Why Is the U.S. Building Its Largest Consulate in Nigeria While Tightening Visa Restrictions?
The U.S. is building its largest consulate in the world in Nigeria, at Eko Atlantic, Lagos, on 12.2 acres of land at a cost of over half a billion dollars.

PresidentMUGABE:
Sometimes we just have to put ourselves in the shoes of the people who work for us as aides or PAs. This woman is old enough to mother those sitting on their chair, but because she is, perhaps, not as privileged as them, she sits on the ground holding one of their bags. This is improper, no matter the level of influence one has.

It would be respectful to place a seat just behind them for her to sit on and hold their belongings.

I had the opportunity to work with a team of a country's Ambassador and Prime Minister, and I was amazed at the way they treat the team working under them. They sit on the same seats, eat at the same dining table, and sometimes use the same car. They even call each other by their names.

Unlike the way we work here in Nigeria, some of us shiver when communicating with our bosses. We are very extreme in everything in Nigeria, especially in Arewa.

May we never be so poor for our mothers to be humiliated by the Ruling class like this....

“Vandalism not only leads to power outages and damage to national assets, it also endangers lives,” TCN stated, urging Nigerians to protect power infrastructure as a civic responsibility.

The company warned that those who tamper with transmission infrastructure risk not only damaging critical national assets but also losing their lives.

TCN urged members of the public to help stop vandalism, noting that protecting the nation's power infrastructure is essential to sustaining electricity supply across the country.

How much is a full pack of seasoning cubes again?

Why would someone take the risk of buying measured seasoning cubes?

I went to the market today to buy a few things in bulk.

Then I saw an Aboki with a wheelbarrow full of bags, and people were buying from him.

Out of curiosity, I moved closer.

To my surprise, it was powdered seasoning cubes.

At first, I thought each bag contained just one brand.

But no, each bag was a mixture of different seasoning cube brands, all crushed together.

Immediately, plenty questions started running through my mind,

What was used to crush these seasoning cubes into powder?

Was the equipment clean?

If everything isn't sold that day, how is it stored?

How does mixing different brands affect the taste of food?

And most importantly, is it even safe and healthy?

Maybe there's something I don't know.

If you've bought or used this before, I'd genuinely like to hear your experience.

Would you buy powdered seasoning cubes like this?

Family's van stolen during graduation trip

A Dutch family who drove from the Netherlands for their daughter's graduation have had their van stolen.

Possessions, money and medication belonging to University of Wolverhampton graduate Elizabeth Ajose's parents were inside, when it was taken from Bewdley Drive in the city on Sunday night.

The family is appealing for help to try to trace the white van.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said they understood the upset and frustration the theft of the vehicle had caused the family.

Family's van stolen during Wolverhampton graduation trip

On CCTV footage recorded from a home on the street, three people with hoods on were seen approaching the Ford Transit, which contained luggage.

The thieves were seen backing the vehicle into a car before driving the van away.

The graduate's parents, father Femi and mother Hannah Ajose, said they have lost all their clothes, credit cards and a substantial amount of money.

They did go to the graduation but admitted they were still in shock.

Elizabeth Ajose said: "My mum was like crying, 'oh, our stuff's [not] in there'.

"Even our pet food was still in there.... everything was in the van."

Her mother said: "I cried all through, because I wasn't happy.

"I [was] supposed to be happy that day, but I was sad all through, crying."

Passports, which were in a bag but not in the van, were not taken.

Both parents, who are now stranded, have serious health problems and all their medication was in the vehicle.

Femi Ajose said: "As I'm talking to you, anything [can] happen, because since Sunday I've never taken my medication, likewise my wife also and it's dangerous to our health."
