The Vice-Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University
of Technology, Ogbomoso, Prof. Adeniyi Gbadegesin,
has said 105 graduands bagged first class degrees, among
the 10,317 students who completed their studies in
2012/2013 and 2014/215 academic sessions.
The vice-chancellor said this at a press conference in
Ogbomoso on Wednesday ahead of the 13th convocation
of the university which would run from Thursday to
Saturday. Giving the breakdown of the classes of the degrees, Gbadegesin said 50 students bagged first class out of 5,469 students during the 2013/2014 set while 55 made first class out of 4,848 who graduated in 2014/2015 academic session.
The vice-chancellor said Ige Olufemi Elijah, of the
Department of Mathematics, emerged the best graduating student in 2013-2014 session, with a cumulative grade point average of 4.85. Miss Sanni Saidat Abidemi of the Department of Statistics, recorded a CGPA of 4.88 to emerge the overall best in the two sets.
The university also produced 112 PhDs, saying this was the first time LAUTECH produced over 100 doctorate degree holders at once.
Gbadegesin said despite the economic crisis rocking
Nigeria, the university had continued to produce quality graduates, who he said, were making waves in their different disciplines.

Eeyah. U should have chosen audit. One of my colleagues just moved from audit to forensic at the end of our first year. U might have been able to do that. Audit is cool ooo. We work long hours sometimes but I am learning a lot. I have nice teammates as well. So far, so good.
