Nobody is not waking up to reality of capitalism
Let us leave self indulgent talk about African soul and make plans
Nations are not operating with the same lifespan as human beings
How old are the Grammys How old is the USA
Life is a marathon
Where was China in 1990
Do you think they do not have cultural ambition

Whatever it is that is in the African soul is obviously missing in your talk
You have already surrendered and are bending over to pick up the soap

Some of still believe in us that is the difference

One day in Nigeria we will have awards bigger than the Grammys
The important thing is to imagine believe, plan and start
even if it takes 200 years

Let us learn from China

A country that makes 100 year plans

Even if we want to taunt Ghana about award
I can never participate if it is an Oyinbo award

That is the height of low self esteem

We as black people boasting to each other

Oyinbo talk say I better pass you

Una no dey shame?
Una no dey think?I
I take an exception to your soap analogy.

Take that back!

aribisala0:
You clearly do not
Grammy Award is just an enterprise for American music companies
Best African music nominations and they are all signed to American labels
No Hausa music, no Swahili, no Yoruba

You are preoccupied with your Ghana hating project
It is petty and small minded

Because of American labels we no longer hear any music from Zaire, Mali, etc

Crucially we no longed hear African instruments
It is all electronic

How many of those nominated can play a single musical instrument
Real African musicians like Seun Kuti are screened out

So the Grammy is not a good thing for Africa
It serves the commercial interests of those nominated and jobless haters like you

Why is there no Grammy for best Asian music?
They refuse to sell out and Americanize their sound

A Best African category only divides us

If it is not in Igbo , Yoruba Swahili etc it is not African
If it is electronic it is not African
While I align with you views,

I still wake up to the realities of capitalism and commercialization everyday.

In fact it's what's driving the world as it is right now.

Even the socialists and communists still how much under the power of capital, though not in the way the west does.

While I may not have reason why there's no room for best Asian music category, I know that from the 90s, many Asian/English pop bands were making waves like the Wynners. Presently, K-Pop is a thing.

There's must be something about the African soul that makes these Europeans beam laser focus on us.

The reality still remains that Nigerian music is sellout music.

With all what we face, the main topics you hear revolve around romance and jaiye. You would be expecting to hear some real soulful stuff.

If they gave you life to come figure life out from the onset and no viable foundation to start from, they failed you and your supposed future.

The shooter may walk off with a light sentence if at all.

And come on, I even mentioned that they're crazy with guns, what more do you want to hear?

You are in a territory where they're crazy with guns and you walk to a wrong address, trying the locks with an obviously wrong key?

Go to villages, there are cutting trees anyhow because of charcoal and they are not planting more. Taking the lives of these trees is not inimical to the society at large. It causes what again? Global warming
You know,

When it comes to this issue of global warming, I will always say, give Africa a break.

The people warming up the globe know themselves.

High pollution is synonymous with high industrialization.

And the global west is the most industrialized.

They should deal with the heat they brought upon the globe.

Leave Africa out of

While the world may have moved on to cleaner energy sources, charcoal has numerous other uses and application beyond fuel.

DeipTruth:
It sounds made up but when I struggled with liver infection I spent everything to get well I lost weight from 72kg to 51kg I was dead broke but somehow I kept receiving 15k and 50k from different accounts.,I went to my bank to report it but it seems the sender answered them and they told me the owner of the account but till date I had no idea who was sending it. After 1yr I recovered I landed a job in with 150k salary and accommodation. The money stopped coming. I suspected it came from my close business partner. I wish him well, I’m married today and since then he cut off from me. I feel that he secretly loved me but never mustered the courage to tell me. Hence the heartbreak. Even when I call him to ask of his health cause he developed kidney failure, he will rush the conversation and end the call. I stopped calling him for some years now because he doesn’t answer my calls or have he responded to my WhatsApp messages.

Life happens, sometimes God sends people to be your angels in struggling times.
1. You were having a health challenge
2. You were in dire need.
3. You even made inquiries at your bank and were told the sender.

So yours is a different scenario from the made up Twitter tale.

On a side note, this is one of those twitter stories but the event is something that can and have happened. But you see this story, most likely fake.
Exactly, critical thinking is lacking

It would have made more sense if maybe let's say her sister was the one sending her the funds only to find out it was the guy sending it through the sister after he must have secured the sister's silence.

While I laud his iniative, I wish to clear some issues.

Defamation has a civil and criminal aspect to it.

An aggrieved person most times would employ the criminal side in order to use the instrumentality of the police to hound the defamer.

Another tricky aspect is the cybercrime Act which creates an offence of Cyberbullying.

Once anyone wants to get a you, there are laws he can use.

I think the onus is on the national assembly to avoid making too many petty laws.
