Good day, delay in analyzing the semen will affect the outcome. It will not affect the count but certainly the motility will be affected.

Semen should be analyzed within 30 minutes to one hour of collection.

Collecting the semen by 9am and analyzing it by 12noon shows that the lab and the staff there don't know what they are doing... RUN AWAY FROM THEM, OR YOU KEEP WASTING YOUR MONEY.

Of all the simpler things to do he subjected you to seminal fluid analysis,....... which Scientist does that for God's sake. How was it collected, where was it collected and after how long was it analysed. This is important because the place and mode of collection as well as time of analysis will impact the result greatly. You can introduce pus cells and bacteria yourself if you collect it wrongly, the motility can be affected if it was analysed late. Was there a culture and sensitivity test as well?

Who prescribed the antibiotics for you? The same lab man

My advise is for you to go and see a doctor in a good hospital and stop wasting your money with one lab man working with mobile in their lab and who also studied microbacteria.

good day sir, I know this is a old post but I have a question for you on this, please can time delay from semen sample collection and time that the semen WaS analyze affect sperm count outcome of a semen analysis, because my husband went for a semen analysis at a lab around 9am but the lab attendant there later told us that her boss who work at govt house later came to collect the sample around 12pm of same date for the semen analysis to the govt hospital which he work

It's a waste of money.
Next time go to a standard lab that can run the test themselves. The test is supposed to be done within 1hr of sample collection. >3hrs means the result is inaccurate.

yes he went to the lab for the semen analysis, he did it around 9am on Monday but the lab attendant later explained to us that she only collect samples but the real owner of the lab works at a general hospital so he came around 12 of same day to collect the sample to the lab at the govt hospital he work, am surprise because the lab result the sperm count decrease so much from 26million to 8million

It depends on your pocket. There’s Fertilsan M, Wellman Conception, Proxeed Plus, Fertility blend, Addyzoa which I’ll advice taken with vit E and Zinc tab, there’s also Fairhaven products of Fertilaid, count boost and motility boost. You may use the 3 together or just use Fertilaid since his values aren’t bad. You can also decide to use just zinc tab, vit E, Vit C and BCo. The ones I listed are the commonly used ones but there are others too. The last my dh used was Fertilsan M though it’s the most costly so far and not readily available in most pharmacies. Just try anyone you decide on for at least 3 months before repeating a test

Not a bad result. There’s light staph infection but they didn’t specify the antibiotics that will be effective for it. But you can add garlic and ginger tea to your regimen and continue with men fertility vitamins. The semen analysis is good with good motility and morphology. Fertility blessings

From the test result, it is indicative that ur hubby has staph infection. This explains why he has 40% dead sperm cells. In view of this, he should urgently treat the infection with the drugs that are sensitive to the bacteria infection.

The motility is good and morphology is also good.
