The clarification being sought here is; did the person fail the last part of the assessment or being dropped as the mail says because they do not have "positions available in your preferred skill pool/area of work, location or start date."

Available positions should matter. No point inviting 200 people for 5 positions if you can get 5 people by inviting the top 30 from your preliminary assessment. I think if you didn't get that automatic regret mail after the test you probably reached some preset cutoff. If course not everyone who got that would proceed so you can say you don't have to 'fail' to get a regret mail now. And I think that mail was designed to cover all possible reasons they won't be continuing with your application, so don't pick on the positions ish. There would surely be some folks who would be taken for that same position you applied for and for this mail for.

Hehehe. And the drama just continues. Anyways maybe there is no harm. Perhaps we could continue to entertain ourselves in the absence of any activity from shell.

Do you need your email to check your status? I reckon what you need to do is go to the shell site and navigate through careers to grad and experienced bla bla to where you have to enter your email and password. Except what you want is different.

Hyper people dey this thread. FBI and CIA guys. Last year needed only 20+ pages, 2013 took 45 pages. We dey preamble and we don enter 43 pages. the time frame you underlined here is the one week you were given to complete the test, not the approximate 45 minutes.

I know a guy that finished all, with 2 minutes left. It was sure that he was going to get everything, because he solved all, accurately. I was there when he was doing it. However, he got his regret mail on monday. Can you imagine?!... So the process is beyond the test. I think if you do well on the test, it will draw their attention to your application. That is quite natural. However, if your Cover letter, CV and attached documents are not very good, you still might not get called up.

So brothers, lets keep faith, as we await our own outcome.

Did this guy get the regret mail after getting the 'application under consideration' mail? Abi na the instant regret?

No be today we begin hear all these kain things. Na so boys for secondary school go finish exam come out begin make noise no know say dem been dey answer 'opposite in meaning' when the questions said 'nearest in meaning'. In the end Phillips Consulting go begin say 50% of Nigerian graduates couldn't pass Basic Science questions. Some men dey claim say that sense organ question was even wrong, cos there was no 'brain' in the options. Guy relax. I no sabi anything about NNPC, some logic confuse me, some maths knack my skull, some verbal self I CANNOT SAY...and I aint exactly shoeless. Some guys never write apt test in 8 years...many guys who came have been working in other places. My doctor friends just 'abandoned' all those quantitative reasoning questions self...wetin consign docta with histogram? Sha, make Jah help us. Good luck my brother.

BHE is Baker Hughes Experience( the name for their recruitment day), I know invites would roll out before next week friday; I'll be glad if anyone that gets it can supply just the date. Thank you

Someone got a mail saying his application is still under consideration and he would be advised on the next step in November. Have you got this email?

my status is still 'under review' so maybe I am out. But I think if you checked with your phone you'd probably get 'completed', with a pc though it is different.

Too far I'd say given precedents but what does it matter. Our prayer na to follow for the BHE which at farthest is in Dec.

I am very certain that information is incorrect. BH/Hirevue wouldn't send success mails while the interview was still ongoing. Interviews ended yesterday Thursday, 16th October. I don't see how someone would be contacted on Monday 13th for an interview that ended on 16th except he did extremely exceptionally well or the interview wasn't really an interview after all.

I agree with you. There must be some max number they can take for the final stage, hence they have to assess everyone first...unless they dont have sense like Shell. Else, maybe the guy didnt interview for this same position.

we were advised on that page to apply as early as possible to get a chance at the nov/dec BHE, so it is likely they would be another batch next year.

Next year still far na. Wait till next week I'l tell you the ones I remember, I no one hear say some people get reschedule come get advantage. I am not happy with my performance not to talk of giving anyone a potential advantage now. Relax small.

81 guys only were shortlisted for this stage from the email addresses on the mail sent to us. My guess is they wont be sending any more invites, at least for this nov/dec BHE set.
