariwa:Keep misleading those that are gullible. If indeed he won as claimed, where are the collated results from LP Agents at each polling unit across the country proving same? |
The potential will remain unrealized abeg. He is a "political error" that we cannot afford as a country to come into reality. A man without a firm position on core issues, shifty and dodgy when asked direct questions, tends to assume an aura of self-righteousness, a pathological liar, no verifiable record of achievement, a tribal and religious bigot......I can keep going on and on. He should just maintain as "leader of social media opposition" |
Fake news calmly laced with a disclaimer. "These claims could not be independently confirmed" Yahoo Yahoo news organisation. |
Good information can be sometimes used for mischievous purposes. BudgIT has provided the facts, but did not provide a good background for the facts presented. It is a known practice for constituency projects to be embedded into the budgets of MDAs. The respective MDA is expected to contract out and oversee the implementation of the constituency project within the timeframe and voted amount as provided for in the budget. This method was adopted to ensure that constituency allowance for projects are not paid directly to lawmakers due to issues of mismanagement and/or corruption. The lawmaker is only responsible for identifying the project needed after due consultation with his or her constituents. Lawmaker is also expected to confirm that the constituency project was carried out. If you check the budget of different MDAs you will see voted amounts for constituency projects embedded on them. This has been the practice since the OBJ era. Let's be guided please. |
Hmmn |
Anybody that doesn't fear Western media and their ability to spin truths into untruths and untruths into truths is still a learner. Bild, Politico, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, CNN, BBC, DW, AP, Reuter, AFP etc. are all generals in the nazi army of Ukraine, earnestly serving Ukrainian interests at the behest of their masters in Washington DC. |
