Nteogwuija: Here's the attached specification. With this I think your max current should be around 16A. The 60A you see in the charge current (output) not the input current. |

sky404: Pls House, is there anyone here who can correctly show us how percentage interest in money market fund is calculated annually??
Let's say I invested 15million Naira in Stanbic IBTC mmf rate of 22.30% for one year, with the condition of re-investing the accrued interest for just one year,
pls how much should I expect in total after one year, & after all charges have been deducted by the fund manager??
Also, Aside the witholding tax, what are the likely charges the fund manager will be deducting?? One thing you should note is that the mmf interest rate is not consistent throughout the year. It may be 22% today and 20% tomorrow. |

GloryJoyeux: My solar yield this January.
The heat this time of the year caused a significant drop in solar yield. Always remember to factor in the temperature coefficient when purchasing your solar panels so as to have a realistic yield estimate when you factor in the different temperatures we experience throughout the year.
10.2kw sms dual mppt 10.28kw panels (12x440w Jinko and 10x500w cworth) 18kwh cworth lifepo4 batteries ( 2x100ah and 1x150ah) Solar Assistant on Raspberry pi5 Victron smart shunt 300a Junktek shunt/battery monitor 100a
Achieved 100 percent off-grid status in January.
Take not, load does not factor in the 100wh consumed by the inverter itself (72kwh in 30days)
Peak continuous solar yield this month was 6,500kw i.e 63percent max yield
Peak cumulative load this month was 5.2kw
Max yield - 34.1kwh on Jan 20th Lowest yield - 12.5kwh on Jan 19th
Max load - 24.3kwh on Jan 27th Lowest load - 9.8kwh on Jan 19th
Max solar yield in 7days - 205kwh between Jan 17th - 23rd

Average daily energy consumption 20kwh
Something a lot of folks miss when trying to go the renewable energy route is using energy efficient appliances. Converting all appliances to energy efficient ones is as important as getting panels and installing batteries. As you can see, most of my appliances are energy efficient.
Energy management is also an important factor, I make use of smart switches which are automated to turn appliances on and off for different set durations.
My biggest energy consuming appliances for the month of January:
1. Lg 1.5hp inverter air conditioner 184kwh 2. Lg 1hp inverter air conditioner 84kwh 3. Starlink and own router 59kwh 4. Double door fridge 52.3kwh 5. Chest deep freezer 34.63kwh 6. Heat-pump clothes dryer 27kwh
*Sorry for any typo Wow, great update. What's your review about these cworth panels?. I wanted to get one but was skeptical since they're relatively new in the market. |

These Sako issues I have read here was why I was hell bent on buying a TBB inverter again I wanted to upgrade my inverter to 3kw.
Even though I saw cheaper options which was half the price of the one I finally got.
I used their 1.2kva for 2 years without any problems. I resold it and the buyer is still using it until now.
I used the 1.2kva to power my home appliances including my refrigerator.
Any product that can give 5 years of warranty is no joke.
The cworth battery I got I just hope it won't disappoint since it's still a relatively new brand in the market. |

adewasco2k: I needd suggestion/advice
i have a setup at a business place
1. 6.2kva wellion hybrid inverter 2. 10kwh lithium battery 3. 570watt jinko panels - 8pcs
first issue i find out the panels mostly generates around 2,500w at sunny day without any shade (thats not even my main issue though)
main issue when the inverter is loaded with about 5kw it most will trip off the breaker or comes up with error 07 or when there is power and loads are on and they take light it just goes straight to error 07.
i am thinking of replacing the inverter with a 10kva but i want to be sure that will solve the issue and if i am to go with 10kva which other good brand will be okay? mostly 2 hisense black mirror AC (1.5 and 2hp are on it)
Note: i dont have problem with the battery because there is mostly power supply for now even though i am thinking of adding an extra 10kwh lithium regardless Get a TBB inverter and have a rest of mind |

Decentlyproud: Wow! I didn't know kinergier has been discontinued o.
Around late 2023 riio sun hybrid was 750k.
I am concerned about the idle power I.e when there is no load on the inverter,on paper tbb inverters have extremely low idle load of <20watts. So is this idle load actually realistic? for the fact it's a transformer and not just a marketing gimmick. Chai 2023, before renewed hope. The idle load is what it is. It's around 18w. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ManAdii: 7:19am On Jan 10, 2025 |
Decentlyproud: I am just eyeing this tbb from afar....i believe one day i would get one. Between kinergier and riio sun2 which is better or versatile? The Kinergier Pro which is not a hybrid has been discontinued. You can get the Riio Sun II which is either hybrid or non hybrid. The Riio Sun II 3kw hybrid currently sells for around 900k at the moment. That is the one I currently use. |

mangolpupa: The product awareness seems poor to me (have only distantly heard of them once/twice). Is the price point like that of SRNE? Yeah. Maybe because of how expensive they are. I used their 1.2kva for over 2 years before upgrading recently to the 3kw. They offer 5 years of warranty for their inverters. I don't know the price of SRNE so I can not compare. |

Jefferyzz: Is there a reason y U need this particular brand, y not go for a famous brand n buy from a known source. Once U make d mistake of buying fake panels, to get rid of dem is always difficult and painful. No reason boss. I just wanted to patronize a Nigerian brand to grow our economy. But if I don't see any positive review from existing users I will opt for jinko. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ManAdii: 7:33pm On Jan 08, 2025 |
isangjohnson: The performance of every panels has never been the same and it will never be. Many factors are involved including changing of stickers/fake labels. Go for recommended products and purchase them from a reputable dealer. I can't really say there is much different between powmr lifepo4 battery and other brands, though you have not mentioned the other reputable brands. Go for anyone you feel will give you a good customer support and honor its warranty promise. Do you have any reviews of Auxano solar panels? |
