My current ATM card expired not too long, which I have not been able to go for another due to rigorous procedures of entering banks this days caused by the pandemic.

My questions are:-
* WHY DO ATM CARDS EXPIRE?

* WHY not wait for me to apply for a new one before DEDUCTING FUNDS FOR A NEW ONE?

* My old card is still looking new, WHY TRASH IT?

* Is it an INTERNATIONAL practice or EXTORTION by our nigerian banks?

I had the same issue once, just that it was a glo sim. I got an affidavit, police extract and with my business invoice which the number was a contact number on.
