Baron1V: Greetings to the house. I just bought the Redmi note 8 and will like to be clarified about the data saver option. I can easily enable data saver on my Nokia 5.1plus, but I can't do same for RN8. First time of using a Xiaomi product though You can try restricting the background connection of apps you don't use often, then restrict data connections for apps you don't use at all... Try not to restrict data connection for important apps though. |

okorojoe: Ok. Should I start the Gangstar Vegas download a little on playstore before installing the mod APK just to avoid license verification issues? both games can't coexist on a single device... yoy can backup your asphalt 9 data(by moving the data to a different folder) then uninstall it and install the gangster. after you are done with the gangster you can uninstall it and reinstall the asphalt and move back the data to its right folder. |

okorojoe: No thank you I noticed that I'm unable to install a mod version of Gangstar Vegas without uninstalling my asphalt 9. Any other workaround? sadly there isn't... it's due to Gameloft's license issues. |

SalomonKane: Bloodshot.
Nice action scene. The visual effects was crazy. Story was kinda cliché. Acting was a bit above average. Humour was a little bit okay. All the same, it's a good movie.
I give it 7.4/10. nah, they messed up all the potentially good action scenes by focusing more on what the nanites in his blood were capable of, thereby paying very little attention to the action itself. Movies like: the Matrix, Terminator, and i-robot are few examples of movies that paid very good attention to both the sci-fi and action genre. |

The dltemp file still exists but has been renamed to .cfg and it is only available for apks and zip files not available for videos. You can try installing old versions of uc mini or try adm download manager. |

KrazyDave16: Start training by mastering one function (like jumping, scope opening, etc). If you try to master all at once it'll be a disaster.
Also don't use other players button maps, use the one that you'll be comfortable with Thanks bro, your tips are highly appreciated. |

Gptech: With time you go understand. You dey use your own experience and that of some few persons generalize? Wetin u talk now, some persons don talk am here some years back, discouraging others to update, but now dem dey hide dey update theirs. Even for your particular device, not all users experience same issue as you, I really wonder why you think some persons are hiding some 'truths'. I update my device immediately an update notification pops up, and I have never discouraged anyone from updating his. I don't think anyone is hiding any truth, as genius said there is no perfect rom. You always share full rom links to people who complain of rom/update related issues to download full ROM and flash, That means you know these OTA rom updates can be buggy at times. I was surprised at how I was made subject of the formula, it was as if I was accusing a near Perfect ROM of being buggy. We're all good now though. You be safe boss. |

Mrlastborn: the truth is that, they will end up confusing you more. you will be seeing unreasonable complains, not just with Xiaomi, but all other phone brands too, try other groups and see for yourself True talk but I think I will be just fine, thanks a lot for the advice, I appreciate it. |

. This wasn't my intention. @Mark9854, I hope you know the meaning of racism? Yes I do sir and I apologise, my language was too strong. No one has the right to judge someone like that over a single comment. Cheers Mate. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Mark9854(m): 11:24am On Apr 01, 2020 |
festwiz: Lol.
Stereotype is more fitting than racism.
Even some top YouTubers in India are a joke. Imagine Beebom saying the G90T scoring 2k points higher than the 720G in Antutu a major difference and that means it's a "more superior processor".[ Indian accent ]
India's want it all, soon they'd ask for IP6x water resistance, Gold coated phones, NFC, 4k Amoled 120Hz displays and 10k mAh battery for under 11,999 Rs.
They're the proverbial Oliver Twist. I apologize for my use of strong language then... I actually follow the Indian's group on telegram because I get to learn a thing or two about phones, same way I learn here. |

The China rom has better battery life compared to global ROM due to the absence of google apps. Try restricting some of these if you don't use them Thanks boss... I just restricted background activities for the apps I use less. I am satisfied with my device by the way. |

No wonder. You are doing well Thanks boss, I actually started following them after I realized Xiaomi is more focused on them... genius43: Now you are refusing to deflate and accept that you gave a wrong advice when the evidence in this case was glaring.
That you faced that particular problem don't mean all Redmi 7 users have same. When the Android 9 update came some people on RN5 had two percent battery drop instead of one but it has long been fixed some fixed theirs by Reinstalling full ROM others waited for other updates.
As for your problem I remember someone telling you to download and reflash ROM Manually have you done that?
There is no such thing as a perfect ROM even those flashing custom ROMs will tell you that. To be honest I didn't see his network signal chat before I posted ... I admit being wrong on his case but truth be told MIUI 11 is tarnishing the amazing battery life we all had with the MIUI 10. Thanks for the enlightenment. |

Thykingdomcom: Nah not the update, the network is! The network graph has 'coat of many colors'. That sim is not what you should be using in that location of yours. Do as genius43 said. Yes his problem might be due to the beautiful colours of his network signal chat... But you and I know MIUI 11 is full of bugs, I follow an Indian Xiaomi telegram channel and they are lamenting the same thing. Do have a great day boss. |

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Mark9854(m): 10:20am On Apr 01, 2020 |
genius43: This your analysis is extremely wrong. The network is responsible and it is evident from the network bar. A good network will have greens all through.
You guys should stop update is the cause of battery drain, no be Transsion we dey use. I have been updating for close to 2 years hardly any issue. When I see abnormal battery life, update is the last thing I think of. Lolx, this MIUI 11 updates come with quite a number of bugs and sometimes bugs randomly tamper/affect a lot of apps and features even the SECURITY app. I love my device but everyone knows that after the upgrade from MIUI 10 to 11 a lot of Xiaomi's devices did not remain the same. Attached is a screenshot of me searching for solution to a problem I faced after updating my device, I had to reset my phone before the issue was resolved. Till date the schedule on/off feature of my phone doesn't work due to the MIUI update ( I can SCHEDULE OFF but can't SCHEDULE ON) and I use the feature a lot but I learnt to move on. I love my device and I hope to use more Xiaomi phones in the future, but the last thing I will do is to sugar coat the truth. Have a lovely day boss.

Kelebzy: Guys my newly gotten redmi note 7 phone seems to drain very fast for a 4000mah device Please how do I know if it's normal or that the battery is defective so I could possibly return it.
Currently upgraded to Miui 11.0.4 from stock Miui 10 which upgrading didn't seem to help either. I'm being notified to upgrade to 11.0.7 which I doubt will change anything. The battery isn't defective bro, the update is 100% the cause of the battery drainage. You shouldn't have updated but now that you have, my advice is that; you accept and manage the battery life as it is and always update as soon as you get notified... Since an update caused the problem, hopefully an update will fix it. |
