I just confirmed from someone who did it in 2011. She said 7k per election day.

No, you don't. While in camp (batch B stream2) an NYSC official while addressing us in a lecture said you been a corp member qualifies you automatically to partake in the election process. So no need applying online.

The soldiers, are they friendly? Is it possible to boycott some of the strenous activities, like those long hours standing in the sun? Is it possible to be excused of some of those activities with health complaints like headach, chest pain, etc?

The soldiers are very friendly. You can only boycott if you are in OBS or you have a signed note from the camp clinic... But trust me, you would enjoy all of the activities.

Yes, there are 3 atms in camp.
For a light spender that would eat only kitchen food and doesn't drink 5-8k would do (this is exclusive of the money u would spend on bucket, waist pouch registration materials e.t.c)

Average spender 10-15k (this is exclusive of the money u would spend on bucket, waist pouch, registration e.t.c)

For the heavy spenders that would eat mammi food only ... 30k and above would do

Mannylex you didn't answer mine. I asked how the registration process goes plus how easy is it to get exeat from camp?

Registration could be a bit hectic, shld take 2-3 days... As for exeat, itz been quite easy here. People even get exeat for 3 hours, 3 days, 1 week, even full exeat. So getting exeat has been smooth here, no hassles.

It's allowed only on sundays till about 2pm. So about two pairs should do.

We weren't allowed to wear mufty at all even on sundays... So don't bother carrying extra load, coz u won't use it. My mufty is still chilling in my bag. Except you want to partake in drama, camp idols e.t.c leave ur mufty at home.

1. There is a camp secretariat in camp, just try visiting, and know atleast one person that would know you well too... Just be loyal and greet wella

3. No... We here in lag camp, they treat us like creamies. Lol

4. Some boring, some wonderful, some inspiring... But the stuff go tire you.

5. When u get here, u can pick any that interests you, but maami makes sense wella. Hehehe.... There are lots of competitions to partake in here oh, make sure you participate if you can, people have won freezer, tv, washing machine, cash prizes e.t.c So no dull oh

6 pick a bed space close to the window, coz of the breeze and cos you can dry your clothes there. But always close ur window when u aint around, so that rain won't mess up your bed... My room has been fun maybe coz I and 7 of my nairaland and bbm cliq are in same room.

They do. That 25Percent I mentioned has ministries incorporated in it... Just know that majority ends up in schools. Except those in the medical field.

NYSC won't post you there, though in some very rare cases u could be posted to private firms, but not the one's u mentioned... U can ghost your ppa though, in the sense that u accept your primary posting then convince them to help you sign your monthly clearance...


Traditionally 75percent get schools
25percent get Lga
5 percent private firms...

Abeg tell us what you guys are going through... How's the camp? The environment and weather? Are the soldiers friendly, is water supply readily available, any updates on mosquitoes invasion? How's the food? Etc etc

Lagos camp has been mad fun all through...

The soldiers are friendly
So much standing during parade
Morning drills make so much brains...
The environment is nice
There is steady water and the shower is working, the toilet flush is working
There is constant light atleast 20 hours a day.
I haven't tasted kitchen food so far, mammy's been good to me *wink*
Camp is crazy fun , jez carry cash sha...
