Politics › Re: EFCC To Seize Diezani’s Assets In America by mare23ayo(m): 11:18am On Aug 24, 2016 |
LORDOFTHEOSU: Don't you guys have the capacity to read, comprehend and understand? Did you not see the below in the report? What is in the report that make you guys think EFCC said they'll just enter the US and seize properties without the American justice system involved?
A top EFCC source, who spoke in confidence, said: “We have located some assets allegedly owned by Diezani and some of her business associates in the United States. We are already collaborating with the US Government to attach these assets. “In fact, the EFCC chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, spent about one and a half weeks in the US to work with the relevant agencies to trace Diezani’s properties, some of which are believed to have been secured through business fronts like Kola Aluko. “We have submitted relevant documents to the US authorities in order to facilitate the seizure of the assets.” You see there are Educated people and there are Educated illiterates.. the Latter are the ones who commented above. |

Business › Re: CBN Sanctions Nine Banks For Failing To Remit $2.3bn NNPC Funds by mare23ayo(m): 11:15pm On Aug 23, 2016 |
seunmsg: United Bank for Africa (UBA) $530m; First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) $469m; Diamond Bank Plc ($287m); Sterling Bank Plc ($269m); Sky Bank Plc ($221m); Fidelity Bank ($209m); Keystone Bank ($139); First City Monument Bank (FCMB) $125m; and Heritage Bank ($85m).
It is so unfortunate that these evil banks would deliberately refuse to remit a whooping $2.3bn in a period of acute forex shortage. Not even the economic challenges of the country or the free for all drop of the Naira could appeal to the conscience and patriotism of the management of these banks to remit this huge amount of money at a period when the country needs all the available dollars that can be gotten. I sincerely hope CBN and other relevant government agencies will impose more stiffer sanctions and punishment against the banks and their collaborators from NNPC. My Brother, if the government insist they pay all the money into TSA, what do you think would be left for those banks to operate with? just try and imagine what will happen to jobs. Don't let me say further. |
