maga1:
Useless folks tryin 2 make it look like Buhari didnt do anything. I want y'all to know dat corruption is the greatest hindrance to development. It takes time to fight this big monster but Buhari was able to tame this monster.
1. He reduced the rate at which people loot the country's money to the barest minimum to the extent that when u loot & fly abroad, the boys are ever ready to go package u back home 2 face your crimes.
2. It was during buharis regime that people started learning how to make queues at public places that requires it and also people were made to clean their environment regularly (discipline).
3. Why the common naijan felt his regime soo much was that there was a functioning price regulatory body that made sure the prices of  goods are not increased uneccesarily. That way, the price of goods was stable.
4. There was absolute security of lives & property. These are to mention but few and they are the key ingredient for a developing/~ed economy. By then naija was getting set to explore its full potentials not until that devil (ibb) came into the picture.
1 - how?

2 - queue up? even a 2 year old in the western world knows he/she has to do this without being told.

3 - really. example?

4. u sure?

PoliticsRe: What Were Gen. Buhari's 2.5 Years' Achievements? by MaJBlige(f): 5:17pm On Feb 05, 2011
GEJ had been in power for 1.6 years and he hasnt made any difference!

I laugh!

Too many bullies on Nairaland- are they frustrated that they pour their anger on anyone and everyone?

Simple- No, you are wrong- he ruled for 1.6 years.

Whats the reason for all these tirade against someone trying to seek answers?

Na wa for frustrated people o.

Go out there into the core Naija villages without sentiments, be objective and do your research and you will be surprised at the political awareness of the villagers - dont rely on what you read online or on NairaLand. Do this if you want to know the truth.

You wonder why they cant answer?

Because there were or was none.

Apart from draconian laws, surpressing freedom of the press, death penalties, religious bigotry - no wonder he was removed while his VP was far away in Mecca.

WAI - which bragged about how Nigerians are indisciplined.

The government received an applause because it threw away the Shagari politicians, and for two years, the government was busy prosecuting the governors and ministers while allowing IBB/Abacha to plan against them and over threw them before they can open their eyes.

^^^  grin you just read my mind.

Only in Nigeria will a campaign message appeal to crass emotions rather than concrete plans and political will and antecedents of the candidates.

I can bet you at least 90% of voters who actually want to vote GEJ have not met the guy, do not know him and have no clue what how he plans to achieve his Electoral mandate, they just like his charming baby smiles and innocent looks and sheepish grin when he tells you I shall do away with corruption and poverty.
I guess 150% of those who voted Obama met him and know him face to face. I guess those who voted Cameron in the UK also were his bosom friends who knew him and wined and dined with him hence they got his votes.

PoliticsRe: Interview: Pastor Tunde Bakare Speaks About Why He Accepted Buhari's Nomination by MaJBlige(f): 2:54pm On Feb 05, 2011
I remember that in 1999 he prophesied that former President Olusegun Obasanjo would not win or assume the presidency. Instead, he predicted that someone from Adamawa State had been decreed by “Heaven” to be president. This obviously hyped up former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition to frantic levels. Obasanjo not only became president, he even ran for two terms and tried a third as if to rub salt into Pastor Bakare’s wounded pride.

Then GEJ must be over experienced then-

Potifar ko - Pharaoh ni.

This is politics sir, not religion. Face the facts, wake up and smell the coffee.

God spoke to me to run with Buhari. Na true.

I can hear God saying to him "Tunde, Tunde, Tunde- Arise and join Buhari and run as the Vice President of Nigeria. Even though you had always called non christians unbelivers, it doesnt matter, you can still work with him"
PoliticsMr. Tunde Bakare - What Experience Do U Have To Face D Job Of The Vp If Elected? by MaJBlige(op): 2:33pm On Feb 05, 2011
Q:What experience are you going to bring to the job, if elected, as people say you have no political experience?

ANS:I do not doubt that they are entitled to their opinion. But if you are a student of the Bible and you read your scriptures and the word of God, Joseph was a prisoner and not even a pastor. He came out of prison and his only experience was when he was in his father’s house at the age of 17 and then he was sent into slavery. His only experience at resource management was human resource, material resource that he gathered in the house of Potifer. From there, he was lied against; he was sent to prison, and he was never a lawyer or a pastor and he rose out of prison to become a world class ruler. People should know that in the process of doing other things, we have been learning how to deal with human situations and national project is just an extension of that.

This is more than enough for the Nigerian debacle?

PoliticsRe: Bakare Challenges Pdp For A Live Debate by MaJBlige(f): 1:38pm On Feb 05, 2011
if you like your Mr. Bakare very well. Remind him this is Nigeria and Nigeria politics.

Ask him, how he, as a pastor want to fit in within the murky waters of Naija politics and governance. Ask him properly.

Maybe people should begin to see blood and predict doom once he steps into government. God forbid.
PoliticsRe: Bakare Challenges Pdp For A Live Debate by MaJBlige(f): 1:33pm On Feb 05, 2011
abeg - take am easy. We cant all sleep and face the same direction. The beauty of democracy and freedom of speech and association is that you have the right to associate and speak in support of anyone. You dont have to agree with the multitude.

If you look at the majority on NairaLand, they are anti GEJ, and if you are pro GEJ, they tell you its because you get contracts from government (just as you yourself had said about my person). Come on, how do brains like that work?

Pro GEJ supporters are free to support and work for GEJ's success, just as you are free, without being called names and being seen as government apologists.
PoliticsRe: Bakare Challenges Pdp For A Live Debate by MaJBlige(f): 1:25pm On Feb 05, 2011

Why do these people think that debates and heavy grammar and all that is what it takes to be a good leader?

Debate this debate that - and when they come there, all they will be talking na heavy grammar wey not even the common man will understand.
