Guy: for me, I have been praying for one thing…God’s favour to leave this country…

I turned a sharp look at him –

Guy: ehen now? e beta to be tree for America than to be person for Nigeria!

My head dropped! That was the greatest blow my life long dream has ever received in recent times. I raised my head to give him a response but was at a loss where to start or whom to address first. Nigeria sure do need a change, but who needs the change? The buses or the drivers? The system or the people? The school or the teachers and students? The government or the officials? Who exactly needs the change? We have had more policies than any other nation in the world, more population than any other black country, more resources than most other countries. We walk on gold; sleep on crude oil and site on wash on natural gas reserves, yet we wake up POOR. Whose fault?
grin grin grin grin grin grin its soo unfortunate but this is naija for you. we dont believe in ourselves. the revolution to change naija must begin from our mindset.
PoliticsRe: Muhammadu Buhari by maga1: 12:47am On Jan 06, 2011
I think Jakumo is afraid of cleaning his environment (sanitization) which was introduced by Buhari or rather he wouldnt want to queue up in any place that demands. The truth remains that if not for Buhari Nigeria would have been far worse than it is now. Imagine if his regime did not force people to queue up whenever the situation demands , IMO he is going to sanitize the system and bring Nigerians back on the right track before development can take its full course.

you have to see this man wherever he campaigns. He has no paid crowd bcoz he has no money to pay the crowd. The man is soooo natural

are you a police man huh Its better you do not risk your life!
i am not a police man oh. but come to think of it. we dont have full trust in our police bcoz they might end up collecting 'egunje' and change the ballot boxes. but we will help them, together we will work (no fighting with the police) after all the police is our friend.

ONE MAN ONE VOTE.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Likely To Win Under Free And Fair Election - John Campbell by maga1(op): 10:40pm On Jan 05, 2011
jason123:
We all know he would win WITHOUT rigging as we all know that GJ would rig this election undecided
i tell ya, this time around we are going to escort all the ballot boxes to the INEC offices just the way it was done in lagos, Kano, Bauchi etc. me thinks this way we will reduce greatly the percentage of irregularities.

we have to kick corruption out of Nigeria and bring back discipline before the country can move forward.
PoliticsBuhari Likely To Win Under Free And Fair Election - John Campbell by maga1(op): 10:30pm On Jan 05, 2011
Buhari ruled Nigeria from January 1984 to August 1985, when he was toppled in a miliatry coup. He is one of Nigeria's most popular politicians and is perceived as being more democratic than most of Nigeria's leaading politicians, according to John Campbell, a former US ambassador to Nigeria.

"He has a great deal of popularity on the street," says Campbell. "Ordinary Nigerians tend to regard him as being extremely disciplined and absolutely uncorrupt."

As well as fighting against corruption during his time in office, he eliminated multi-story rubbish piles in Lagos by establishing Sanitation Saturdays, when rubbish is collected.

"If he were to win, it would be a pretty good indication that the elections were indeed free, fair and credible," says Campbell. "There would be a strong emphasis on attacking corruption and that would be quite popular."

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan To Appoint Anti-terrorism Chief by maga1: 10:53am On Jan 04, 2011
This is creation of another 'functionless' office where money would be wasted for nothing. It is just going to be an office where huge salaries and allowances would be paid for inactiveness. What happened to the anti-terror squad in the army and police? Are they not headed by humans? Then why do we need to create another "THESAME" thing. This only shows that we dont know where we are heading to. I tire for this pdp govt oh.
PoliticsRe: Fbi Closing In On The Bomb Blast Suspects/sponsors by maga1: 10:31am On Jan 04, 2011
I am begining to suspect gej as the man behind those bombings in order to frame up his opposition and score cheap points. At first, it was 1st october bombing and he linked it with ibb who was his strongest opponent. Some arrest were made but since ibb stepped aside we heard nothing about the case. Now it is xmas and new year bombing and he is trying to link it to atiku (why not ibb). I think gej may be the demon nigeria needs to pray against. Who knows after he eventually wins the pdp primaries (which may be impossible), he will detonate another bomb in order to frame up his then strongest opponent (buhari, ribadu). Na wa oh.

^^ mr marcdunu u hve spoken well. This whole thing is just about logic. Mr paul or watever is his name should just sue pdp 4 having section 7(2c) in their constitution instead of wasting his time. By the way, jona & atiku are thesame pple to me. I'd rather vote 4 anoda party.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Kills Pastor, 5 Others In Borno by maga1: 10:15am On Dec 26, 2010
^^ why clamouring 4 division of nigeria when u knw there shld be other means of resolving this. Ok, if naija shld separate where do u want your xtian brothers in borno, kano, adamawa etc to go? I guess d violence still continues. We are bent on solving this within time. The major problem here is poverty & lack of good governance 4rm our leaders. For instance the useless governor of borno state is doin nothing in d state to alleviate d suffering of d poor. On d other hand he is busy encouraging thugry. The best way is to dialogue & find ways to reduce poverty.
