Four Americans and a Kenyan have been killed after a helicopter that they were travelling in, crashed in Northern Kenya, police said Monday.

According to Reuters, the helicopter crashed at Central Island, a volcanic island on Lake Turkana, Kenya’s national police said in a statement.

“Available information indicates that two helicopters had landed earlier at Labolo tented camp on the national park’s island, however only one managed to clear the area safely,’’ the statement added.

The wreckage of the helicopter was recovered in the early hours of Monday.

The cause of the accident remains unknown.

The ongoing copyright claim between Danny Young and Tiwa Savage is not ending anytime soon. Before the new lawsuit, the Mavin Records first lady was called out by Danny Young for intellectual property theft.

The song that gave rise to the copyright claim was ‘One’ by Tiwa Savage which the plaintiff accused the former of lifting off his lyrics and melody without appropriate permission.

After a while, Danny Young was able to get YouTube to take down Tiwa’s music video for some few week before it was restored.
In a new development, the ‘Oju Ti Won’ crooner has filed a lawsuit of N200 million in damages on the Tiwa Savage. The lawsuit was filed at a Federal High Court in Lagos. The lawsuit also includes Mavin Records as the defendant.

APC suspends Amosun, Okorocha

APC suspends Amosun, Okorocha, The All Progressives Congress has suspended the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun; and his Imo counterpart, Rochas Okorocha.

The two men were suspended for alleged anti-party activities at the National Working Committee meeting held on Friday in Abuja.

The meeting is still in session as of the time of filing this report.

Also suspended are the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Uguru; and the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Osita Okechukwu.

President Muhammadu Buhari says the new four-year mandate given to his administration by Nigerians will be tough as he pursues his campaign promises of securing the country, transforming the economy and the fight against corruption.

The President stated this at a special meeting with his cabinet ministers, who were in the State House, Abuja, on Friday to congratulate him on his electoral victory.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had, on Wednesday, declared President Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, winner of the 2019 presidential election held on February 23.

President Muhammadu Buhari believes the 2019 general elections have been free and fair, hours after he was declared winner of the presidential election on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

In an election that had a total of 73 candidates, Buhari won 15,191,847 of the total votes cast while his closest opponent, Atiku Abubakar, gained 11,262,978 votes, an astonishing victory margin of 3,928,869 votes.

While receiving his certificate of return in Abuja on Wednesday, Buhari said the elections have been adjudged to be free and fair by local and foreign observers.

He said, "From the comments of observers, both local and foreign, it is obvious that the elections were both free and fair.

"Now that the elections are over and the winner declared, we must all see it as a victory for Nigeria, our dear country.

Jussie Smollett Arrested for Staging Attack, Jussie Smollett is now “officially classified” as a suspect in a criminal investigation for allegedly filing a false police report.

According to a tweet from Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, this is a Class 4 felony and detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County grand jury.

If the 36-year-old “Empire” actor is charged, he could face one to three years in prison.

Smollett filed a report with the Chicago Police Department on Jan. 29 claiming that he was assaulted by two masked men. They hurled racist and homophobic slurs, poured an unknown chemical substance on him, and put a noose around his neck.


Two brothers, Olabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairo, were questioned by police, claiming Smollett staged the “attack” and paid them $3,500. The men are cooperating with law enforcement and records show they purchased the rope found around Smollett’s neck at a hardware store in Chicago.

Kanye West is involved in yet another sampling lawsuit, TMZ reports. This time, its over the child’s voice sampled on “Ultralight Beam,” his 2016 song from The Life of Pablo. According to documents obtained by TMZ, West sought sample clearance from the child’s biological mother, rather than her adoptive parents. They also say he was supposed to follow up with a written license and payment, but never did, and are suing for a portion of the profits.
