In only three years, Infinix Mobility has built a strong reputation in the Nigerian market and more globally from the East to the West of this world; including Middle East, Europe and South East Asia region. A successful brand is built by people who know the industry; otherwise brand comes and disappears as fast as it comes. No High-tech companies are reaching their goals without any strong overview of market. Infinix Mobility has settled its benchmark and here is how. Infinix Mobility is a Hong Kong based company with head quarter in Shanghai for its research and development center (R& ) and Paris as design center. Shenzhen the electronic hub of the world is Infinix production center. To have a better understanding of Infinix Mobility there is no doubt that its success definitely comes from experienced executives of this industry. Benjamin Jiang, CEO of Infinix mobile, is an art bachelor graduated of Hefei Technology. It may answers questions around why Infinix smartphones designs are so trendy, catchy and unique (i.e. Infinix zero 2 made of Kevlar). 2003,Benjamin Jiang joined Bird Co., Ltd. Chinese mobile phone pioneer as Head of project Management. The following year, the company was listed in Shanghai Stock exchange. In 2009 the company received a government subsidy of 14 million Yuan. By 2007, Infinix Mobility CEO joined Longcheer holdings a leading Chinese mobile handset design house as GM of International Business Unit. Since 2012 Benjamin Jiang is now CEO of Infinix Mobility. Infinix Mobility: the No.1 online smartphone brand in Africa and Emerging Market’s Finding the right partners at the right time and on the right place is also part of the smartphone manufacturer success. When Infinix launched the Infinix Zero with Konga.com last year, it made Infinix Zero the No. 1 and best selling online smartphone in Africa. Nigerian consumers loved the Infinix Zero and bought 150,000 units. Made with superior materials—gorilla glass and sporting an octa-core processor from Mediatek, a HD screen and a 13MP camera with flash LED. The device brings innovation to Nigerian market. The success in Nigeria was later extended to East-Africa and Middle East. In November 2014, the smartphone manufacturer set Christmas mood with Infinix HOT. The device seems to match Nigerians taste of 5.0 inches screen, pocket friendly and colorful smartphone—yellow, red, white, black and pink—that reach 100 000 hands. The worldwide German statistics institute Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung showed that Infinix HOT raised the bar and surpassed brands like Samsung and Nokia in Q1 2015. Bringing technology and innovation straight at your fingertips By April, a technology storm hits Nigeria. African market is a special market—facing energy issues. Bruno Li, country manager for Nigeria, stated “As a High-tech company, it is our duty to deliver product that brings concrete solutions to the market.” Infinix HOT NOTE a 2 days battery life smartphone and super fast charging technology (30 min charge 7 hours use) was released by manufacturer. June 2015, the honorable successor of Infinix Zero series, Zero 2 delivered high specs and premium design, first of its kind on the continent. With its 5 inches HD Super Amoled and an ultra efficient 13 MP camera, Zero 2 brings to Africa bright and sharp vision of the High tech industry. Talking about design, the device weighs only 118g. The biggest surprise is the unique material selected by Infinix R& . In fact Zero 2 comes with a Kevlar battery back cover that is used in aeronautic equipment, safety and military industry. Kevlar is highly resistant against shock and five times lighter than steel. This time, Infinix decided to launch the device in the most prestigious university of Nigeria, Unilag University. Bruno Li, Infinix Nigeria Country Manager said “Being closer to our fans and end-users is what makes us understanding the market. We like to interact with our users either online or offline." Infinix Mobility partnered with Google, Jumia and MTN, three pillars of the High-tech ecosystem. Infinix launched Infinix HOT 2, the 1st official Android One product with lollipop 5.1 in Africa. Moreover the device comes with a 2GB RAM which will be a standard for the market. The operating system will be getting an update to the latest Android version up to two years. With the Hot 2, the largest African operator MTN is offering 1GB data for 500 Naira to fit consumers need in data connection. Finally HOT 2 has break new records with 30 000 units sold online in seconds. Infinix Mobility willing to focus on Africa: Yes we care! |

I have been interacting with the Infinix ZERO 4 device for a while now. During the unboxing article, I did I shared with you some few specs of the phone and what to expect should you choose to get the phone. My review is finally here and I will be sharing my experiences with it during the last couple of weeks I have been using the Infinix ZERO 4. https://techtrendske.co.ke/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_20161126_153632-1.jpg The Infinix ZERO 4 is a 4.5-inch device while the dimensions are 152 x 75.3 x 8.1 mm weighing just 168 grams. The ZERO 4 is a full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The pixel density is 480 dpi making the text and icon on the device very clear. The ZERO 4 Mali-T720 graphic processing unit works pretty nice for the graphics. In terms of design, Infinix Mobile really did some good work on the ZERO 4. The front body has a fully covered body from every side giving the ZERO 4 very good touch. At the top, we have the earpiece, the front camera, front flash and a notification sensor. https://techtrendske.co.ke/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/IMG_20161126_142736-1.jpg The functions keys, on the other hand, are located at the downside and come with dotted signs instead of the usual icons we are used to seeing in other phones. I found this to be quite confusing and it was really hard for me to locate the dots, especially during the night. At the back, the Infinix ZERO 4 has a metallic body. The 16MP back camera with dual LED flash is located at the middle with the fingerprint just below it. One issue I had with the camera though is that it is popping out. It is also much higher compared to other devices I have reviewed. This creates balance issues when you place the camera somewhere. I know this is the most critical part of a device that every person keen on buying a phone always looks out for? Did the phone serve me well? Mmmmm yes, it did. One thing, right now I wouldn’t buy a device with a memory less than 3GB which is what the Infinix ZERO 4 offered me. Running on 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, the phone performs quite good. The Infinix ZERO 4 has 1.3 GHz octa-core processor, remember Infinix ZERO 4 predecessor, the ZERO 3 had a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor. It has a chipset of Media Tek MT6753 and it is based on the architecture of ARM Cortex-A53. The Infinix ZERO 4 runs on the latest android version 6.0 (Marshmallow) with the exclusive interface of XOS chameleon version 2.0.0. The XOS Chameleon, as I mentioned in my Infinix Note 3 review is something I really loved. From the notifications, the icon colors and the processing speed, I find the XOS on the Infinix ZERO 4 quite interesting, again better than the HiOS. XOS whole family is also installed on the ZERO 4 and this includes XAccount, XCloud, XClub, XHide, XManager, XPower, XShare and XTheme, which has a collection of different wallpapers and themes. Camera: You definitely have to trust the Infinix ZERO 4 Camera The first time we got the Infinix ZERO 4 from Infinix Mobility offices at Cardinal Otunga Plaza, apart from the RAM and internal storage, one thing I was curious to know is its camera. I mean, everyone loves a phone with a good camera. In fact, most of the queries I am always getting on TechTrendsKE’s inbox about devices, a good percentage of them are always on the camera. Here is what the Infinix ZERO 4 has to offer: The rear camera is 16MP with dual LED flash. With the camera, I recorded videos in full 1080p quality and was able to save them in MP4 or 3GPA format. The camera also supports optical image stabilization and laser focus. It has more enhanced features with different modes including beauty, professional, normal, panorama, night and PIP mode. Some other features are gesture shot, smile shot, voice capture and auto scene detection. https://techtrendske.co.ke/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/15319110_10207734213221242_2975887024927765985_n.jpg The front camera, on the other hand, is 8MP with LED flash. Again, this was not bad in terms of clarity of pictures it can take. It captures higher quality images than I expected and there is very little noise in selfies. The details are still very sharp even without using the flashlight. It also performs really well in low light. The battery? The Infinix Zero 4 sports a non-removable 3,200mAh battery with fast charging and ultra-power saving capabilities. The octa-core processor with MediaTek chipset helps to save the battery life on the device. With the fast charge, you can actually charge the Infinix ZERO 4 from zero to 100% in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. One thing I noticed though is that excessive use of mobile data and graphics drains the battery very quickly. Excessive use of mobile data and graphics will drain the battery quickly. Conclusion: Did I love the Infinix ZERO 4? Overall I loved the Infinix ZERO 4. It is an upgraded version of the ZERO 3 with the major difference being the processor. The ZERO 3 had 2.2 GHz processor while Zero 4 has 1.3 GHz processor. The 16MP camera, the fingerprint sensor, the OIS and other amazing features make the Infinix ZERO 4 give other devices in the market a run for their money. If you want a fully packaged phone, good features and want to spend less money, the Infinix ZERO 4 is definitely a phone to consider. |

When General Muhammadu Buhari was pronounced winner of March 28, 2015 Presidential election on April 1, 2015, millions of Nigerians that fell to APC gimmicks went to the street to crlebrate that indeed change has come. Unknown to them the so called change was only April fool change as symbolised by the April 1st declaration. On May 28, 2015, Muhammadu Buhari was sworn in as President of this great country but can one still say 'change' has come? THE ECONOMY: Nigeria's economy was never an eldorado pre-May 29, 2015 but it was never a hell either. When Buhari came in, he refused to setup economic team and even assemble a cabinet for more than FIVE months. That cost Nigeria lots of investors and a delistment from globally reputable JP Morgan index in October. According to JP Morga, Nigeria was delisted because of lack of fiscal policies by the Buhari government and CBN's tickling/manipulation of the Foreign exchange (www.reuters.com/article/ idUSL5N11F1YQ20150909). Beyond JP Morgan, Nigeria has seen high rise in commodities, loss of jobs and exit of investors. Of recent, Diamond Bank disengaged thousands of her staffs due to economic environment of our darling Nigeria under Buhari. Nigeria also lost her place as the leader of investment ddestination in Africa. In fact, the once upon a time 'Ghana must go' was named the giant of Africa. SECURITY ANTI-CORRUPTION While the government would want to beat their chest with the ongoing and now boring arms probe, Nigerians cannot be deceived of their insincerity. Questions still hang around the source of funding of APC Presidential election, the multimillion naira spent by his minister Fashola for website when he held sway as Governor of Lagos, the millions of Naira demand by Lai Muhammed in the guise of China trip, his pardoning by fiat of exGov Sylva of Bayelsa and late Abubakar Audu of Kogi etc arr pointers that the government is an associate of corruption. In fact, the corruption was very much visible in the infamous 2016 padded and rePadded Budget that he prepared and signwd into law. While his government love to make us assume that the country is safe, there is the consensus that Boko Haram is still ravaging parts of the North East, and militants holding sway in Niger Delta area. The government has failed to protect lives and public properties. PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE This is a government that first came and claimed to fix the ailing refineries under turn around maintenance by Goodluck government. On assumption to office, the Buhari administration in June 11, 2015 without lifting a 'shovel' came out to say that the Portharcourt refinery will resume optimal production in July, 2015 www.premiumtimesng.com/ business/184850-port-harcourt-refinery-to- start-production-august-nnpc.html. Not done, they came out on July 20, 2015 that ALL 4 refineries will start optimal production in July “I think by July, the four refineries should begin to work,” www.premiumtimesng.com/business/185402- nigerias-four-refineries-to-resume-production- in-july.html. July came and gone...August came and has gone... Now the GMD of NNPC on September 10 came out to say the 4 refineries will start working optimally in December 2015. www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top- www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/189786-nigerias-4-refineries-must-be-functional-within-90-days-nnpc-boss.html One year after, we are yet to see result. TRANSPARENCY AND NATIONAL IMAGE For a man that made asset declaration one of his cardinal points, it is worrisome tht one year after assumption of office, Nigerians are yet to see his dwclared asset. In fact, the CCB long verified his secretly declared asset but he has failed to show Nigerians as promised. The President never spared any opportunity to malign and antagonised Nigerians on foreign media. In fact, his statrments empowered the British PM to tag Nigerians as fantastically corrupt. Such tag that would diacourge any sane investor. NATIONAL COHESION This is a President whose actions and inactions has made one believe that he promotes fulani and Northern supremcy agenda. First was his 97% and 5% principle, suxh prinxiple was implemented in all his key appointments. He is not bothered that Himself, the Senate President, House Speaker and Chief Justice are all Northerners. Yet, he went ahead to appoint the SGF and Chief of Staff from his North. Not done, he shifted the WHOLE Security Apparatus including National Security Adviser, Ministers of Defence and Police Affairs, and Chief of Army staff to the North. Not done, he moved all key parastatals under the aforementioned to the North. Not done with the above, the President has set aside one billion naira for cattle grazing of his fulani ethnic group. Such provilege was not accorded to any other profession. Can we talk about his fulani herdsmen menace? God help us CAMPAIGN PROMISES: It is no secret that Buhari government cancelled ALL their campaign promises including the N5000 payment to unemployed. One year after assumption of power, Nigerians are yet to feel change but instead our fortunes have moved from manageable to unfortunate. All we get from the government of blame game and excuse. Nigeria bleeds under Buhari. 366 Wasted Days... God grant us strength to endure till 2019. May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria Copied from Barcanista FB page |
