I know the igbos are proud to go down with the captain and the ship. Given the chance, dey did vote for GEJ again, knowing fully well the outcome. igbo kwenu! true love dont ask for nothing!
@unstableaswater

Do you realise that by not voting or re-electing Dr. Chris Ngige to the Senate by Anambra,
Ibos have lost the Position of the Senate President which APC had projected will go to the
South East, and the Speakership Seat to the SS?

Ibos shot themselves in the foot because of the blind rage and hatred that a lot of them
have for the Far-North as a result of the pre-civil war period/Nigeria civil war - I mean
many Ibos did not even hide the hatred. A large number of Ibos live in the North yet they
displayed open hatred for GMB. This has to stop!

Fortunately there are some Ibos who are able to see the bigger picture and do NOT
have hatred towards the Hausa/North. These men and women of Ibo origin abhor
the mental slavery that their kinsmen have immersed themselves in.

By 2023 max, the South East under APC should get ready for the Presidency instead of
waiting till 2023 Presidency under the PDP. Get your very BEST ready because Nigerians
will vote then for a SE President in 2023 after GMB.

Welcome on board President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR,
the newly elected president of Nigeria and the Abraham Lincoln
of Nigeria!

God bless Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the new Vice President and Senior
Advocate of Nigeria!

God bless all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora!

PoliticsRe: APC Loses Six Rep Seats In Lagos As Igbo Political Clout Grows. by Mapletraks:

you did not allow foriegners, Lagos was capital of Nigeria and IGBO AND NIGER DELTA are nigerians so stop giving false impression,is it not your fathers that fought for ALMIGHTY ONE NIGERIA so we should have the one NIGERIA and i am enjoying it pls enjoy and relish it

Tony
@christopher

It is Lagos Island (Marina, Lagos Island) which is less than 1% of the landmass of the entire Lagos State
that was the administrative capital or Federal Capital of Nigeria from 1906-1991.

However, with the creation of the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja in 1976, "Lagos Island" ceased to be the
capital of the State which was moved to Ikeja. Equally, with the formal relocation of the seat of the Federal
Government to Abuja on 12 December 1991, Lagos Island ceased to be Nigeria's political capital.

Lagos State wasn't the capital of Nigeria! grin

There is a difference between Lagos Island [Lagos for short or Eko in Yoruba, which is an Island town just like Bonny Island (or Bonny for short)], and Lagos State which is NOT a noman's land because the whole of Lagos State is owned by 3 sub-ethnic groups related to the Yoruba namely the Aworis who own or are indigenes of 17 LGAs out of 20 LGAs in Lagos State, the Ijebus who own the whole of
of Epe, Ikorodu, and Lekki LGAs, and Ogus/Aworis of Badagry LGA.

These 3 subethnic groups are the original indigenes of Lagos State which General Yakubu . Gowon created for them
on May 27, 1967 along with 11 other new states.

Even the British Colonialists clearly stated in there official documents and historical books that Lagos Island is a
Yoruba town and it has always been so. The British never said Lagos Island which served as the British admin capital
is a noman's - land just as Calabar, the former capital before Lagos Island also has real indigenes (Efik, Efut and the Qua).

Ibos must desist from insulting the Yoruba by refering to Lagos State as a nobody's land or that oil money built it.

Do other states in Iboland and Nigeria not get oil money from the Federation account like Lagos does? Please let
the indigenes of Lagos State enjoy their state without this overbearing attitude from some Ibos. Even a lot of Ibos had to
relocate themselves and their families to other states outside iboland - such as Lagos State, Abuja as a result
of the criminality and kidnapping of people for ransom!

Finally I read copy of the SUN newspaper and other historical documents which indicate that a lot of Yoruba and Edo lived
in Iboland in places like Abakaliki before the Nigerian Civil War and invested/built houses, but since the Civil War ended their
population had reduced in Iboland. Most can be found in mainly Rivers States and other South-South states.

Some Edo girsl and females came back to the Mid-West with pregnancies from being raped in Iboland prior to and during the early days of the Civil War of 1967-1970, before being expelled with other non-Ibos by the Secessionists, so that and other acts of insecurity such as kidnappings and vivious armed robberies had prevented a lot of non-Ibos from living in large numbers in the core 5 Eastern States.

A lot of the supposed "Hausa" in the Ibolands are NOT really Hausa but from foreign countries. Hausas don't do maiguard work or sell water (mai ruwa). wink

Onitsha and Asaba are some of the destinations for non-Ibos such as the Yoruba, Edo, and Hausa traders, business people and other professionals. smiley

PoliticsRe: 158 Boko Haram Members Arrested In Kano Attack by Mapletraks: 9:39am On Jan 25, 2012
I listened to BBC Radio Yesterday and the brother [of a young man and his wife who were reported to be b'haram members] complained bitterly in fluent English to the BBC Hausa correspondent that his brother and the wife were wrongly killed by the army! I hope this info is not true,   if it is the army will have to be careful next time so that innocent people don't get killed in friendly fire.
