Congratulations. I already told you, there is no short cut to Germany. You have to have a lot of patience. I got married since 2017, my husband is German, we now have a child that is one and half year old, yet am still waiting for my visa. I am telling you this because you have to exercise a lot of patience. I repeat, there is no short cut to Germany. Don't give anybody money, they can't help you. Go on the embassy website and follow the instructions one after the other. Learn German A1 level and do the exam @Goethe institute in Lagos (that's the only one accepted by the embassy). Gather all your documents ready and keep checking your email daily. If you have already applied , you need a lot of patience. Your documents MUST go through a verification process of 6 to 10 months. Embassy normally says six months but its a lie. Mine is already going to a year now. My brother PATIENCE is the key word.

Update!Marriage was succesful, everything was successful she had the best days of her life, but the problem we had was the embassy,it was all so complicated, nobody wanna help the man at the front of the german embassy keeps writing the website for us to go apply online then after 6 months we'll get appointment dates,it was so crazy,we even got someone working inside to help it was all crazy, she was so stressed up by traffic and everything, one time we were in traffic for almost 3hours,all was fun,it was so much, fun cant even start to count, all was low budget, she has been searching for easier ways from germany to quicken or fasten the process,we've got our hopes up,if not i'll apply, been doing lots of research and trying to learn some german, please dont criticise me if this post is not perfect or there's any grammatical errors,i am one humble guy,we both dont have all the money to pay, everything went successful as God wanted it

You need to be very patient. Just April 2019. I applied since December 2018 and am still here. You need to be very very patient. Stop calling or mailing them, they won't reply you or give you any tangible answer.

If your husband is German ,you will apply for a German passport for your child @the embassy ,then book appointment for the child (passport appointments are always available and easy), if the father is not German, then you need to get a Nigerian passport for her first, then apply for her visa

Sullyheart:
Good day, please I need your advice/view on this...I have been called for an interview at the German embassy by November and as at the time I booked an appointment,I haven't given birth but now I have my baby and by that November, she will be 3months old....The question now is,1) Do I need to book an appointment for the baby also?2)Does she need a visa to travel too?? 3)Do I need to hold her passport and documents if going for my own interview..
Family Reunion visa...
Thank you in advance

DONT TRY IT. He might have scammed someone and looking for who to go to jail for it. Why do you need to change your identity if the process is genuine? I repeat, DONT TRY IT

TweezyR:
Hello travelers...
please I need your genuine advice. that's why I came to this thread.
please a friend of mine living abroad promised to help me travel abroad. but he is saying he only needs my passport but he will use another persons details but he will make my face look like the person. then if I get outside the country I can start bearing my original names and details.

please I want to know the implications of these cos we will soon start the process and I am scared if this won't lead to something else...

I feel I should have my own particulars and what if I want to visit Nigeria. he said he will apply for me to remain.. note he works in the airport I will land
please help me with your advice I don't want to be a victim of circumstances and I don't mind leaving the whole process to be safe. I have not traveled out before... I don't have an international ID card and don't know anything about traveling
please don't insult or abuse me just candid advice....thanks pals

Don't marry at the first meeting, they will think it's a fake marriage to get out of Nigeria. I married my husband after the third meet. We even travel to three different African countries together (these are the criterias that will determine the authenticity of your intentions). Total of six times my husband has come to Nigeria, Cotonou, Togo, Ghana to meet me. Am not saying you should do the same. Just make sure she comes to Nigeria at least two times and stay a minimum of one month each. You too should apply to visit her first (they will reject of course), but it will be in the record that your marriage is not fake that you guys are always trying to be together

I had to create a new moniker for this, am 27 my fiance is german she's 30, I didn't plan to do this, but i get more confuse as the day goes by.

Her plans are in 4 weeks time she comes to Nigeria. She intends to stay for two weeks, during that time we'll get married and fly back together to Germany.

she's already seen an hotel in Lagos, the thing is i know nothing about traveling, have never even traveled outside delta state. Am just a poor guy who grace found, we've been dating for a year now, i try to explain to her that the two weeks wont be enough, she says as soon as we get married it will all be easy, is there any thing that needs to be done, only nairaland can answer me this oo, i have no body oo been an active reader in travel section oo.

I need ideas o, can two weeks be enough, for everything?

First of all, you can't travel together, unless you want to go first as a tourist (not a husband) which will require a lot of money and you having a good job with a good salary. Secondly, if you want to get married immediately, you need to go to the marriage registry in your locality to register, they will take your informations and paste your passport pictures on their board for 21 days, after this you can get married. Do this before she comes, so the date the registry will give you will fall to the date she comes. Finally, you can't join her permanently immediately, visit the German embassy website for full details of applying for familyreunion visa, this process will take several months (never contact an travelling agent, they don't have any power to give you Germany visa). I have been with my husband since February 2017, married December, 2017, we have a baby March 2018. I am still waiting for my family reunion visa, my dear am still in Nigeria, Visa is not AUTOMATIC.
Please note: use the waiting time to better yourself so you can have certificates to submit to the embassy later. Don't ever make the mistake of submitting a fake certificate, they will find out. Good luck and happy married life in advance
