Pesbest: Kindly help with this profile my lovely people:
Primary applicant: Father (45 years old) OND & HND in media studies (journalism; upper credit) year of graduation: 2009 intend year of study: 2024 (any intake)
work experience: Sales rep in a pharmacy: 3 years 2010 - 2013 Personal Business(trading in building materials) 2013 to 2023 (10years)
Preferred Courses of study(flexible and open for change or suggestions): desired course of study: 1st choice- Post graduate certificate or Post graduate diploma in Project management (1 year duration)
2nd choice of course- Health care assistant or Personal support worker or care giver (1 year certificate program NOT PGDiploma)
Desired course of study: 1st choice: Project management
which of these program choices will guarantee visa and admissions in Canada? any recommended school as a Nigerian applicant?
Relocating with wife and 5 children. 2 of the children are under 5 while the other three are above 5 years old, none is up to 18years old. (will the children apply for same study permit or visiting visa??) What is the best way to go about the study permit application for a higher chance of securing the study permit for the entire family??
Proof of funds is not an issue though: 75m naira in the corporate account and 25m in personal account. But he does not pay himself from the business monthly......he runs the business with few staff (3 workers).
Home ties: 6 duplexes in different locations and over 10 undeveloped plots of land in choice locations in Nigeria, key leader of his church, his company.
Kindly look into this profile and give your professional advice on how to go about the admission and study permit for the main applicant and his family.
I appreciate you all for your priceless contributions.
Many thanks! You have good home ties as well as proof of funds. Your children would apply for Open Study Visa though. When applying for any school of your choice, you would need to do the study gap explanation (not a big deal) I would advise you go for a 2 year course though. Project management in Canadian schools are always 1 year. A course in business management would suit you just fine. For your own sake, please do not choose that health care course because you do not have the prior experience. Proof of funds is not an issue though: 75m naira in the corporate account and 25m in personal account. But he does not pay himself from the business monthly......he runs the business with few staff (3 workers). You mean the applicant or yourself? I got a bit confused here. Home ties: 6 duplexes in different locations and over 10 undeveloped plots of land in choice locations in Nigeria, key leader of his church, his company. Would need valuation for these properties. It would really help the visa process but this is not the main thing. First gain an admission into a school. Do you have a province in mind? What school are you looking to apply to? These are the initial questions that you need to ask. |

DMCY: Are there any canada universities that take third class for masters? Or better still for premasters? Not asking for anybody but for myself. Yes there are. I think I made a post about it a while ago. You can try ABC, Matrix and Cegep. They’ll take 3rd class. Good luck in getting your postgraduate diploma admission. |

Dear xxxxxxxx
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. I have reviewed your study permit application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a study permit (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/ eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://lawslois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html). I am refusing your application.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/ section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors: • Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). • The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application. Home ties not strong enough I guess |

So how should I package it to IRCC now Not to scare you but If you don’t answer them within that period, it may lead to a VISA ban. Now I Dont know the background of the story but explain how it happened to them in plain English. I wish you good luck. |

SandyDandy: Good morning
Please I want to start my proof of funds against January, like how much should I use as open balance that will not look small or too big Calculate your tuition and multiply it by the duration Calculate your living expenses and do likewise. Subtract Your tuition deposit Add an extra 5000 CAD for cost of transportation (flight) and miscellaneous There, you have your POF |

Thony2023: Hello house, pls how long does it take to receive a refund from flywire? I got a mail from them that they've received the fund from my school on June 30th. It's up to two weeks now, no update from them. Send a message to them and do not stop. Keep sending reminders. Those people go nuts sometimes. But rest assured they would send to you, but only to the originating account. Good luck. |

canadamustgo24: Thank you for your response. The school is Canadore college Acceptance fees =2,400 Initial deposit =6,100 Scholarship of 2,500 but to be given in second semester I still bear the same surname wit my brother
Please what documents do we need to show his source of income, since his business is not registered? 17m should be enough for your POF. You may not even need a co sponsor anymore. Please send a message to me let me calculate for you. (Dont worry it is free lol) |

doublestar21: Thanks sir. But you said I shouldn't apply for BSC when I already have hnd. Please why do you say so. Is that two years course not same as diploma I have here in Nigeria?. What will the result not bear diploma after graduation?. Thanks.
Wow 😲😲😲 , really?. I am hearing it for the first time here that the proof of fund should cover all the whole tution fees you need for those years you will stay there. I was thinking 🤔🤔 initially, that one year tution fee is good to go
Then how possible is it to apply for two years course and get three year pgwp. Is it realistic to you boss?. Because I am hearing that you if you apply for two years, they will issue you one year I am certain that you would need the 2 years proof of funds initially it wasn’t so.. Also, I am very sure you’d get post study work permit of 3 years (if not more, depending on some factors. Can’t explain much here as the news came out recently and I’m yet to digest it now. ) |

doublestar21: Wait ooo. I was preparing for pof of 14m. Do I have to have the pof of the whole 4 years in my account before leaving?. Let's me assume the figure you used before which is 18k annual can't 14m serve as proof of funnd?
Secondly, the two years course you talk about, what certificate will they offer me? And is the two years course done in university or college.
Lastly if college will issue me diploma, don't you think they might deny me visa reason being going from (diploma) HND in Nigeria to another diploma again in Canada.
Sorry for stressing you with my questions . Sadly, yes. You should show proof of funds for the entire stay. As the other gentleman has said, you can simply go for a 2 years course, then get a 3 years post study work permit, and you’re good! |

canadamustgo24: Good day nairalanders. Please I need help
I recently got an admission for a one year program. My tuition is 16,000 cad. I plan on using 17M in my account as pof, and I intend to use my brother as a co-sponsor. But the problem is that my brother is self employed as an engineer. He does not have a register company or business, but he has landed properties. Please how do I proof his source of income?
Secondly, I am still trying to put my pof together, and I have till July 17th to make payment for acceptance fees, then second payment by august 3rd. Can I write to the school to give me 2 more weeks to make payment?
Your advise will really be appreciated
Thank you Congratulations on your offer. You didn’t make mention of the school but some schools won’t give an extension but you can write them to be double sure. There are many questions. Is there an initial tuition deposit and a final tuition deposit? How much is the tuition? How much is the tuition deposit in total? Yes your brother can be used as the sponsor (hoping you’re male and your brother has the same surname as you. If otherwise, get a letter of sponsorship) Do not forget that your POF comprises of your remaining tuition fees after the deposit has been paid, plus your living expenses. Good luck. |

samask64: You're very wrong on that tuition deposit
School like George brown is $10000 Conestoga is $1500 Humber is $5000 Mohawk is $2500 My bad. I’ll make corrections soon. It was an oversight. However, Conestoga is no longer just $1,500. You pay the initial $1,500, then you pay another deposit of up to 8,000 (differs from one applicant to another). This is a very new occurrence and it is very frustrating for our applicants but we have no choice. Thank you for the correction once again. |
