I'm not a Christian, so I'm not familiar with Biblical scriptures, I based my inference on the fact that majority of Christians consume alcohol, including religious leaders, even as they don't frown at it. However, you can provide scriptures that forbids alcohol consumption to dispute my perception.

Is that not what was used in part to justify the Christian genocide narrative?
