ramalot: cold:Mr cold and Mr ramalot, I can see your brain sizes are equivalent to your peanut-sized ideologies. So let me address you in the manner you want to be addressed. Starting with you, cold. You asked me I should tell you the "specific" God you would serve amongst the, in your words, Hindu, Islam, Buddist Gods, right? Good. What are those words mentioned? Incase you didn't hear me the first time, they are RELIGIONS. Christianity, Islam, Buddism, Judaism---all these were man-made tenets incorporated by man and known as religion. Now, for your 411, there is a wide gap between religion and belief. Religion is like a culture, a way of life while Belief is a personal obligation, an acceptance of a possibility and/or aspect of life. That is the problem with you atheist lot, you are SO confused that you mix up ideas and sink further into ignorance. Religion and Belief are two seperate things! A very good scenario is this: Mr A was born into a Christian home. His parents are both pastors in church. He was baptized and bears a christian name. He attends church everyday and is also aspiring to be a pastor. But he has never for once knelt down to pray and accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, asking to be forgiven of his sins and redemption. Mr B was born into an atheist family. His parents never talked about God neither did care to. Mr B lives a life of unbelief until he sees a Bible lying somewhere. He starts to read it and someone(n.b, not necessarily a pastor) explains the Word to him. His eyes become open, and his heart accepts this Word. He askes God to come into his life and change him, that he BELIEVES He is God and Creator of the Universe. Now who amongst these two do you think is religious and a believer? Use your brain @romalot. Religions, just like culture, are different. We are all different people in this world, everyone have different modes of worship. In my opinion, there is only one God. There's nothing like a Hindu God, Islamic God. That, is what is the cause of all these problems today in the world, more raving, less understanding" Have I finally answered your questions, kiddos? |

cold:You're a grown man with a brain, put yourself in the right. Don't ask me to do that for you. In the Scriptures it is said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." You have refused to know that truth, so how on earth do you expect freedom? You will forever remain in bondage of conflicting theories and scientific jargon that men like you have thrown to you to feast on, to dance to their tune like puppets at a show. You are busy talking about religion. I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the belief that God exists. Get your facts straight. |
Religion / Re: Christmas Bombings: God Is Powerless! by MariAmara(f): 12:34pm On Dec 31, 2011 |
cold:Dude, get it into your brainwashed, Westernized bleached skull that you are making no sense, even to yourself. Grow a pair and admit the honest truth: THERE IS A GOD, THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE! I am a Christian because I chose the religion, and that was because I felt and witnessed the power of God in my life. I look around me and see the sun, the moon, stars, the trees, the grass, the sand underneath my feet, the air I breathe, the water, seas, people, animals! I see how cordinated everything is and I know that it all exceeds my mortal understanding, that a supernatural and superior Being is responsible for that. Even intelligent doctors and scientists like the known neurosurgeon Dr Ben Carson said it himself, "The human brain is the most complex part of the body; you can't even begin to fathom it in a billion ways." And then you and your cohorts open your mouths to yarn dust that all that, the entire universe came from NOTHING? How dumb can you get? Who's the foolish one now, mr Cold. There was a time in this world when your stupid scientific theories never existed, what then before that time, did life and mankind begin from? The air? Then what created the air?? Please. I'm sure you're a full-grown man with some brains left(what's left over from what science and the devil has scrambled). Go, use that brain and rethink your opinions. It's the last day of 2011, don't let this foolishness cross over to the next year because the New Year babies to be born would be said to have much more understanding than yourself. |

Recycle bins. Making no sense with their arguements anymore, what happened to your atheist zeal? What happened to the insults you all were throwing to Christians and Believers of God at the beginning of this thread? You have been answered dutifully, and now you have scurried away like rats to hide under your foolishness. Have you finally realized how pathetic you all are, repeating the same words over and over again like spoilt radios? Cat got your tongues, I presume. |

Religion / Re: Christmas Bombings: God Is Powerless! by MariAmara(f): 8:11am On Dec 31, 2011 |
cold:Now let me hit you back with your stupidity. The West introduced Christianity, but before then the African society believed in God. The Igbos called Him Igwe, Amadioha, Orisha, while the Yorubas called Him Oluwa, Sango. The only difference was the Africans had a total different way of worshipping Him, through idols, dieties. But atleast they BELIEVED. They, our forefathers even believed, and you, with all your brains and jet age have chosen not to. They are better than you by a million miles. You atheist lot amaze me. How can a sane person at this age choose not to believe in God?? When science has failed you all radically(you claim to be genuises, but you haven't explained the concept of life, how and why you cannot give life to all your manufactured robots) and yet you come here yelping like wounded wild animals! Why don't you "construct" life and give yourselves a back-up when the present ones expire? @poster, you're singing about DNA, aren't you the genuis? Why can't you yourself explain something you proclaim to know? Confused bunch of dogs chasing their tails, I feel SORRY for all of you! |

bayooooooo:I'm afraid it is you, Sire, that is already on your way to hell, in an Oceanliner speedjet. Keep going, your words and blasphemies alone are giant propellers for your doom. |
Religion / Re: Christmas Bombings: God Is Powerless! by MariAmara(f): 12:54am On Dec 31, 2011 |
bayooooooo:First of all, who are you that God has to prove Himself to you? You're nothing but a mere, empty mortal that will die, decay and rot away and be forgotten with history. Men more greater than you have all whined in the past about God "proving" Himself to them, and they all died without answers, how much more you, a Nairalander looking for his ten minutes of fame by blaspheming against His Creator. I laugh in pidgin! Keep waiting for proof, my dear novice poster. God is not a magician, He will only prove Himself to His children; the people who believe and accept Him into their hearts as their Lord and Savior. He will only prove Himself to people who are READY to believe, not people who the Devil has hardened their hearts to believe, people like you. You will never understand because you have failed to accept the truth, you have been brainwashed by science and its cohorts who confuse you each passing day. Nobody with such a narrow-minded thinking like you can fathom the power and the supernatural entity of God, so forget it. Keep drowning in your abyss of ignorance because evidently your case is a lost one. |

Kpac:You've said it all. I really feel sorry for Nigeria, and the world at large. It's even more pathetic that an African would open his mouth to say all these horrible things about the Creator of the Universe. An African, who has been treated unfairly, trampled upon, sold to slavery, beaten, killed, maimed and still belitted by the Western world, the same West that started up Christianity, that brought it to our lands, they are the same people now telling us there is no God, and some foolish Africans are keen to believe them! Why won't they say all that when they have done all they can do with their intelligence? They have invented all they can, they have developed their societies, they have reached the peak of science and technology and realized there's nothing more to do. The next best thing to do? Attack God. Hammer it into people's heads that we all came from monkeys, which ironically, comes from Africa. And some are falling for the trick. To you all, bravo. The same God you so despise, is the only One that can save you. Run to Him before it's too late. |
Religion / Re: Christmas Bombings: God Is Powerless! by MariAmara(f): 8:53pm On Dec 30, 2011 |
It's official, all these athiests are delusional. You come here ranting and raving like mad dogs, telling people there's no God because He didn't stop the Christmas attacks from happening, like this is the first time people are dying in the world. What about the Crusades, World War 1 and 2, the numerous earthquakes, floods, sicknesses, starvation, accidents, plane crashes that have taken billions of lives in time and presently? Why didn't you open your wide, filthy mouths to bark about all that? If you don't believe in God, shut your pieholes and stick to your opinions, don't come on here and try to shove it down people's throats! African "Bush" mentality, just because the West is spreading atheism like a virus you all ran like whimpering puppies to lap it all up. Mtchewww. I am sorry for all of you. |

@poster I'm pretty sure your friend has not been following the recent event that occurred barely three months ago, where a man mercilessly butchered his own wife all because he was frustrated. What caused that frustration? Joblessness, because he had earlier been fired from his workplace. An idle man is indeed a devil's workshop, do you think that saying is mere water under bridge. With the rate of unemployment in Nigeria people are scrambling for anything that can atleast provide a decent meal for themselves and families. And your friend with his bulky income cannot "manage" it?! WTF?? Sorry to say, but he's an i.diot. Let him resign, I just pray his wife does not pay with her life when his frustration mood swings hit. |

Sagamite:I wouldn't agree more. If your ward got a "scholarship" to study wherever overseas, then present the documents to prove it and get the waiver. Simple. I wish this law will be passed, all these ministers, governors and senators loot public funds, send their kids to schools abroad and the average Nigerian student struggles through the horrors of the country's educational system, all for nothing because these theives kids come back and claim all the well-paying jobs. God pls let the bill be passed, they go hear am! |

Phones / What Smartphone Is More Fun--iphone Or Blackberry? by MariAmara(f): 10:02am On Jun 22, 2011 |
I want to get either of the two, but I'm torn because I've been hearing different confusing opinions. So Nairalanders, help me out. Please state the various apps that make an iPhone or Blackberry a fun smartphone that never makes you regret buying it. You could attach photos or links. And for iPhone users, is it true that most apps are purchased for a charge, and they expire after sometime and can only function when you re-purchase them again? In my opinion, that kinda blows, so please clarify. P.S: No Battle of the Smartphone users, please. I just want honest opinions. |

Romance / Re: 10 Reasons Why I Hate Being A Woman: by MariAmara(f): 12:12am On Jun 14, 2011 |
Oh you think it's hard being a woman? Okay, try being a man and pee while standing up, then watch your pee get a life of its own, points to any direction and literally design the tiolet. Oh, how about worrying 95% of the time that if by chance ANYTHING comes in full force, hard contact (a.k.a a blow) with your gonads you'll be in blue-fire pain for fifteen whole minutes? Or the fact that the instant you announce your welcome with a cry as a newborn you are burdened with pressures of being a man such as: 1. Do not EVER cry in public, or to a woman, unless you're gay or Dean Winchester of Supernatural. 2.Be sure to get married by 30 or end up like Hugh Hefner, attitude-wise. 3. Before you do no.2, you sure as hell got to have some dough in the bank or else the only girl who may say "yes" to your proposal would be your little sister's Barbie doll. And what about that little scientific crap theory that said you'll probably die before your wife, due to stress, heart failure and (for the guillable ones), heartbreak? Being a man is hard too, ladies. I am a woman and I am glad to be this way. Bring on the periods and mood swings, it guarantees my future babies and makes me eat chocolates as much as I want! Bring on the fashion, it makes me look beautiful and different anyday! And screw the make-up, au naturel looks rock anyday, and most guys love it too! Love being a woman! |
TV/Movies / Broadway Comes To Nollywood: Inale The Musical! by MariAmara(f): 11:10am On Jun 13, 2011 |
On June 24th, a Nollywood version of Broadway musical will make its debut in cinemas all over Nigeria. It's called Inale and it stars Ini Edo and Keppy Ekpenyong, alongside notable Nigerians in Diaspora actors and actresses Hakeem Kazim(24, Pirates of the Carribbean) and Caroline Chikezie(Eragon, Aeon Flux, Footballers Wives, Supernatural). It will be shown all around Africa much later in the year. So what do you all think? This is really a nice move, I'm glad Nollywood is breaking grounds and moving up internationally, the movie has presently won many awards both home and abroad. Can't wait to see it! |
