Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Alex is one of the finalists of this year’s show tagged ‘Double Wahala Edition’.

She was the first housemate to qualify for finals after she emerged winner of the last Head of House challenge.

Alex had told Nigerians on Sunday that if she wins the N45 million grand prize, she would use it to treat her dad, finish school and take care of her siblings.

She is believed to be the ‘dance queen’ of the house. She kept Nigerians glued to their screen every Saturday during the house party.

A former pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God has resigned from the popular church and has granted interviews to celebrate his “freedom” and “expose” the things he says goes on in the church.

The Pastor, identified simply as pastor Wellington, went on air to accuse the church of being a franchise that makes money from members by putting fear in them and laying curses on them. He added that pastors are aware of this but are afraid to leave because the church has tied their properties to their membership and if they leave, they will lose everything.



Pastor Wellington called the prestigious RCCG a “Tower of Babel” and said, “it will take only God to pull down that Tower of Babel.”

When he was informed that his video announcing his resignation had gone viral, Pastor Wellington said: .

“It is the Lord’s doing and it’s wonderful in our sight. Let it continue, let everybody hear it. I won’t hide my own identity. Other pastors in the Redeemed can continue to hide their own identity. I am free. That is the demonstration of my freedom.”

“So let the whole world hear what is happening within the RCCG. And I believe my testimony will be a good one, I mean, a help to all others that are in the system.

He went ahead to claim that the leader of the church was placing pastors under curses.

He said:

“I thank God that the word that I made mention of that they were putting us under curse has been confirmed through the video that you have been playing since Monday. And that even if one paid his tithe, he’s still under curse.”

Pastor Wellington also spoke about the different ways the church gets its income from members by collecting unending offerings and donations under different names.

He claimed that the African mission offering, which must be donated every first Sunday of each month, “goes directly to the pocket of pastor Foluke Adeboye, the wife of Adeboye.”

He also claimed that RCCG is a franchise system of operation, where each parish belongs to each pastor and the pastors of each branch are expected to pay 70-75 per cent of their income to the headquarters of the church while they take the remaining for themselves. In order word, the church is loaning their brand to them in return for members’ money

“You are to run with the parish. Just give them their own portion. They’re borrowing you the logo and they’re borrowing you their members,” he claimed.

He added:

“That already has made many pastors to go into stealing because the 30 and 20 per cent that remains is not enough for them. So they have to lie, they have to cheat. They will do different kinds of things.”

He also alleged that pastors of RCCG have bought lands in Redemption camp using money made from their church. But if they dare leave the Redeemed Christian Church of God, they will lose all their properties in Redemption camp. He added that as a result of this, many pastors are aware of what goes on in the church but their hands are tied and they cannot come out for fear of losing all they have.

He said:

“So what I did by leaving Redeemed Christian Church of God, many pastors in the Redeemed will not be able to do it. Many presently are hearing what you are saying but they cannot come out, because if they dare come out, they will lose everything that they’ve invested in the same system for many many years.

“So Redeemed is a Tower of Babel.”

Evicted Big Brother Naija housemates, Anto, Khloe and Lolu have arrived the country and indeed, they received quite an overwhelming welcome from their fans.

The “Nigerian prince” scams may be notorious, but they’re actually looked down upon by real Nigerian scammers: In fact, these days, Nigerian prince emails are usually sent by the lowest grade of Yahoo boys and they rarely find people who fall for it.

In December 2017, Police in Slidell, Louisiana, said they finally caught up with one of the people behind some of those emails. He’s not exactly Nigerian royalty, either, police wrote in a Facebook post.

Michael Neu, 67, of Slidell, Louisiana, was arraigned on 269 counts of wire fraud and money laundering following an 18-month investigation, police wrote. They disclosed that Neu took part in hundreds of financial transactions, involving phone and online scams to con money from people across the United States.

In these scams, the supposed Nigerian prince (or other official) asks for the person’s personal banking information in order to speed the transfer of the purported inheritance or temporarily hold the allegedly pilfered funds. The information can then be used to withdraw funds from the victim’s accounts.

While Neu might lack a royal title, at least some of the money obtained in his scams did go to co-conspirators in Nigeria, police wrote. Investigators are continuing to untangle Neu’s web of scams, but many other leads also connect to people outside the U.S., the post read.

Nigerian/American singer, Speed Darlington has taken to the streets of New York to protest against Big Brother Naija for playing his song ‘Bangdadadang’ during the saturday night party without paying him.

According to him, he should be paid for since he makes no money as an independent artist



He shared the protest video, and said;

“I hear bbnaija is using bangdadadang and they gave me no money… they’re using my music for free without penny in my pocket”

“All of you at my palace tonight. I want to know if it’s true that someone is milking independent artist like me? Knowing very well I make no money from music. Anytime you play my music on radio or TV I got to get paid.”

Nina has emerged as the new head of house for week 12 after her fellow big brother niaja housemates voted her to the position.

It was not with controversy however, as there was an idea of letting Cee-C be the Head of House since she has not won the title since the show started.

However Alex and Tobi did not buy the idea and made sure that she did not get the position. Alex on her part revealed that she didn’t support the idea of Cee-C becoming the HoH, Alex said she doesn’t want Cee -C to be Head of House because she doesn’t want them to fight.

Akpororo is a dad again.

The comedian has taken to his Instagram to post a heartwarming video of him and family celebrating the news of his wife,Josephine Ijeoma Onuabughuchi‘s successful delivery in the United States.

“I done born o,” said the excited comedian in his post. “Help me thank God oo.”

The couple tied the knot in 2015.

Speaking about their marriage in a recent interview with City People, Akpororo noted that Josephine’s intelligence was what attracted her to him. “Josephine is a beautiful and very intelligent lady. Her intelligence attracted me first. I also saw the wife material in her, she is much focused and she inspires me a lot,” he said.

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter in 2016, and now have their first set of twins.
