It is only one person that can pronounce anybody as winner, and that is the INEC Chairman...so long as that person can openly say go to court and nothing happens or can stop upload in real time to server. It is difficult to say insecurity and hardship will stop reelection.

ABEOKUTA. The Ogun State Police Command has dismissed speculations that the recent attack on a private dredging site in Magbon Etido, Mowe, was carried out by bandits, describing the incident as an isolated criminal act.

The Command's spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, saying preliminary investigations had not established any link between the attack and banditry activities in the state.

According to him, the incident resulted in the death of a soldier who was on security duty at the facility, while another soldier sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Babaseyi stated that following the report of the attack, police operatives, working in collaboration with the military, swiftly deployed to the area and commenced coordinated operations aimed at tracking down and arresting those responsible.

He noted that investigations and tactical operations were ongoing, adding that security agencies were intensifying efforts to ensure the perpetrators were brought to justice.

The police spokesman assured residents that the situation had been brought under control, stressing that security presence in the area had been reinforced and that there was no cause for alarm.

From this report, the perpetrators have not been arrested, yet Police is saying no cause for alarm? How is that possible

Did you read the report of that Journalist that said he counted 27 Police checkpoints on road from Badagry to Seme border. By analysis each checkpoint will have nothing less than 4 Police men. If you leave 3 Police check points on that road, you have about 96 Policemen that can be deployed for more engaging activities to flush out bandits in forest areas.

That's because in the North the bandits run and hide in the forest/bush. In the south, especially a case like this particular kidnapping in Ibadan, it happened in the city. Ibadan is a city, with little to no forest to hide. Besides, the ones that operated in this particular incidence came in a Lexus. Thats to show you they are not the jihadist type of bandits...they are the regular kind of kidnappers like Evans.
