Aunty if you watch Argentina matches once again, judge Messi on the same standards as the rest, and then put into consideration that his duty for Argentina first was to be the creative midfielder you will see that he played very well.

Even from midfield he had more shuts on goal than everyone else and perhaps did not score because Messi having the ball seemed to activate goal keepers of opposing teams.

It is possible that the Goal Sulley Muntari scored against Uruguay, if Messi shut the same ball at the same speed with the same trajectory under the same condition the goal keeper may have saved it because he will simply be alert for the simple fact that Messi has the ball.
