For those clamouring for a draw, yes it will be nice to avoid Germany but i doubt Manu will come out for draw because he wants to win every match in this tournament. More so a strategy to have a draw can affect us (what if Hungary pulls a last min shocker and we lose?). I say we come all out for a win and at worse settle for a draw. |

this is the line up I would like to see on Sunday
Joshua, Musa, Ndidi, Bello, Mustafa, Idowu, Mathew (yes he will be back for Hungary according to doc), Sokari, Iheanacho, Yahaya/Saviour and Success (Awo and Moses can super sub)
However I am not 100% confident on Mustafa, looks a bit too small for big attackers (just my opinion) |

No panic guys, we all said it here b4 that everybody on the 21 man list is equal to the task. I think what Manu is doing is using his regular starting 11 used for the friendly games in Germany since they have gelled well already. If there would be more fire power needed he will introduce success/yahaya/iheanacho/moses. But from what I observed during the AYC Bulbwa was always substituted in the 2nd half. Another thing I sense is, the introduction of the above mentioned players in 2nd half could be very interesting when the Koreans are tired (more goals) I pray all goes well tomorrow. |

LeeCodeman: So many plastic fans in Nigeria. Mtschew...
For me, I still stand by the Flying Eagles. We are carting p the trophy. same thing I was thinking Win or Lose, I will continue to follow this team as I have experienced more happiness and peace of mind with this team than any other male national team in Nigeria in recent times. One loss out of 44 matches is nothing, if this was a boxing record, such a boxer will be as popular as Floyd Mayweather Jr, Manny Pacquiao and the rest One love Super Flying Eagles I dey your back kakaraka! |

if we must advance at this WC, defense and Mid field must be stronger. Iheanacho needs to play 7, we missed his curling balls and goalie needs to lower his stress, stage fright finished him today, same thing happened to alampasu at the u17 WC. We can still qualify no shaking. although we lost but much better team than Baba eagles at the last WC in Brazil |

joseph1013: Pereiro strike sinks Serbia
https://img.fifa.com/mm/photo/tournament/competition/02/61/10/85/2611085_full-lnd.jpg
Gaston Pereiro was the match-winner as Uruguay began their New Zealand 2015 campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Serbia to move joint-top of Group D. The outcome was harsh on the Europeans, who dominated much of this full-blooded encounter at Dunedin's Otago Stadium.
Most had expected Uruguay - finalists in 2013 - to boss this encounter and they did have the first of the game's clear-cut chances. With 17 minutes played, Facundo Castro looped over a right-footed cross that Pereiro rose to meet powerfully, forcing a smart save from keeper Predrag Rajkovic.
Serbia emerged as the assured side, though, and twice went close before the interval. First, Ivan Saponjic ran clean through only for a heavy touch to allow Gaston Guruceaga to save at his feet, and then Andrija Zivkovic cut in from the right to test the reflexes of Gaston Guruceaga.
Yet, having offered very little, it was Uruguay who took the lead 11 minutes into the second half. Castro was the goal's architect with a lovely, lofted outside-of-the-foot pass and star man Pereiro finished it off, prodding left-footed beyond the advancing Rajkovic.
Serbia piled on the pressure thereafter and came close on several occasions, most notably when Sergey Milinkovic smashed inches wide from a half-cleared corner. But the South Americans held out for a win that leaves them just one behind Mali on goal difference, and sees Serbia propping up the section with Mexico. Does this guy look U-20? |
