Nice article JennyKandry. There is racism everywhere even in England and USA. It is due to ignorance but as Australians get to see more and more black people they will get used to them and gradually their attitude will change. What they need is education. The first white people that settled in Australia were British criminals (POMS). Just like America everybody in Australia is an immigrant and people should remember that.

Jennykandry, what field do you work in? Do you by any chance work in the Health industry? My wife is a Nurse and would like to meet fellow Nigerians in Perth when we get there in January. I myself studied Economics and then Mathematics so I work in the education industry in the UK.

^^ I live and work in Australia but believe me I have seen worse in other countries. I opened a thread last yr dec thanking God for what he did for me @ my work place. Amongst all them white people Australians and white foreigners, I was singled out  and recognized at my work place. My hubby got the email before me cos he is my next of kin. He told me about it and I did not believe him. We were in Nigeria then and when I decided to check my email after a week or so, I saw it for myself. These people(Aussies) were begging me to cut short my holiday and come back.

I remember being on a train in Germany with another friend of mine, minding our own business, when we heard one of the two German ladies sitting directly opposite us said to her friend in German ''I hate these blacks''. Sure she said it thinking we were  prosti/tu/es with no German language skills but just there to sleep around. I got very angry and I remembered replying them in German and mehn did they almost wee on themselves? I can pay a million dollars for the shocked expression on their faces. We threatened them with a law suit and these eediots were almost in tears, pleading and begging Like azzholes.

What i'm I saying? I have seen racism and believe me I find Australia better.

Australia student visa is very easy to get once you have the necessary fund in your bank account and the visa process takes like 3 months you can check this website to get more info http://www.immi.gov.au/students/

I did not apply for the study permit. I applied in 2009 and was denied after my package spends 11 weeks with them[b] (am not here to discourage anyone) [/b]

What i understand with CDHC is like they have quota in the number of Study permit they issue.

When did you go for your Medical?? and when is your school resuming!!!! Once you are been instructed to go for your Medical that means your visa is 80% success once your medical result is okay and the require amount is still in your bank account that means you are good to go

There is something the president can do.Because of the sincerity of Jerry Rawlings, Ghana today is a changed society.The issue is that nobody is ever made a scape goat.Until Obasanjo came,no public official was ever arrested or jailed since Shagari regime in 1979.So 1979 till 1999 corruption was the order of the day and this was carried out with impunity.There is still corruption and largely too but at least it is not carried out with impunity on a large scale like before.Efcc at least are there,even if they are not too effective.For instance i learnt that no body, not even soldiers have been brave enough to flout the BRT lane rule after that soldier was dealth with and dismissed.If one immigration officer is made a scape goat, i can tell you that will just be enough to deal and stamp out this menace.It is simple,somebody should be made to take responsibility for corruption at any level,until that happens we are in deep trouble.
