Three policemen have been detained at the Edo State police headquarters over two stolen fully loaded AK 7 rifles.

Also, a sales girl, security personnel and manager of the guest house where the guns were stolen have been quizzed and granted bail.

Names of the policemen were given as Sergeant Uzor Emmanuel, Corporal Micheal Akharamen and Constable Jimoh Aliu.

The guns were officially assigned to them for duty patrol ad personnel of the state-own security outfit codenamed “Operation Wabaizigan.” but could not return to base to return the guns to the armoury.

It was gathered that the two junior officers gave their guns to Sergeant Emmanuel who checked into a guest house at Uwasota area, Egor local government area.

Sources said Sergeant Emmanuel was with a female friend inside the hotel when at about 2am he raised an alarm that two of the three rifles he took into his room had been stolen while he was inside the toilet.

Owner of the guest house, Mr. Obodo Otuya, who called for full investigation into the incident told newsmen that claims by SGT Emmanuel were questionable.

He stated that reports from his staff showed that Sgt Emmanuel checked in with one AK-47 rifle and a lady.

Edo Police spokesman, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the incident adding that investigation is still ongoing.

Recall Businessman, Wale Jana who attracted Timi Dakolo and his wife, Busola over rape allegations levelled against COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo.

He narrated in his recent post how he used to carry taxis everywhere he goes without having a car, yet he keep on serving God and sowing seeds but today he has three different Mercedes benz.

This post is to encourage someone who is believing God for a car.
The Word works! One of the problems with Christians these days is that they no longer try to know God for themselves. Try this; read your bible everyday and when you see a scripture that appeals to you BELIEVE IT! Do you know what's going to happen? In few years you will explode! The moment you get the Word in your spirit, you are like a time bomb, its only a matter of time before you explode, God never disappoints! It may tarry but it will come to pass.

Every morning and night I would stand at my empty car park and quote scriptures "God has met all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, not my salary, not my effort but His riches!" God had told me that the first of everything He gives me is a seed and so when the first car came I had to sow it as a seed and I walked home! That was the longest walk in my life and things got complicated after that.
Learn this; when you sow a seed and God doesn't show up immediately, it doesn't mean there is something wrong, God doesn't work with your timetable[b]! I didn't have a car for 3 years after that, I walked and carried taxi everywhere![/b]

Looking back today, all my cars are Mercedes Benz and I give out a Mercedes every year!
Ladies and gentlemen the Word works! If you will just hold on tight, God will show up! It is certain! Some of you may see this as a show off but thats your business but for those who get it, this is me acknowledging God's faithfulness and giving Him the glory.

Death toll in Monday’s fuel tanker explosion in Benue State have risen to 60 persons.

The tanker conveying PMS from Port Harcourt to Makurdi hit a pothole and swerved off the road at Ahumbe village, Gwer East Local Government Area.

The tanker exploded while the inhabitants of the area scooped petrol from the scene of the accident..

Those who sustained injuries from the explosion are receiving treatment in three hospitals in the state .

Some are at St Vincent Hospital Aliade, General Hospital Aliade – all in Gwer East Local Government Area – and the Federal Medical Centre, Apir, Makurdi.

A witness, Torna Upurigh, told The Nation that a 18 seated bus conveying passengers from Oju town to Makurdi ran into the fire and all the passengers died.

Some houses near the accident spot were also burnt with some residents sustaining injuries.

The Fire Service, which later intervened to put out the inferno, had one of its men seriously burnt.

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the police were on the ground to clear the heavy traffic jam in the area.

Information Officer of Gwer East Local Government said 50 bodies have been deposited at the mortuary and 20 people, who sustained various degree of injuries, are receiving treatment in hospitals.

Ahumbe village is located on Makurdi – Enugu road about one hour drive from Makurdi , the Benue State capital.

Police spokesperson Kate Anene, a deputy superintendent of police, warned members of the public to stop scooping fuel from fallen tankers on highways.

CDQ in a post addressed to the Inspector General of Police, shared his encounter with SARS officers at Osapa London in Lekki, Lagos who threatened to shoot everyone in his convoy including him.

According to the rapper, the SARS officers who threatened to shoot him and his crew, also said nothing will happen after that. He wrote;
