JASONjnr:
Unionism in Nigerian university is all about youths learning to steal and embezzle funds in the name of projects and do little....

If you check the funds released for this outreach, you will understand my point..

But like we often say, half bread is better than none... Whenever we're cheated on.

LAUTECH SUG Empowered Over 4,000 Students During 8months ASUU Strike and Awarded Overall Best students with #400,000 as Start-Up Grants

The Empower Ladokites was a bid aimed at fulfilling the E- Empowerment in the ARISE (Academic Welfarism, Renovation, Innovation, Security, Empowerment) agenda of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Students’ Union Government (TEAM ARISE) led by Adeboye Anuoluwa. It was an initiative to empower the students with skills and resources outside academics to provide them financial strength during the 8months ASUU industrial strike action break. The Empower Ladokites was a skill acquisition and vocational training scheme that equipped the students with every skill and resource possible and enough to earn the students responsible living, a legitimate source of income, and consequently financial independence.

The online registrations for Empower Ladokites started on 24th February and ended on 28th February 2022, with more than 4,000 students registering for it. This hallmark kicked off with an orientation on Monday, 7th March 2022 while the training runs through the ASUU strike period.

The empowerment program schedule was designed in a way that enabled each session to hold three classes per week. It involved sessions of twenty skills; 8 digital skills and 12 non-digital skills. The digital skills included Copywriting, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Digital Currency, Frontend Web Development, Graphics Designing, Python, UI/UX Design while the non-digital skills included Bag and Bead Making, Barbing, Catering and Decoration, Fashion Designing, Hairdressing, Interior Decoration, Make Up and Gele Tying, Paint Production, Photography, Shoe and Belt Making, Soap and Cream Making, Tye and Dye. Each session was provided with adequate resources and held at different suitable venues on campus and at different times to avoid sessions clashing and ease venue tensions.

The Empowerment scheme could never have been a success without the service of 23 willing and competent facilitators who volunteered to serve for free. The facilitators are thus: Adepoju Oyinloluwa (Bag and Bead Making), Adepoju Abiodun Ibrahim (Barbing), Adeola J. Alade and Ogunlabi Azeezat Temidayo (Catering and Decoration), Olanipekun Opeoluwa (Copywriting), Adeleke Victor Jesutosin (Data Science), Boluwatife Adegoke Oyewumi (Digital Marketing), John Adekunjo D. and Thelma Opurum Ekele (Digital Currency), Adeoye Damola (Fashion Designing), Olatunji Ibrahim Olasunkanmi (Frontend Web Development), Akano Michael Olaoluwa (Graphics Designing), Olabisi Falade (Hairdressing), Kolapo Iyanuoluwa Amos (Interior Decoration), Adeoye Taiwo and Adeoye Kehinde (Make Up and Gele Tying), Ajao Obaloluwa Adeleke (Paint Production), Engr. Goodness T. Opatola (Photography), Tewogbade Adedeji (Python), Jibril Olanrewaju Adelabu (Shoe and Belt Making), Ajao Khadijat Bolanle and Oshodi Ayobami Ifeoluwa (Soap and Cream Making), Adeleke Olusoji Faith (Tye and Dye), Olanrewaju Adefolake Mariam (UI/UX Design). These distinguished individuals labored to add value and impart the participants with fundamental knowledge and adequate field exposure in their respective sessions.

Yesterday, at the Students Empowerment Summit with the theme, Beyond the Classroom, Students Participation in Entrepreneurship: A Pathway to National Development held at The Great Hall, LAUTECH, all students that participated in this scheme were issued a certificate of completion, all facilitators were awarded a certificate of honor and a sum of four hundred thousand naira only (#400,000) was awarded to overall best students as beneficiaries of the Start-Up Grants.

The beneficiaries of the Start-Up Grants were Adegoke Karamah (Bag and Bead Making), Oyesola Adesewa (Barbing), Arohunmolase Favour (Catering and Decoration), Abdulrazak Abdulrasheed (Copywriting), Abdulrouf Waliyullahi (Data Science), Ogunwande Timi (Digital Marketing), Abebi Toyin F. (Digital Currency), Fategbe Eunice (Fashion Designing), Alabi Idris O. (Frontend Web Development), Ayomide Daniel (Graphics Designing), Elijah Tolulope K. (Hairdressing), Ogunjobi Eunice G. (Interior Decoration), Sanni Khadijat (Make Up and Gele Tying), Bakare Oluwafemi (Paint Production), Adetunji Victor (Photography), Fasina Ayomikun (Python), Taiwo Mercy Tolu (Shoe and Belt Making), Akinsoto Aminat Abiodun (Soap and Cream Making), Olabamiji Olaronke (Tye and Dye), Bamikunle David (UI/UX Design).

It is a great delight to see students already being productive in their skill of choice. Several of the beneficiaries of this empowerment program have proceeded to continue their learning at several places, some of which continued with their facilitators.

The Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. M.O Liasu, while delivering his goodwill message appraised the SUG Executives led by Adeboye Anuoluwa for empowering the students in profitable skills. The Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. A.O Ige commended the SUG for their relentless effort throughout the 8months ASUU strike and for making use of the limited resources that are available to engage the students of the University in a lifetime career.

The Chairman of the Empower Ladokites who is also the Assistant General Secretary of the SUG, Azeez Olasunkanmi, in his address appreciated everyone who supported the program with all needed resources and equally showers a heap of praise on the resourceful facilitators and committee members who committed all of their energy and time to train the students. He ultimately encouraged the students to build more on what they have learned and see the Start-Up Grant as a lever to kick-start their entrepreneurial journey.

In his remark, the SUG President, Adeboye Anuoluwa, on behalf of the executives expresses his most earnest gratitude to the University management and entire students for giving them a chance to fulfill one of their campaign promises. He then encouraged all the students that participated in the scheme to make the best use of their acquired skills and the beneficiaries to make judicious use of their start-up grants. He further stated that this scheme will set a pace for more empowerment schemes in subsequent times from the school and other obliged bodies and administration. Yet, this will not be the end of our efforts to satiate the needs of the Students’ Union and fulfilling our promises to the students. We will strive to do more.

As it is now, Empower Ladokites has become a household brand name that empowered students in the history of LAUTECH. The Empower Ladokites is yet a remarkable and unrivalled initiative and second to none in the chronicles of the Students’ Union Government of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

_*Brief Report of the 1st Edition of all Secondary schools in Ogbomoso, Essay, Quiz Challenge, and Debate Championship, which has its formal event and the grand finale at the 250LT, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso Oyo State Nigeria on Saturday, April 2, 2022.*_

With regard to the chronicles of Sdg 4- ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, with an imprint on the nation's heart in a fast-paced year such as "2022". Numerous acts of giving back to Society might race through your mind. It might be online or physical but here is a humanitarian act that has etched its imprint in the annals of all students of knowledge history, specifically Ogbomoso Secondary school students.

Fascinatingly, in attendance were over 50 secondary schools, with rationalized intellectualism. The essay phase was filled up with vibrant ink put into paper by the young growing intellectual lads. The essay topic is: "Education, Spirituality, and Nature are Inseparable entities; A reality or Mirage"

Moving forward, the second phase of the program was held at Nurudeen Grammar school, where numerous Secondary schools converge, they debated the "Education attainment affects or influences our spirituality belief.

Equally, with the Quiz challenge, students were assessed on Mathematics, Use of English, General knowledge, and Current Affairs.

What's more, the winner in each category was crowned, awarded, and gifted cash prizes. Truthfully, Vanguards looks behind tertiary impact, we are a plus to society.

To this end, the competition allowed the young lads to showcase their spectacular, intellectual skills, ability, and resourcefulness. It promoted intellectualism, encourage social commerce among students from different schools, and upgrade the commitment of the students towards their studies.

Mummy GO: Controversial messages of Funmilayo Adebayo who claimed to have seen Lucifer face-to-facePublished on January 9, 2022 By ABOBARIN OLALEKAN (MAESTRO)

In recent weeks, Nigerians have been startled by prophecies and doctrines being propagated by a controversial pastor, Evangelist Funmilayo Adebayo popularly Known as Mummy G.O.

Mummy G.O’s ministry, Rapture Proclaimer Evangelistic Church (RAPEC) became popular and controversial online in December 2021 when she began preaching about things that will make everyone go to hell fire. In one of her preachings, she revealed that she was an executive/super agent of the highest form of darkness with lucifer and had sold guns, pushed cocaine with fly-carpet not normal transport before she was arrested by christ.

She mentioned that her beauty and figure 8 shape were taken away from her when she gave her life to Christ.

Mummy G.O who started her ministry 24 years ago said she was born in Egypt as a military soldier and died but was initiated after death where she learnt how to speak fluently and other experiences as she stopped schooling in primary 4.

According to her, God called her to preach to people of the world to focus on heaven but people hate her because she says secrets about things people don’t like to hear that will make them miss heaven.

In one of her viral videos, she revealed how she automatically became a virgin after she prayed and gave her life to Christ.

She also called out Frank Edwards, Tope Alabi, Tiwa Savage, Tonto Dikeh in some of her videos with their dance steps and dressing as ungodly.
According to her , those who want to become superstars should forget about heaven.

This and many other preachings have continued to stir conversations as some mocked her preachings with viral memes.

DAILY POST has highlighted some preachings by Mummy GO which have continued to generate reactions from Nigerians online;

•Football

Mummy GO revealed that the dark world decided to use football as a game to unite people ahead of rapture. She mentioned that those who like or support football are members of antichrist.

According to her, anybody that dies as a football star or becomes a star is an automatic certificate to hell. She added that the antichrist will appear on the final day of the world cup (year not revealed) and will be revealed to the whole world. Football symbolizes emptiness

•Comedians will go to hell
Mummy GO asked those who have dreams to become a comedian to renounce Jesus. According to her, “to become a comedian means you’re destined for hell.”

Antibiotics are dangerous; If you continue taking vitamin C, you can’t make heaven because ascorbic acid came from the deep sea, it is not produced on earth.

•National ID

She also claimed that a National ID card is preparation for the kingdom of antichrist so that agents through computers will know those that have not received the mark.

•Food
Mummy GO in one of her teachings claimed that eating any agric food will hinder one from living a holy life. She also claimed those eating Titus fish will not make heaven.

She added that Indomie is a food dedicated to idols. “All children asking your parents to buy you phones you are asking for a ticket to hell fire,” Mummy GO also claimed.

•Vaccine
The preacher also said those who received vaccines will not see heaven. She claimed that those vaccinated do not exist in the sight of God, adding that they are no longer human beings made by God but automatically belong to lucifer.

“Those using pampers, pad cannot make heaven because the companies producing them are affiliated with antichrist companies,” she claims.

•Those seeking the America lottery were not left out as Mummy GO mentioned that there will be no rapture for those who travel to America by lottery.

•Women
The evangelist also warned ladies against wearing trousers as it is a sin. She revealed that those who apply makeup and makeup artists are descendants of Jezebel and the spirit and judgement of Jezebel is awaiting them.
“Eyelash is from the armpit of Satan, therefore, you can’t make heaven,” she said in one of her teachings.

•Mummy GO during one of her sermons said skin-cut is a skin and wearing trousers with belt holes. She also mentioned that wearing jeans is a sin as it is from the dark world.

According to her, the full meaning of Jeans is the global uniform of antichrist. She advised men to rather wear trousers with elastic.

The controversial cleric in another sermon watched by DAILY POST said cartoons are from the kingdom of darkness, as a way to lead children and prepare them for dark power
