Kindly send photos of tarpoulin ponds for my consideration. I have half plot of land I am proposing for a fish farm. Concrete pond vs tarpoulin ponds, which is better and cheaper?

Phones / Re: Infinix zero discussion thread! by MarcoP: 9:55am On Sep 20, 2014
MizTyna: Hi everyone! Glad to see almost everyone's gotten their phones. For those that preordered, you are given high priority so pls go ahead and order on Konga. For other issues,i am back now. Happy weekend!

@MizTyna:
I'm feeling very sad right now.
I woke up this Saturday morning in high spirit, had my quiet time, pick up my Infinix Zero of less than 2 weeks old to read a bible passage on the KJV bible application while lying down at the edge of my bed.

As I moved to pick something from the side drawer, the phone slipped from my hand and fell to the floor. I picked it up not expecting any damage because it was a short distance, considering that my bed is very low.

Alas what did I see? The screen has cracked. I couldn't believe it.
How can this CGG3 break from such a short distance? I'm still is shock right now.
I've just transfered my Sim card from the Infinix to my Bold 5 to enable me post this. Moreso because I have Airtel 2G subscription running.

Please advise me on what to do.
Does my warranty cover the damage?
I live Agbado area of Lagos.

infact it is a very awesome phone. you wont believe that till you have it in your hands. Read my full review here http://qbizlinx.com/entries/reviews/product-review-infinix-zero-x506 and more pics+video review here

Why does my Infinix zero switch off on its own regularly even when my battery is at 95%? Someone should please answer me. And if I don't check from time to time I will be deceived by the screen thinking my phone is on standby.

You mean people like Gbawe, Ilegunboy, Eko Ile and their ilks? Always trying so hard all the time to make us swallow their parochial point of view on national issues.

Guys any info??

They can't sell to you unless you register as a distributor. and. you must be ready to take up large quantity monthly, and with pre-payment.
I don't think you can meet their conditions. so its better you search out a key distributor in your locality. good luck to you.

omotititi: Good morning all, quite a while. My POLs arrived on the 12 August and they are doing verywell. They are 17 weeks today . Dear colleagues, when should one expect the first egg? I give them topfeeds and got d POLs from Animal Care. God bless all d farmers cos we r working hard to feed our pple.

Congrats bro. Thank you for keeping the vision alive.
All other things being equal, you should expect your first egg in their 20th week if you use Top feed.
I got my first egg on day 2 of the 20th week, and I'm using Top feed. My birds just enttered their 25th week today. I'm harvesting 4 crates daily now.
I stocked 202 DOC on march 4. I lost only 4 birds along the line, leaving me with 198 birds. I hope to share the financial records later.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Gotv Problem (Many Missing Channels) by MarcoP: 7:33pm On Aug 18, 2013
Amadaz: mine is working perfectly, i think ur problem would be your location, sell your house in d remote part and move into d city. chikena!!!

It is a general problem with GoTv system. That is what i was told at a DStv agent office when i wanted to renew my subscription. They advised me to hold on until DStv rectifies the problem. I think they need to invest more in infrastructure.
As for those comparing GoTv with Startimes, please wake up from your sleep.
I have both DsTv and GoTv, I have abandone the former since i bought the latter. GoTv offers me what i need, CNN and Select sports for me, cartoons and africa magic for my children. Now compare 1,500 per month to the 4,200 i was wasting before.
Moreso, I think the time has come for us to demand pay as you use subscription. Because most people do not actually utilize more than 5% of subscription in a month, thanks to NEPA and daily hussles.

I learnt the price of eggs is looking up now.
Does anyone have the going rate in Ogun state? I live around Ijoko and the women here want to take my eggs for free.
Wishing you all a profitable week.

Fellow farmers in the house. Thank you for keeping this thread alive. I have been busy with a few things.
The good news is that my birds have not disappointed. They have started delivering the golden eggs.
I owe a lot of appreciation to this thread for all the advise and knowledge shared. It went a long way to see me through this project.
My birds are in their 25th week now. I hope to share more details later. Mortality is only about 2%. Is God not wonderful?

Politics / Re: Intercontinental Hotel Opens In Lagos by MarcoP: 2:02pm On Jun 10, 2013
pappilo:

No international hotel franchise owns a hotel in Lagos. They manage the hotels on behalf of Nigerian owners. Sheraton Lagos is controlled by the Ibru family (Ikeja Hotel Ltd) but managed by Starwood International under the Sheraton name. Radisson Blu is owned by Oba Otudeko but managed by Carlson Rezidor Group under the Radisson name. Hilton Abuja is owned by Transcorp but operated by the Hilton group. It was at one time jointly owned by NICON and Noga thus it was called Nicon Noga Hilton.

If you remember Eko Hotel was called Eko Holiday Inn in the 80s. It was then managed by the Holiday Inn chain. Big hotel groups find it less risky and less capital intensive to operate hotels on behalf of local investors in developing countries.

Thank you for your well informed and knowledgeable post.

All you Tinubu ass-hole lickers can you please read and comprehend this?
Or do you want it translated to Swahili for you.

Quite insulting us cause we are not lay abouts like block heads.

I thought they said he owned Oriental hotel. How can one person own two different hotels in the same city.

@ OP: how does this information help the case of hungry Nigerians...

Why not also reveal the other secrets that some of us already know...
Tinubu owns Oriental, SouthernSun Ikoyi, Rennaisance Alausa, Shoprites Lekki & Ikeja, Trojan Estate Ajah, Lekki Concesion Company, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge, Lekki Free trade Zone/Sea port, BRT, Eko Atlantic project, half of entire Banana Island, and many others scattered across Nigeria, USA and Dubai. In short he owns anything worth mentioning in Lagos, except those existing before he governed Lagos. No past governor has looted Lagos this bad. Go ask Jakande. The guy is a smooth crook, he uses friends/associates as fronts.

jamp: Hello people. My DOC will soon be coming home. Pls I want to know how many stove and laterns I need for their warmth as we don't ve electricity in the farm.they are 1,000 chicks

I think you will needd to invest in a small generator (I pass my neighbour) cause your chicks will need 24 hours light for the first 7 days or so.
So you will need to run your gen over-night for a few days. (I used inverter when I was brooding my birds).
After then you can begin to use lanterns to privide light, ensure you hang them with wire from the roof to avoid fire disaster.
You will need about 6 lanterns.
You will need 4 charcoal stoves, but you must provide wire mesh to protect the stoves to avoid your chicks roasting themselves in the fire.
Ensure close monitoring and regulation of warmth, its important.
Good luck.

NB: how much did you spend on your pen construction, and any cost-saving startegies. I'm hoping to expand soon. You can share with us here or inbox me: austeen247@gmail.com.
Cheers!

Lol@ his 1 vote, you mean even his wife did not believe in him... Lolzzzzz.

But seriouisly, why should Dele insult the people of the SS region with his suggestion of Amaechi as the best VP material.
An ex-houseboy to Gov Peter Odili be the best for the SS region?
Plzzzzzz!!!

There are many enterprising, intelligent young men fron this region with economic ideas that can transform this country.
Many of them are currently focusing their energy on their private enterprise. I would rather throw my weight behind a man who has been successful in business before venturing into politics; and not those whose only claim to their billions of naira is by virtue of occupying a political position or public office.

Such people soon get confused not knowing what to do with their stolen wealth other than to want to play Mafia or Lord of the Rings. Just as one drug-addict is currently doing in SW region.

You are even more dead brain than the criminal pilot who cannot do such in his own country.

Are laws made for only the poor in nigeria? There is too much executive recklessness in this country.

So does the decision of NAMA to wake up and do their job connect this incidence to GEJ and NGF Election. Nonesense and sensationalised reporting typical of Nigerian media.

...SMH for ignoramus that will come here to insult GEJ.

yimikaa: MSc and Phd earning 25000k.This is not funny anymore...God help our leaders do the right thing..

Publish the names of the PhD and MSc holders that applied for the job.
Its all ACN propaganda.

We know there are no jobs in Nigeria, but not for a PhD to apply for your clerical job when there are many private schools that will gladly employ them for much more just to shore up the profile of such schools.

Anyway, how can there be jobs for people when all the jobs created through the questionable public-private partnership ventures in Lagos are meant only for members of Tinubu family and their close associates.

Go to Lekki Concession Company, Alpha Beta Consulting, LAGBUS, Office of Public-Private bla bla bla, Oriental Hotel, Southern Sun Hotel, and many others.

Soon they will say its GEJ that's responsible for Tinubu's drug problem. May God deliver our leaders.

Cluelessness of the party leadership.

Another step towards the destruction of PDP. More suspensions to follow soon!

You have come with your Foolish talk again!
Are you suggesting that there should be no discipline in PDP?
People should do what they like, abi?

Will such be tolerated in ACN, where Tinubu is the ultimate umpire who decides who will be governor, senator, house of reps member, house of assembly, LG chairman, senator, commissioners, messenger, etc.

Moreso, I don't see how disciplinary actions in PDP should become the headache of opposition parties.

Why don't you quickly try and woo them to join your one-man party. Even though we all know that the APC coalition is dead on delivery.

Bunch of ostriches!
Agriculture / Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by MarcoP: 1:09pm On Jun 05, 2013
jamp: My people dis poultry biz dey chop moneyoo. The house for d chick is costing us a lot.

I want to know the number of chicks a 30ft by 70ft house can contain(ie width is 30ft while the length is 70ft)

Congrats on your progress. Poultry is capital intensive but you will reap the dividend if properly managed.
Now to your question on capacity: if you multiply 30ft by 70ft, you get 2,100 sq ft. The standard capacity for deep litter is 2.5 sq ft/adult bird (layers).
Divide 2100 by 2.5 = 840.
It means the maximum number of birds you can rear to adult stage in your pen is 840. However, if you are using cage the space should be able to accommodate between 1,000 and 1,200.
I will advise you stock less than your capacity as a beginner, say about 500.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
Politics / Re: Gen Buhari On The Verge Of Political Suicide by MarcoP: 12:55pm On Jun 05, 2013
Gamji007: Gen.Buhari, being a man with principles.always says what he believes to be true, irrespective of what his his haters would think. He is a poor politician(hypocrites) but a good administrator.

Going through the interview on Liberty radio, any objective listener will agree with most of his comments. My opinion may differ from his on the issue of state of emergency, his opinion may be born out of GEJ's known anti-northern and tribalistic position. From the october 1 bomblast which GEJ tried to put the blame on northerners despite MEND claiming responsibility, to the non-chalant attitude towards curbing the security situation in the north.

You guys should not forget how Buhari crushed similar islamic sect, with objectivity and sincerity. He didn't care then, whether they were Northerners, he just got the job done.

Buhari, like him or hate him, he is the only surviving incorruptible leader known to Nigerians cool

@ op,long time! How is Reuban Abati your brother? I guess you got this piece of trash from him!

Products of same sex marriage! grin

I sympathize with your situation. Its not easy coping with this level of disappointment from your diarrhea-mouthed CPC/APC/ACN leader, Buharam.

Pls read your post over again and evaluate yourself.

You will agree with me that YOU ARE NOW TRULY A CONFUSED FELLOW, who is no longer sure whether to continue on the hellish ride with Gen Buhari or simply repent and tow the path of honour by supporting GEJ to reposition Nigeria.
