Jackye Madu, one of the BBNaija season four “Pepper Dem” housemates, has won N1.5 million `Know Da Lyric’ challenge in the Big Brother House.

Biggie had introduced a new task, ‘ Know Da Lyrics challenge’ which every housemate was expected to choose from the written lyrics of Pepsi brand Ambassadors, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Davido, Burna Boy and Teni and perform.

After spending one day rehearsing for the Pepsi Challenge ‘Know Da Lyrics,’ the housemates finally came together to give their best as they tried to win the task with Jackye taking home the coveted prize at the end of the day.

Out of the 17 housemates, Jackye and Seyi made it to the final, where Jackye defeated Seyi to become the winner of the challenge which also includes a VVIP ticket for a 4-day One Africa Music Fest in Dubai.

The first song of the day was Wizkid’s ‘Fever’ which was performed by the housemates.

At the end of the song, Biggie praised some of the housemates for their excellent performance.

However, some of the housemates got disqualified from the task, for singing the lines that weren’t meant for them.

The first housemates to get the red card were Mercy, Khafi, and Sir Dee.

Then came the second song which was performed by the housemates, however, Thelma got disqualified for breaking the rules of the task. It didn’t take long before Frodd, Ike and Gedoni got axed from the game, according to pulse.ng.

Mercy shocked by her disqualification broke down in tears. The guys were however on hand to console her.

Then came Ike who was on hand to cuddle his love interest in the house.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday held consultations with the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, as well as other monarchs in Ogun. The consultations were on the way out of the security challenges currently confronting Nigeria. Osinbajo was accompanied to the palace of Ajayi by Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun.

The vice president, who fielded questions from newsmen after the meeting, said the meeting was on the instruction of President Muhammadu Buhari.“As you know, there are many significant security concerns all over the country, and there are concerns also in the Southwest.

“So, I am here on the instruction of the president to consult with the traditional ruler, the governor and others on what to do to beef up security and to generally improve the security architecture.

Of course, you know that Kabiyesi is not just a traditional ruler, but a very important part of the government.

“That is why we are here; to talk to him and agree on few modalities for beefing up security; and ensuring that we are fully conscious of all that is going on, just to be sure that peace and security reigns here and across the country.

“I think for all of us, the most important thing to realise is that we are one Nigeria; we are one country; we need to work together to ensure that it is peaceful, secured and happy for all of us,’’ he said.

He noted that Nigeria had the potential to give its citizens all they desired.

Osinbajo, however, said that some people were working against the interest of the country by trying to cause instability.

He expressed optimism that by God’s grace, Nigeria would overcome all its problems and set itself on the path of peace and prosperity.

The vice president, in company of Abiodun, then proceeded to Ijebu Ode, where he also held a private meeting with the Awujale of Ijebu Kingdom, Oba Sikiru Adetona.

Speaking with newsmen after, Osinbajo said that Awujale was one of the most important voices in the Southwest.

He said they had discussed on the very important steps to take in order to improve the security architecture generally.

According to him, the monarch has given a lot of insight; his own views, on what needs to be done, how to go about it; and what has been done already.

“But very importantly, it is his commitment to ensuring that there is peace and security, and that everybody lives in peace with one another and maintains the highest level of security.

“We are consulting with many of the traditional rulers across the country, but there are concerns in the Southwest now.

“I will be in Osun on Tuesday; we are going to go round to see the Alake, the Oni and other traditional rulers, and primarily, they themselves want to participate in improving the security architecture.

“The President has spoken about the role of traditional rulers in maintaining peace and security in their own localities.“As we know, they are the closest to the grassroots; the closest to their communities.

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has accused the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, of being “power drunk.”

Speaking with DAILY POST, AYCF President General, Yerima Shettima, who was reacting to the feud between the Ganduje-led state government and Sanusi, described the face-off as unnecessary.

The Ganduje-led administration had queried Sanusi for allegedly misappropriating the Emirate Council’s N3.4 billion.

It was gathered that the Emir was queried after the submission of a report by the State office of the anti-corruption and Public Complaint Commission who investigated him on the alleged squandering of the Emirate Council’s funds.

The report, which was submitted to the state government last week Tuesday was said to have recommended for the immediate suspension of the Emir.

The government has consequently handed down a query to the Emir through the Office of the Secretary to the Government, Usman Alhaji.

DAILY POST had reported that the government was planning on the complete deposition of the Emir when a final report of its forthcoming panel of inquiry comes out indicting Sanusi.

However, Shettima warned that the deposition of Emir Sanusi would lead to crisis in Kano State.

According to Shettima: “The issue is totally unnecessary; but I thank God for the ongoing interventions and reconciliation at the instance of well-meaning Nigerians.

“I thank God because the alleged move won’t happen because if it happens, Kano would have gone into crisis and we all know how Kano is when it comes to the issue of violence.

“It’s really a terrible place to experience violence. I thank God for those who intervened also you can’t undermine the place of a traditional ruler. The Kano traditional Emirate has been there for over five centuries and Ganduje thinks he can just wake up one day because he has four years and undermine that institution that would amount to calamity.

“Ganduje is power drunk and he is abusing it in this matter. He can’t be fighting everybody at the same time no matter how powerful he is. Ganduje is nothing but a common mortal.

He can’t be fighting everybody, its so embarrassing there was no reason for the crisis, he just went about creating unnecessary panic everywhere. In the nearest future he is going to bear the cross for so many things he has done.”

Former Senate Majority Leader, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has dismissed as unrealistic, claims by his opponent in the race for Senate Presidency, Ahmed Lawan, of having secured the endorsement of over 60 Senators-elect.

Reacting to report of Lawan’s endorsement, yesterday, Ndume noted that it was one thing to get endorsement and another to secure actual votes.

Ndume, who spoke to journalists immediately after Lawan announced his endorsement, said: “I’ve said before that I am not looking for endorsement, but looking for votes on election day.

You would recall that in 2015, the story of endorsement was also canvassed. He had the endorsement but what happened on the floor of the Senate was different…”He said he believed his colleagues would vote according to their conscience, and elect a suitable candidate.

Oba of Lagis Shade OBJ,Says Atiku is not right candidate for Nigeria

The Oba of Lagos Rilwan Akiolu on Wednesday took a jibe at Nigeria former president Olusegun Obasanjo who he described as a problem creator for the country for opposing the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Akiolu said this when the participants of the Senior Executive Course 41 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, visited his palace.“The number one person creating problems in this country is former president Obasanjo,” Akiolu said.Prior to the 2019 presidential election, Obasanjo, who supported Buhari against then President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014, withdrew his support and campaigned for his former vice Atiku Abubakar to unseat Buhari after the election.

Obasanjo claimed that Buhari was unfit, nepotic and incapable of leading Nigeria.But after the presidential election in March 2019, Buhari was declared the winner of the election. He polled 15, 191, 847 votes while Atiku, a former Nigerian vice president between 1999 and 2007, got 11, 262, 978 votes.

Atiku, who alleged the election was rigged, is challenging the presidential election result at the election petition tribunal. The Oba of Lagos, Akiolu said Atiku will not succeed at the tribunal.“If anyone of you here is close to Atiku, tell him he can never succeed in what he is doing now,” Akiolu said.
