Key roles / Qualification

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has finally slashed the rate it sells Dollar to operators of Bureau De Change (BDC) in the country to N357 per dollar, down from N360 per dollar.
This is coming after a meeting held Monday between the apex bank and executives of Association of Bureaux Se Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON).

The apex bank also reduced the rate at which BDCs sell dollars to the public to N360 per dollar, down from N362 per dollar.

ABCON President, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, confirmed this development in a message to all BDCs Monday.

The message read: “This is to inform all our members that the Cbn have considered our demand on rate review and therefore have approved with immediate effect as follows.

“Our buying rate #357 per dollar; Our selling rate #360/$.. Please comply urgently . And you are therefore warned that any one caught selling above the#360 per dollar will be severely dealt with.”

The Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, has expressed hope that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) “will rule Nigeria forever”.
The minister stated this on Monday while addressing journalists shortly after the inauguration of the Taraba state chairman at the ruling party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Alhassan, also known as “Mama Taraba,” who also indicated her intention to contest for the governorship slot in Taraba, expressed hope that the APC would take over Gombe and Taraba states in 2019.
