Women generally find dominant men attractive. The part of a woman's brain that detects aggressive and dominant men is linked to the part that creates attraction towards men. This has evolutionary underpinnings. So if a woman finds a guy to look dominant and aggressive, which is a stereotypical trait of the typical rapist, she'd also find him sexually attractive. If a woman finds a man attractive, she'd imagine having sex with him. When a woman imagines having sex with a dominant and aggressive man, she always plays the submissive role.

In the stone age, women found dominant men attractive because such men would be able to protect them and their offsprings. Evolution has changed or modified that theory. In the modern age and with better communication and sampling analysis, this can no longer be perceived as the whole truth.

Also, a man being dominant is so far away from the analogy of raping that I don't get the correlation. Are you saying all dominant men rape women? And some women like being raped? Is there any statistics that backs this up?

Some women choose a man for the beauty he will contribute to their offspring, some base it on how financially able he is to provide for her and children. Some base it on how sexually content their prospective partner makes them. Some prefer a dominant male and some prefer to be the alpha in the relationship. The lesson here is that communication has shown that we are a step ahead of animals who are still instinctive in nature when it comes to choosing mates.
