Transformation my friend starts from the top! The wickedness and dumbness of our leaders are very hurting to all Nigerians. It will be better if crude is not pumped out of the ground in the first place than for it to be pumped out and the money from it ends up in private accounts.

CRUDE OIL OR NOT, THE LEADERS ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH TO RUN THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES IN A LIFETIME,
WE SHOULDN'T FORGET THAT THERE ARE THE GREATER PERCENTAGE AVERAGE OIL COMPANY STAFF, CONTRACTORS, SUBCONTRACTORS CO-SUB CONTACTORS THAT NEED THEIR USUAL MONTHLY OR WEEKLY STIPENDS FROM THESE OIL COMPANIES TO RUN THEIR FAMILIES. THEY USUALLY END UP BEING THE FIRST VICTIMS OF TERMINATED JOBS, DOWNSIZING, CONTRACT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION ETC.
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, THESE OIL COMPANIES ARE MAJOR ECONOMIC DRIVERS IN THE NIGER DELTA.

This happened mainly due to the fact that Yar'Adull wasn't around to give proper instructions to the police/army.

This election will be struck down at the tribunal,Goodluck will be in charge for the re-run & Soludo will be massively rigged in as per the normal trend.

at seal777 and mahal, i  happen to be a new owner of a 1999 V6 camry. trust me, that car is just it! Mine is not giving me any issues and i pray it stays like that. i have been warned to service it regularly and to promptly deal with any small issue it comes up with. but then, i need to know how this car consumes fuel. have u guys  gauge the miles covered with a full tank?  thanks,
relax Adron and enjoy the ride, nuttin do you. Its only when there's a fault. which we complained about earlier (the brain box).
Toyotas are fuel efficient.

Hi Seal,
Thanks, my Mech guy is outta town, however i discussed with his assist.
I have resolved to do it, I believe it would be better if i change the brain.
It would be nice to share info, but generallly Camry's are trouble free. i dunno when last

I 'm in Waari Delta State. PH is 3.5 hours away from warri.
AutosRe: Toyota Camry 1999 Smokes And Jerks: Sweet Testimony by mahal(m): 6:00pm On Feb 01, 2010
My car is also a Toyota Camry 99 V6, Black Visible smoke, though it's reduced now but it drinks fuel and this N100 per litre thing here in warri is not helping matters. i have no choice, i think i would try it out tomorrow. Thanks a lot.

@ poster,

I presently have the same problem, it has been like this since 2008. I could tell you i have been changing mechanics like boxer shorts since then, however, my present mech did some work on the brain box with his laptop/ accessories and it improved, but hasnt completely stopped smoking especially during serious acceleration. I m still not comfortable with the fuel consumption. My C class even saves fuel better.

Do you advise i change the brain box completely like you did?
How much did you get the brain thing?
I wouldn't mind my AC working like the Antarctica too.

PoliticsRe: Need For Isoko State by mahal(m): 12:48pm On Jan 17, 2010
*jona:
Need For Isoko State

But indications reveal that some ethnic nationalities are seriously clamouring for their own states in order to avoid the so-called gross marginalization and oppression among notable ethnic groups in Nigeria. Time without number, the Isoko nation has suffered political setbacks from both the state government and the Federal Government. Isoko territory is one of the oil producing communities, whose population is over 1.8 million but with just two local government areas. Bayelsa State was created with just three LGAs in 1996. A substantial percentage of crude oil and gas production is from Isoko land.

Come to think of it, Isoko was the second region to discover oil in 1959 after Oloibiri in 1956. Again, Isoko has over 130 oil wells yet there are no infrastructural developments. It is appalling that Isoko land currently has no motorable roads, no bridges, electricity and infrastructure.
Many Nigerians still believed that Isoko is not different from Edo and Urhobo; but though they have the same similarities of culture and religion, Isoko is one of the notable and largest communities in Delta State. Isoko people are mainly engaged in commercial and subsistence farming and fishing. Apart from oil and gas, crops like palm kernel, cassava, plantain, yam, rubber, maize and oil palm oil are found in Isoko land.

Most communities in Delta State like Urhobo, Delta Igbo and Isoko are large enough to have their own states without any political hesitation. In some of the sensitive political appointments especially in the oil sector, Isoko people are excluded. Isoko has some well-known sons and daughters in Nigeria and the Diaspora like: Idodo-Umeh, Blessing Okpowo, Major Akpebe, Francis Ofor, Jeph Imirile, Eyiyere, Steve Alakpodia, Vote Okpobrisi, Imoni Amarere, Uzezi Alebe and Ben Essien, to mention a few.

Delta State is too big for one governor to control; both the previous and present leaders of Delta State have not provided quality leadership in Isoko land over the years. Isoko has some of the best brains in Nigeria, in terms of education and other respected professions. Some Isoko towns, villages and clans are: Ivrogbo, Irri, Oleh, Uzere, Idheze, Ozoro, Emede, Okpe, Emevor, Owho, Olomoro, Ikpide and Igbide. The Isoko have not benefited from the NNPC, DESOPADEC, NDDC, the Amnesty and the Niger Delta Ministry.

Can a people with robust level-headed personalities who excel in different human endeavours suffer such setbacks in the 21st century? There is need for the State Assembly members, senators, leaders and elders to pursue the Isoko state creation project.

PoliticsRe: The Case Of Asari Dokubo ( Niger Delta) And Senator Ayo Arise by mahal(m): 12:32pm On Jan 17, 2010
becomrich;:
The case of Asari Dokubo and Senator Ayo Arise

Asari heart is what you should look at, he want the best for his people, his method you may dislike. but nigeria govt is not a listen govt. They use people. people dont get justice in nigeria. The court dont work. there is  no law, everyman makes is rule.

why Asari dream of the niger delta republic is impposible is that look at river state from the map. It is control by ikwerri people. Who would never go with the Niger delta but with the igbos. ikwerri people are igbos. Is the name Amachie Ijaw to you. even if they form niger delta, how do you jump over river state and form Niger delta in cross river state.

Even during the biafra war, the cross river people were fighting on the biafra side , remember philip and the ijaw people were on the nigeria side.

Now what Asari and ijaws does not know is that Jonathan can be remove as vice president, the north want that to happen, and the igbos want jonathan to be remove, you hear the PDP chairman saying he is not fit to be president.  because igbos do not want to wait till 2049 before an igboman becomes president. gbos may wait till 2049 to become president if Jonathan becomes president.

The only reason Jonathan have not beeen remove to this point is that the north and igbos needs 2/3 vote to remove him. The north and igbos have only 63 senators that can do it, not enough and the yorubas hold the key to that 1/3 vote which they have refused to use against him. So Asari should for God sake please stay out of the picture for now, till they resolve this things.

Again I say, the yorubas, edo ,delta and bayelsa state should join the republic of benin.
hehehehehehe grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
