that means Nigeria should be like America, where common calling the President priiiiick will land them in the police net. No wonder Americans knows what names to use on their President.

Between calling someone a priiick and asking Allah to make him useless (LOL) which one is worse?

and- just like in the Obama case- Obama didnt institute the punishment- it was probably a law in place. Why wasnt the whole of America calling for Obama's head?

The police in this case was also probably just doing their job. What is the big deal?

Was it not just someone drawing the image of Mohammed that sent the entire muslim world fighting and quarrelling sometimes ago? Killing and maiming people. So, if he is sent to jail for cursing someone in authority, good for him.

Food / Re: 7 Dollar Meal In Naija by MaJBlige(f): 1:43pm On Feb 03, 2011
One full breakfast meal at McDonalds in the UK is almost £5.00 - how much is that in Naira and dollars?

Why are people talking biggie about $7?
Food / Re: 7 Dollar Meal In Naija by MaJBlige(f): 9:28am On Feb 03, 2011
why do most people assume that so many people in Nigeria cannot afford a mere $7?

That is over hyped.

Even people in the villages- the woman who fried akara, the woman who sells firewood, etc, may not afford to eat $7 at a single meal, but ask her how much he/she makes on her akara frying business, you will be surprised. Ask her how much she spends on her kids per month from her business, you will be shocked.

How much do they charge their mobile phones per day? Common.
Food / Re: 7 Dollar Meal In Naija by MaJBlige(f): 11:27pm On Feb 02, 2011
In as much as his story is not absolutely correct. $10 dollar mean - 1400 Naira is high end. You can feed well with $4-$5 dollar if you know where to go.

Chicken republic serves chicken and u dont need to eat chicken at all times.

Poster.

People like you bring so much mis information to Nigerians.

Can you swear that is a full portion of the meal or left over after you probably have eaten the chips or the rice portion of it.

Come on. Be objective, grow up and say the right things all the time. Dont be a child.

http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/jonathan-orders-evacuation-of-200-nigerians-trapped-in-egypt/85602/

President Goodluck Jonathan has directed the immediate evacuation of over 200 Nigerians living in Egypt to avoid  anything untoward  happening to them in the wake of the public protests in the Arab nation.

Jonathan who is currently attending the 16th ordinary session of the African Union (AU) Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, gave the directive for the evacuation to the Minister of  Foreign Affairs, Odein Ajumogobia (SAN) and the National Security Adviser, (NSA) , General Owoye Azazi .

The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ima Niboro in a statement issued in Addis Ababa said the President gave the directive for the evacuation on Sunday night.

Over 200 Nigerians among them students, businessmen, tourists and government officials and those on medical trips are said to be stranded at Cairo International Airport following the massive protests calling for the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak.

The Nigerians are said to have been caught up to the extent that they can neither go back to their bases in Egypt nor fly out of the country as all services have been suspended. Telephone and internet services have also been blocked so they cannot call out nor make contact with their loved ones.

The situation is worsened by constant cancellation of flights by Egypt Air, the major flier of that route to most African cities and countries. This is in sad contrast to its continued flights to European and Arabian countries.
