I never gave you choices, I specifically said if your fan is belt drive.so can you plz xplain along that line.
Im trying establish the relationship btw the cooling fan and fuel consumption.Which I know there is non but let us use logic to agree, so plz do the needfull

At the risk of sounding brash (apologies to the OP), I'll just go ahead and say that I understand how comprehension can be a challenge because the answer to your first question and subsequent ones are in my responses (lengthy for that purpose). I DON'T have a DUTY to convince you of anything (there is no "NEEDFUL" ), seems like you have a brain, internet connection and a browser, you even found the videos on how to test oxygen sensors, so, do the world a favour, quit being a know-it-all (you said "..which I know there is non" even though you clearly don't) and do some research on the matter, that way you get to learn firsthand (though they say you can't fill a cup that is already full) and this space gets put to better use helping those who truly need help.

Hello,

does anyone have Peugeot planet 2000 and/or Carprog in PH? Looking to collabo on a peugeot 307 coding job.

Cheers.

I like to follow your theory so I would ask you this question, how about if the cooling fan is belt driven?direct from the main pulley?

The choice of electric or belt-driven fans is a design consideration for the manufacturer, each system with it's merit. Fitting a belt-driven fan means less electrical load on vehicle systems. You will find that, in not too old cars that use belt driven fans, thermostats are still fitted to allow engine warm up faster, means that even though the fan is always on (no intermittent operation), it is not always cooling the engine, it's speed depends on the speed of the engine and it serves other functions such as cooling transmission fluid through the intercooler (if fitted) and cooling of the AC gas in the condenser. Also, keep in mind that the thermostat action described is reversible, meaning that if the always-on fan by some "miracle" cools the engine too much below a certain threshold, the thermostat will shut coolant flow into the engine allowing it to reach temperature again.

Oh, about the fan being always on.. Internal combustion engines are not efficient at low temperatures due to friction and all that.. An always on fan increases the time it takes the engine to reach operating temperature. That is why engines are fitted with thermostats, they help the engine reach operating temperature as soon as possible by blocking the circulation of coolant until the engine reaches that optimum temperature then they open coolant flow and in conjunction with intermittent operation of the radiator fans keep the engine at that optimum temperature. For long commutes, "always on" fans don't impact fuel consumption as such and I dare say, is NOT the cause of the excessive fuel consumption you described.

Sorry I couldn't read through everything because of the bickering about who knows best about detecting vacuum leaks and all that.. Means I don't know specifics of your engine and the layout of your exhaust but I can tell you off the bat that the "brainbox" calculates and regulates how much fuel is pumped into each cylinder based on the values obtained from the oxygen sensors in an effort to maintain stoichiometry (ideal fuel-air mixture for combustion) , the "brainbox" corrects a lean (more air than fuel) gas stream in the exhaust by increasing the volume of fuel pumped into the engine, this is the primary mechanism of excessive fuel consumption as far as oxygen sensors are concerned so it is important for you to verify that the oxygen sensors especially sensors s1 (first sensors on each bank of the engine) are working. You should also know that by default, a faulty oxygen sensor reports a lean system to the "brainbox". The oxygen sensors are installed at the inlet and outlet of the catalytic converter this way the brainbox uses the values of sensor 2 in comparison to sensor 1 to determine functionality of the catalytic converter which is an emissions control device. If you change these sensors and cleared codes, there is no way to tell their functionality until you complete a "drive cycle" to bring the monitors back online then a scan will give you their true status. Sorry about the long post smiley is your "check engine" or "service engine soon" light lit on the dashboard?

The advert was posted on Tuesday Guardian, check properly before discouraging others from applying for a genuine recruitment.

I don't remember "discouraging" anyone from applying, I just stated my opinion. I have checked as best as I can, unfortunately I can't get a hold of that paper, kindly share a pic if you have got it, thanks.

Guys, I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble here but it seems unemployment may have made us so gullible, no one seems to be questioning the authenticity of this ad, how come its not published anywhere else but job sites? The 'parent' site of the email address provided i.e. www.dangoteprojects.com appears so dodgy with little or no information, if you ask me I'll say it's a site hurriedly setup for a scam but don't take my word for it. I want to plead with anybody who can verify the authenticity of this Dangote Refinery ad to kindly show us proof (post a pic of the national daily u saw the ad in, showing the date and all), for those who think there is no harm in applying if u are not paying money, I will like to introduce you to IDENTITY THEFT! Looking to hear back from all you nice folks soon.
