I still don't get why Buhari's health is an issue. We all live and end up dying one day, so whats the big deal? If he dies, we all move on. NEARLY two weeks after former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, ordered his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership card to be publicly shredded, the national leadership has hinted that the version of the card torn by the former president had already been earmarked for destruction.

According to the national secretary of the party, Professor Adewale Oladipo, who spoke while receiving some student union leaders who came to express their support for President Goodluck Jonathan, at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja, on Tuesday, the card was signed by former acting national chairman of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje.

The current PDP party membership card, according to Professor Oladipo, has the signatures of the current national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu and the national secretary, Professor Oladipo.

He indicated that there were plans to destroy the old version held by Obasanjo, bearing the signature of Baraje, who had since defected to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Baba is over 80 and my mother is around Obasanjo’s age. When you reach that age, you do things that only you can explain.

“Secondly, you will see that Baba did not tear our card. He asked somebody ostensibly to do the tearing and I am assuring you that the card that was torn was not the current PDP card.

“The current PDP card is signed by Mu’azu and Professor Oladipo. So the card he tore was a Baraje card, which we were going to destroy anyway. So I think Baba started it.

“Lastly, Baba is a very intelligent man. When Baba was helping us, he knew that a lot of people could have complained that they could have voted for PDP but Baba was there. You know when a big tree exists in a big forest, smaller trees cannot grow. If that big tree leaves, 10 to 20 smaller trees will grow.

“In politics, one big tree has a vote, while 20 small trees have 20 votes. If you do the arithmetic, I am a scientist, I know that head or tail, it is a win win situation for PDP,” the national secretary said.

Professor Oladipo observed that the promise by APC presidential candidate, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, to bring Boko Haram terrorists under control showed that he was not willing to crush them if elected.

He pointed out that President Jonathan, on the other hand, was intent on crushing the group and bringing its menace to an end, even as he had maintained focus on fundamental human rights in the midst of insurgency.

Noting that APC was only offering “a nebulous change,” he added that “you don’t give what you don’t have.”

While advising Nigerian youths to stick with President Jonathan, he recalled Buhari’s era as military head of state, during which he observed that Nigerians were forced to queue for days to get essential commodities.

The All Progressive Congress have always said that Goodluck Jonathan does not have the insight and capability to secure Nigerians from boko haram. That it is only the APC presidential candidate, Mohammadu

Buhari that can squarely end the insecurity challenges.

Now they are saying Pres. Jonathan should listen to ceasefire, they want boko haram to gain time and regroup, their plan won't work"

So far, Boko haram has lost almost all their camps in Bornu, Yobe and Adamawa, they are now distributing flyers in Potiskum Yobe, Adamawa State asking for ceasefire as they flee for safety.

Should federal government now listen to the call by APC spokesman Lai Mohammed to a ceasefire deal which he said that Federal government should use this time to dialogue with the insurgence group.?

It's clear to see a person or group ideology or interest when they start showing sympathy for what they love. Apc have even started insinuating that Federal government is holding a fake SHEKAU to indict their presidential candidate.

How would Apc know the fake if they don't know the original? after all, Chief Femi Fani Kayode said in his last interview on channels TV that boko haram nominated buhari as their spokesman in 2012, this really speaks volume of who we are dealing with.

With all PDP's attacks against the person Buhari and the APC campaign to defeat Jonathan and his party the PDP failing to turn the table and make bright the fortunes of Goodluck Jonathan's quest to stay put in Aso Rock against the increasing desire of Nigerians to vote for Change and turn a new leaf. President Jonathan is now left with his last Trump Card - Use Boko Haram to smear the good name of General Buhari.

From the look of things, this may have be regarded as a last resort. Below is the unavailing of President Jonathan's last Trump Card against Buhari:

1. As suspected, Boko Haram crisis is a political wildcard the PDP have reserved and groomed for a long time coming. The latitude given, sometimes totally ignoring them, our soldier abandoning weapons, lack of re-enforcement during military operations were all efforts to keep the tempo of fear in our hearts. How about Boko Haram striking any time the government is deep in on failure or the other?

2. When Jonathan got $1,000,000,000 ($1b) loan to fight Boko Haram and spent it in paying for the ceasefire that could not hold, it was a deal done with Shekau, brokered by Chadian President. We all saw the picture. But the ceasefire did not hold because some Boko Haram commander refused signing up to the deal.

3. As stated before, Boko Haram will not be eliminated until it is used against the Opposition. And now that the election outcome does not look good for the president, and desperation setting in, Boko Haram will be a vital tool - either by them attacking the opposition, framing APC leaders or Jonathan brandishing his name as the one who captured Shekau.

4. As Abacha was quoted to say, "Any crisis that lasts beyond a couple of days, has the hand and support of the government, in one way or the other". Boko Haram has lasted more than 5yrs with President Jonathan.

By denying INEC security for the elections, President Jonathan the Commander-In-Chief and his Officers in the Military have forced the hands of INEC to delay the election and buy Jonathan enough time to execute his last Act. The 6-weeks delay, military chiefs leading the charge, the new found cheat-beating and boasting from the Presidency of capturing Shekau "ALIVE", all point to the fact that this Trump Card is going as planned.

5. Discussing this yesterday with some friends, many believe that Boko Haram leader should be already in their custody by now for the plan to work.

6. The next important decision in the Trump Card against the APC is "How Do You Unavailable Shekau?" Should he be picked up like Saddam in a hole? Or the "Navy Seal" style with Osama? Whatever the plan, the aim is to dissuade voters from voting Buhari (especially among Christians). Which plan will get the largest electoral votes?

Few facts remain true, Boko Haram has stayed this long and over 20,000 innocent Nigerians dead because it is politically motivated or hijacked. It does not matter who it is. Also the fact that Jonathan and his military Chiefs will deal more blow on the entire Boko Haram structure in less than 6weeks than it has in 5years makes one wonder - WHY?

As this Trump Card plays out, Nigerians will troop out on 28th March to vote for the Candidates of their choice. The person with the highest votes and most states won will become the next President. Cheap Propaganda has proven not to be effective in this election.

“I have it on a strong ground that there is a plan to capture a Shekau before the week to elections. And the captured Shekau who is currently undergoing training on what to say and do will mention Buhari as one of their core sponsors.
