Seems this thread is for me to testify, I just bought a bag yesterday evening at 74k at Berger Lagos state and I have to walk round like 4 shops for the cheapest, so I don't know what punch is talking about. It has actually reduced because the last time I bought in February it was actually 82k but to say it's 58k i think that's a lie or a paid propaganda.
Meanwhile, remember it was less than 20k before APC came to power and about 25k when Tinubu assumed office

There are a lot of "unbranded" rice,unlike Big Bull,Stallion etc that are sold cheaper,in suburban area or villages/hinterlands....and they are actually destoned and polished but done semi manually..

I bought rice in Igedeland in Benue jusr last week..coming from a local mill for 53k...and it's good .

From the NBS report of 2003-04 when Tinubu was still governor, poverty rate in Lagos was 69.4%.

Obi left office in 2014, there was no NBS absolute poverty rate for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. So it's myopic to attribute the reduction to Willie Obiano.

Tinubu has increased poverty rate of Nigerians since he entered office in 2023 and shouted 'Fuel subsidy is gone'.

I have never seen a party so committed to undermining democracy like the APC has done, just within a few years of existence. It shows that any union that does not prioritize common good, can only do worse.

The NASS just keeps getting weaker and weaker. Even their dream of turning Nigeria into a one-party state is the first sign of a failing democracy. Nigerians have to be serious about making their votes count. If not for our future, for the future of our children.
