What You Should Know About Bed Bugs

Bedbugs are tiny insects often found in mattresses that become active during the night. They feed on human blood as their only source of nutrition. They bite exposed areas of the skin which cause irritated patches that sometimes bleed and can become infected. It’s difficult to see differences between bedbug bites or bites from other insects. Bedbugs have an oval shape and are reddish-brown in color. They are about the size of an apple seed and they hide in the corners of the bed during the day because they like living 3-6 feet from their feeding area.



There are various signs and symptoms of bedbugs. The first and most evident sign of a bedbug bite is development of itchy red bites on the skin. They usually attack shoulders and arms but these are not the only places they target. They usually bite in a straight-line pattern which differentiates them from other insects that bite randomly. Another sign of bedbug bites is the itchiness, which is more than the itchiness from other insects. The itching can be so severe that the victim scratches so hard that it bleeding and may become infected. Some have reported allergic reactions from bedbug bites. In some cases they also cause a burning sensation which leads to red bumps known as papules or wheals.

Since bedbugs hide during the day it can be difficult to spot them directly. In this case the things to look for are small brown blood stains on pillows and mattresses also called fecal spots. You can also spot the seams and folds of the mattress on which you sleep. The bugs also hide in carpet, rugs, and loose wallpaper. Shed skin can help trace them, bedbugs usually shed their skin 5 times before they fully mature.

Try to avoid scratching if you develop a rash after a bedbug bite. Some think that bedbugs cannot spread if they have a neat and clean environment, this is incorrect. Bedbugs only need a warm and moist environment. Some of the biggest hotels in the world have reported an emergence of bedbugs and have been sued by guests for damages from bugs.



There are several ways you can prevent the spread of bedbugs. Regularly inspect mattresses, carpets, and wallpaper for them, if you find any signs of their presence, spray for them. Try to avoid moisture coming in the bedroom through the walls and ceiling. If you have bedbugs wear full-sleeve clothes when you sleep, you can also wear pajamas that cover the entire leg. Bedbugs cannot burrow under clothing and if they do not have exposed skin they cannot bite. When buying second-hand furniture check them carefully before bringing them inside your house.If the problem becomes severe you can get help from pest control organizations and have your entire home cleaned and debugged. In the case of bedbugs, prevention is better than cure.

• Change in Nipple

Nipple retraction, dimpling, itching, a burning sensation or ulceration are symptoms of breast cancer. A scaly rash on the nipple is symptomatic of Paget’s disease, which could be associated with underlying breast cancer.

• Indentation of Breast

Flattening or indentation of the breast can be a sign of breast cancer. It can be a tumor which can’t be seen or felt

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a result of President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term ambition may have claimed another casualty. The latest according to our source is the Akwa Ibom State Governor and the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governor’s Forum, Chief Godswill Akpabio.
Inside sources within the nation’s seat of power informed our reporter that Nigeria’s first lady and wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan descended ferociously on Akpabio at the Presidential Villa in Abuja recently accusing him of being a cog in the wheel of the process to resolve the crisis in the PDP.
According to the source, a visibly angry Patience Jonathan shouted at the Governor and asked him why he was busy deceiving her husband.
She is said to have told Governor Akpabio point blank that he should stop masquerading himself before her husband as a peacemaker and concentrate on his now revealed Vice Presidential ambition and leave the President alone.
Reports reaching the First Lady, the source continued, have confirmed that Governor Akpabio’s treachery and pursuit of his Vice Presidential ambition is responsible for the failure of the reconciliation process in the party and one of the reasons the G7 Governors have ditched the party.
The report further revealed that the First Lady accused the Governor of being on a mission to destroy the President. She is said to have cited Akpabio’s recent spate of private visits to leading traditional rulers and politicians in the North and other parts of Nigeria.
Speaking further another source from the Presidency maintained that the First Lady is at a loss as to why the Akwa Ibom State Governor has been throwing money wherever he goes at the expense of the Akwa Ibom people who elected him.
The President’s wife is said to have told the Governor that she was aware that Akpabio is working for his own ambition while pretending to be working for the re-election of the President. The source who spoke on strict confidentiality said that a visibly embarrassed Akpabio was dumbfounded and broke down in tears.
Reacting to the development, a top politician from Akwa Ibom State who resides in Abuja expressed worry over the incident and blamed Akpabio for abandoning his mandate of working for Akwa Ibom people for Abuja politics. He said “Governor Akpabio started out well in his first term, I don’t know who advised him to dabble into Abuja politics, for what I know, Abuja politics is consuming no matter how good your intentions are. This should serve as a warning to him to stick his arse in Uyo and continue his uncommon transformation.”
Confirming the incident, a source who is believed to be close to Professor King, one of President Jonathan’s allies, told our reporter that the wife of the President had actually expressed her displeasure at what she described as Governor Akpabio’s deceitful posturing in the crisis rocking the PDP. Though he refused to comment further, he however promised to elaborate on the matter during his visit to attend the official opening ceremony of Professor Richard King’s Campaign Office in Uyo last weekend. Efforts to get across to him during the event proved abortive.
It could be recalled that the press was recently awash with reports that Governor Akpabio’s express pass into the Presidential Villa had been withdrawn on the orders of the President following reports that he was always throwing dollars around whenever he visits the Villa. According to the reports, the alleged action of Akpabio was seen by top Aso Villa players as not only over ambitious but also capable of undermining Presidential Security and Protocol. State Commissioner for Information, Aniekan Umanah could not be reached for comments on the alleged embarrasment of the governor by the President’s wife. His numbers were unavailable as at press time.
However, political watchers are of the opinion that with recent happenings, 2015 may not be as easy as Akpabio thinks.

The victims of a sociopath or psychopath have profound emotional scars that not only affect their quality of life, but if the victims are children the scars can be worse.

Many of us have seen at least one show that depicts the profile of a serial killer or psychopath, they make a profile from the traumatic childhood of the person to their sadistic crimes. According to experts, psychopaths during childhood behave differently than other people.They are at greater risk for criminal tendencies because of their affective imbalances, aggression or abuse, and lack of positive affect. They often show a lack of respect for rules and behave without inhibition, acting in a cruel and sadistic way toward others, including other children and animals.

Many with antisocial behaviors during childhood are the result of insufficient parental care, absent parents, or indifferent mothers, they fail in many aspects of socializing the children. In all cases the children are rebellious toward this lack of attention and are frustrated because they see their abilities are not the same as other children, or that their parents are different.

Its said that these children are raised by indifferent and negligent parents, at the same time, these parents were raised by negligent parents, often its an intergenerational cycle of indifference and negligence, sometimes these kids pay the price of their grandparents and parents.

Brain scanning techniques have demonstrated the brain of psychopaths of all ages show abnormal activities in some areas, they are prone to process social cues more slowly, express less fear toward punishment, and seem to have a tendency for looking to activities that stimulate the reward centers of the brain in a vigorous and constant way.

Both define behavior that is non-social, apathetic, and with a fixation toward not assuming any role in society or not belonging to social groups, they think its about breaking the law and being beyond others.

One main characteristic of a sociopath is a pattern of violence. They tend to act impulsively, isolated from surroundings, they can even discriminate against others.This can happen from a early age, and can have a significant incidence in adulthood. Not all sociopaths are criminals, and not all criminals are sociopaths.

Often there is a dual diagnosis of sociopathic tendencies in a psychopath for irrational behavior and lack of purpose, lack of conscience, and emotional void. These people are looking for strong emotions and show no fear. Punishment is often ineffective because their impulsivity has no limits. They do not fear consequences of their acts. For a psychopath a human relationship doesn’t have any meaning, they are skillful manipulators and exploiters.

A sociopath knows the difference between right and wrong within societal values. They can behave in a sincere way that can fool others that they believe in the same common values, however they often look to manipulate and use others. Psychopaths do not act in a subtle way, they use violence and direct means to intimidate or do what they want, they are not interested in manipulating too much, they prefer to impose, humiliate, or be cruel.

Sociopath and psychopath are similar in characteristics, both are classified as antisocial disorders. The primary difference is that sociopaths lose the notion of social norms, laws, or moral dilemmas. The main characteristic is transgression, lack of guilt, and lack of respect for life and property of others. They apply violence as a reaction and often come from a environment where violence is accepted and is the natural form of dealing with conflicts.

Its not the same case with a psychopath, they use instrumental violence not reactive, this means violence is used to satisfy their objectives and desires, they can intimidate others, steal, perform sexual assault or abuse. They do not strive to break laws, they don’t ignore laws, they feel superior enough to think they are above laws and above morals, which are just obstacles to their desires. A sociopath can identify that he acted wrongly, however for a psychopath its difficult to identify that their actions can harm others. A sociopath finds it difficult to empathize with others, a psychopath cannot develop empathy at all.
