Are you commenting for the sake of it? Isn't it better for the animated characters to look like the real people? I think these people have done exceptionally well Josbreed: Thats how animation should be sometimes, it resembles the real face of the voicer, e.g. ANTZ, Sylvester Stallone really looked likehis animated character, DISGUISE, Tom Holland and Will Smith looked like ther characters. Health › United By Purpose: How United People Global Teaches Collaboration And Teamwork by madamgrace(op): 3:29pm On Jul 14, 2025 |
When individuals from vastly different backgrounds are placed in a shared space with a common goal, something powerful happens — and United People Global (UPG) has mastered the art of making that happen. Through its Sustainability Leadership program, UPG creates a unique environment where collaboration, cultural exchange, and team spirit are not just taught, but lived.
A prime example is the story of a dynamic tribe formed during one of UPG’s leadership cohorts. In this team were Roseline from Nigeria, Walter from Zimbabwe, Chelsea from the United States, Palesa from South Africa, Victoria from Brazil, and Mohammed from Pakistan. At first glance, this group of young changemakers had little in common beyond their desire to make a difference. But that was exactly what UPG intended: to show that collaboration transcends boundaries when a shared purpose exists.
From the onset, this diverse team was tasked with working together to achieve a common goal. Each person brought something different to the table — Walter's strategic insights, Chelsea’s creative flair, Palesa’s emotional intelligence, Victoria’s discipline, Mohammed’s analytical mind, and Roseline’s leadership and organization. UPG’s approach required them to step beyond their comfort zones, communicate effectively across time zones, and embrace each other’s perspectives.
As the team began to collaborate, the transformation was clear. What began as a group of strangers quickly became a circle of trust and shared vision. Weekly meetings turned into moments of mutual growth. Brainstorming sessions became opportunities to learn from one another. The team didn’t just divide tasks — they united in purpose, leveraging their diverse strengths to create real impact.
Journalistic observation reveals that UPG doesn’t merely assign teamwork; it curates experiences that build it from the ground up. The program nurtures leadership in such a way that participants are not only empowered to lead but are also taught the value of following, listening, and compromising — all hallmarks of effective collaboration.
The bond this particular tribe built went far beyond the duration of the program. They became friends, supporters, and long-term partners. The experience taught them how to work across cultural lines with empathy, how to turn differences into strengths, and how to foster genuine connections in a digital, often divided world.
Their journey stands as a testament to the success of UPG’s model. By bringing together people from different nations and life stories, and equipping them with tools for teamwork and leadership, UPG helps to build a generation that knows how to collaborate — not just in theory, but in practice.
In conclusion, United People Global doesn’t just talk about global citizenship and teamwork. It builds it — one tribe, one story, and one united purpose at a time.

Lagos, Nigeria – An Ikeja High Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of Deacon Jide Durojaye and Pastor Wale Adejoru, both members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, along with Ibrahim Baba Madaki and Legrande Properties Development Company. The arrest warrants stem from charges of conspiracy, forcible entry, forcible possession, and willful damage to property, offenses that contravene the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015.
The charges were brought by the Inspector General of Police following a petition by Mr. Kingsley Osiegbu. Mr. Osiegbu alleged that the accused individuals trespassed on his property in Songotedo town, Ibeju Lekki, carting away valuables such as a smartphone, iron gate, and sand, and forcibly taking possession of the land.
During a court hearing on December 12, 2024, before Justice Abike Fadipe, the prosecution, represented by Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed, informed the court that the defendants had failed to appear despite being served with court documents. It is a big relief to me that the case against the minors arrested over the #EndBadGovernance protest has now been withdrawn and the entire issue has been resolved.
The case in which minors were paraded in terrible physical condition as treasonable felons should not have arisen at all. That spectacle in court does not present good optics for our dear country.
Nigeria is a leader in the world and therefore we must provide leadership by avoiding cases that present us in bad light. Our security agents must be conscious of the image of the country even while seeking to enforce the laws.
Let me commend the AGF, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, for his quick intervention after the Friday court case which set in motion the process that has eventually led to the withdrawal of the matter, as ordered by President Bola Tinubu.
I call on the Federal and State Governments as well as well-to-do individuals to come to the aid of these minors. We need to help them to achieve easy rehabilitation and reunion with their respective families.
This present situation should present us with an opportunity to resettle them into society as more responsible individuals with the chance to grow up and become skilled, patriotic, and hopeful adults. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/W1qB9KDUKdp7TNej/https://x.com/bukolasaraki/status/1853793611512529097

Politics › Mazi Gburugburu Continues August Visits, Celebrates With Owerri And Mbaise Women by madamgrace(op): 12:57am On Aug 26, 2024 |
Mazi Gburugburu Continues August Visits, Celebrates With Owerri and Mbaise Women Dr. Matthew Chima Amadi, Mazi Gburugburu, continued his statewide show of solidarity with women across Imo State, as he graced the August meetings of women in different communities in Imo State on Friday and Saturday.
Braving a mean downpour that kept most inside, Dr. Amadi's first port of call was at St. Anthony's Parish, Ibeku Okwuato, Aboh Mbaise LGA on Friday, where the women of the community were gathered to celebrate the meeting.
After visibly enjoying the singing and dancing performances put out by the women, Dr. Amadi introduced himself, assuring the women that he was one of them. He stressed the importance of August meetings to development of Ala Igbo, pointing to its origins as a developmental meeting among Igbo women after the Biafran War. Hence, he declared that anyone who downplayed the importance of women to development was wasting their time, and tasked the women present to take as much interest in governance as they took in immediate development of their families, to ensure that their efforts did not go to waste.
Concluding his speech, Mazi Gburugburu donated ₦1.5 million to the developmental initiatives of the women of Ibeku Okwuato Community, while also adding an additional ₦1 million to be shared to everyone present.
Subsequently, Mazi Gburugburu proceeded to the August Meeting of Nguru Obeama community in Aboh Mbaise LGA, where the women heartily welcomed him with loud cheers and dance performances.
Speaking to them, Dr. Amadi acknowledged the efforts of the women in carrying their families and immediate communities on their backs, and charged them to also include Imo State in their unfailing care. He observed that a bad society was especially bad on women, as they bore the brunt of mismanagement and underdevelopment.
Before he left, Mazi supported the women of the community with ₦1.5 million cash, and also donated ₦1 million cash to be shared to every woman present at the event.
Gburugburu continued his visits on Saturday, celebrating with the women of Ogbeke Obibiezema Community in Owerri North LGA.
After the offering of kola and an energetic dance performance, Dr. Amadi acknowledged all the women present and praised the happiness and vigor with which they received him, observing that only a happy woman can lead to a happy family and society at large. Pointing out the proximity of the community to his own hometown, Gburugburu affirmed that whatever affected the women affected him too, and that this was why he would work to make their circumstances better.
At the end of his speech, Dr. Amadi donated ₦1.5 million cash to the community development efforts of the women, and also gave an August meeting gift of ₦1 million cash to be shared to every woman present at the event. As the women thanked him for his generosity, prayed for him and promised him their support, he also promised to answer whenever they reached out to him.
Braving the bad roads, Dr. Amadi also honored the invitation to the August meeting of the women of Umuokpo Emeabiam in Owerri West LGA, where he was welcomed by an elaborate parade by the women of the community.
Identifying the shortcuts and hidden roads he used to take when he was young, he dispeled any doubt in the minds of the gathered women that he truly was one of them, and had grown up close to their community. He noted that he knew their problems on a personal level, and that there was no way he would ignore these problems if he was in the position to solve them.
Continuing his generous streak, Gburugburu donated ₦3 million cash to the women to help them in the projects they were undertaking, and also donated ₦1 million to be shared to all the women present at the meeting, as deafening cheers erupted from the gathered crowd.
As the women thanked Dr. Amadi for his generosity, some of the women pointed out that this was the first time they were being remembered when it was not yet election period. They also observed that only someone who truly cared could take out time to do all these when there was nothing to be gained in the short term.

Politics › Archbishop Johnpraise Condemns Threat Against First Lady by madamgrace(op): 8:04pm On Feb 24, 2024 |
In a stirring address, Archbishop JohnPraise Daniel, the Presiding Archbishop of Dominion Chapel International Churches and Chairman of the Northern Coalition of Bishops & Apostles (NOCOBA), has strongly condemned a recent threat against Senator Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria.
Expressing profound dismay, Archbishop Daniel decried the reprehensible call for violence against Senator Tinubu, labeling it as an affront to fundamental principles of religious tolerance.
He said “Any threat to Pastor Mrs Oluremi Tinubu is a threat to the President, is a threat to women, is a threat to all Christians, is a threat to all clergy and is a threat to all Nigerians”, emphasizing the gravity of the situation and its implications for the entire nation.
The Archbishop drew attention to the misuse of religion to stoke divisiveness in an already volatile political landscape, he called for resolute action within the bounds of Nigerian law.
“Every Nigerian citizen has the fundamental rights and duty to call out our leaders whenever and wherever we feel they are wrong but it must be done within the ambit of the Nigerian law,” he emphasized, stressing the importance of adherence to legal frameworks in addressing grievances.
Archbishop Daniel’s address buttressed the resilience of Nigeria’s religious fabric in the face of adversity. Despite facing backlash and threats for his stance, he reaffirmed his belief in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to national unity and prosperity.
“Yet President Tinubu has not failed the nation. I believe he will turn the country around and we shall see Nigeria prosper once again,” he declared, exhibiting unwavering faith in the country’s leadership.
Archbishop Daniel issued a resounding call for unity and dialogue, urging immediate interfaith engagement to quell escalating tensions. “I call for an urgent interfaith dialogue that can make such utterances a thing of the past,” he urged, advocating for proactive measures to prevent future incidents of religiously motivated violence.
In a bid to institutionalize efforts towards religious harmony, the Archbishop proposed the appointment of a Special Adviser to the President on Interfaith/Religious Matters. This strategic move, he argued, would serve as a vital conduit for mitigating interreligious tensions and fostering a climate of understanding and cooperation.
He was quoted as saying, “We also call for the appointment of a Special Adviser to the President on Inter-faith/Religious Matters, who can and should be our first port of call to prevent, or deescalate such inter religious tensions.”
As Archbishop Daniel concluded his address, he invoked blessings upon Senator Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the nation’s unity and prosperity. https://truthlivenews.com/archbishop-johnpraise-condemns-threat-against-first-lady-calls-for-interfaith-dialogue/

Politics › Saraki: We Were Portrayed As Enemies When We Demanded Transparency From Buhari by madamgrace(op): 1:31pm On Feb 22, 2024 |
Did you listen to the Senate deliberations today? What we witnessed in the Red Chamber underscores the vital role of legislative oversight and the importance of speaking truth, standing with the people, and fulfilling our constitutional roles.
Today's inquiries were those that the 9th Senate should have pursued but evidently did not, resulting in the current repercussions for their inaction.
It brought back memories of the 8th Senate's insistence on transparency and accountability. I remember when we were asking for details of the foreign loan requests brought by the Buhari administration and were portrayed as enemies of the state and obstructive to national progress.
I must acknowledge the 10th Senate's effort in even deliberating on these crucial issues.
This moment stands as a powerful reminder that the legislative arm of government must effectively play its constitutional role at all times in the interest of the people they represent, despite the personal sacrifices that may need to be made. Only then will the public and the people truly benefit.
I sincerely hope we learn from the mistakes of the past.
