I would however advise you to stay away from Conestoga college for now because their tuition deposit is not stable. You can pay as much as $9,000 CAD after paying the initial $1,500 CAD BEFORE leaving here.

How can I start. I thought Nigerians no longer requires English language test in Canada.
You don’t have to do IELTS. There are other options like Duolingo which is relatively cheap and you can do it in the comfort of your home. English tests are only needed to push your application and as backup.
Do the Duolingo test and you’ll be lucky to get admission for sure. (And by His grace)

What’s the best way to approach this scenario!!

A friend has gotten admission into a Canadian college. Her dad is late and she’s being sponsored by her guardian who is based in the USA.

The guardian has been responsible for her education for the past 5 years in Nigeria and has paid 70% of the Canadian tuition fees using his credit card and is willing to also drop his bank statements, notarized letter of sponsorship, employment letter etc. However, he is not willing to send the pof and balance of school fees to the student nigerian bank account due to nigeria foreign exchange issues.

What is the best way to go about the visa application to proof that he is obligated to make all the necessary funds available to her?

Asides the notarized letter of sponsorship, evidence of payment of fees from his American bank account, what other docs should he provide to help solidify the application?

@ShowYoung @macsilver @bullstriker and every other member.
In terms of the visa application, it's essential to demonstrate that the guardian is fully committed to making all the necessary funds available for your friend's education in Canada. Besides the notarized letter of sponsorship and evidence of payment of fees from the guardian's American bank account, there are a few additional documents that can help solidify the application and provide further proof of financial capability.

Before I delve, please note that it is not necessary for him or her to have the money sent to the Nigerian account but that does not mean he or she should not have at least something in their own account, so here goes:

Firstly, it would be beneficial for the guardian to provide an affidavit of sponsorship. This affidavit should be sworn in a court and notarized to add a legal weight to the commitment of the guardian. It should clearly state the guardian's intention to financially support your friend's education in Canada and their ability to meet all the financial obligations associated with it.

In addition to the sponsorship letter and affidavit, it would be helpful for the guardian to provide documentation related to their assets. This can include property documents, investment certificates, or any other relevant proof of ownership or investments. These documents serve as additional evidence of the guardian's financial stability and ability to provide ongoing support to your friend throughout her schooling in Canada.

By presenting a comprehensive package of documents, including the notarized sponsorship letter, affidavit of sponsorship, and supporting documents showcasing the guardian's assets and investments, you can strengthen your friend's visa application. These documents demonstrate the commitment and financial capability of the guardian to support your friend's education in Canada.

In conclusion, the combination of a notarized sponsorship letter, an affidavit of sponsorship, and supporting documents showcasing the guardian's assets and investments will significantly strengthen your friend's visa application. However, to ensure a comprehensive and accurate submission, it is advisable to engage the services of a professional immigration consultant or lawyer who can provide expert guidance throughout the process.

If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I'm here to help.
I believe others are also here to be of assistance.
I wish you and your friend good luck

EducationCanada Universities With Fast/quick Admission Processing. by macsilver(op): 11:27am On May 21, 2023
Many students I have assisted in their applications to Canadian universities often express concerns about the speed and efficiency of the admission process. They want to know which schools have fast admission timelines and can meet their desired deadlines. It is crucial to understand that these schools have specific intake periods with opening and closing dates. It is also important to note that some schools may reach their capacity and close admissions earlier than expected, sometimes without prior notice. Given these circumstances, it is highly recommended to prepare and apply well in advance to ensure you meet the intake deadlines of your preferred schools.

With that in mind, I have compiled a list of schools known for their fast admission processes. These schools are designated learning institutions (DLI), which means they are authorized to provide students with post-graduate work permits upon graduation.

Hi fams trust you are all good..

Please I am married with kids.. my wife's highest qualification is OND which she obtained in 2014,she has been a full house wife since then taking care of our kids and selling some petty things. I have Bsc in Entrepreneurship and Business Management, I already had OND in marketing and I work in a bank as a contract staff (teller to be precise) for the past 8yrs my salary is little above 120k. We have other business that generate income for us though, we registered the business with only my wife as the director because I'm not ready to declare any OBI in my office. We stays in our 2 bedroom bungalow that God provided for us in a very good area not in the bush and we have 1 acre of land with deed of assignment in my name.

Now we are planning to relocate and needed professional advise,

1. Should we make my wife as PA if yes how do we explain the study gap since 2014 till date unless we will use the CAC as her business she has been doing.

I have already applied to a college awaiting their LoA but a friend to my wife who is already in Canada now said we made a wrong decision dt we should have made her the PA while i apply for SOWP dt a lady might not be able to hustle the way a man will of course I know this but I'm just thinking about the study gap and the funding aspect of it .

PROOF OF FUND:
Can I be her sponsor if we decided to make her the PA as my account is doing fine than hers meaning the money will be in my account and we make all necessary payment through my account.

Gracias for your response...
Your wife’s friend is right but you need to weigh your options. Being that she has only OND, she may have little limitations in terms of schools and all, but I understand you guys may not generate much income if she is the dependent. You have an upper hand with the degree you have, and you could apply for a 2 year pgde or graduate cert. course in your discipline (cheaper), and she would be the dependent, if she can work sha. If you eventually find a school that takes only OND (I’m assuming you’re not going through an agent), then by all means, apply and be the dependent. Just make sure you are applying for a post graduate course.

The study gap is not an issue per se. It can be written for you. Not even a big deal. Your SOP would also help back it up.

To answer your last question, you have enough home ties.

Please note that I am an agent, and this advice is coming from the experience I have, having secured admission for hundreds of applicants. Good luck.

Chibzzy789:
Greetings all. I plan applying for Jan 2024 admission and after doing some research and going through these threads, I found these 5 universities: Canadore college, Cambrian College, Confederation College, Conestoga college and Saulte college.
1. I found the OCAS registration site for these universities, will I make one payment for all these schools on the OCAS website or make a separate payment per school.
2. Which of these schools have fast admission processing time?
3. I checked the refund policy of these schools on their website and it seems fair. Is there anyone who has had an issue with refund on any of these schools please?

Thanks for all your help
Before I give this advice, I want you to know that I’m an educational consultant for people who migrate through the study route and I focus primarily on Canada. I apply to schools for people and provide the admission as fast as possible, writing the SOP for my applicants and securing a 95% success rate. Having said that, here goes:

Conestoga would have been your best bet, but I advise you to stay far away from them because they have started increasing their tuition deposits. It was initially $1,500, but now they would need you to pay an extra $8,000-9,000 before leaving the country. My clients have been unhappy about this but we do not have a choice than to follow their requirements. Please note that the tuition deposit can not be negotiated.

If you however have the money, you can by all means go there.

Cambrian college on the other hand has their tuition deposit fixed and pegged at $8,014. Their offer rate and speed according to the hundreds of applications I’ve done for them is 87% (I’ll keep Conestoga at 92%).

I do not partner with Confederation College but Canadore and saulte are great schools too. I’ll keep those at 80%.

I hope this helps, Good luck
