Why is the Police not rescuing abductees and neutralizing bandits in the North? Why did they leave it for the Army?

So many questions to ask...

Yemmytt:
ABEOKUTA — The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, on Tuesday joined millions of people across the world to commemorate the 8th United Nations World Bicycle Day with a renewed call for healthier lifestyles, environmental sustainability and safer mobility through cycling.

The event, held in compliance with the directive of the Corps Marshal, was organised in collaboration with the Cycling Federation of Nigeria, Ogun State Branch, and featured a cycling rally involving road safety officials, special marshals and cycling enthusiasts.

According to the Public Education Officer of the Ogun State Sector Command, Mr. Afolabi Odunsi, the exercise underscored the Corps' commitment to promoting cycling as an affordable, reliable and environmentally friendly means of transportation.

Speaking during the event, the Ogun State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, described cycling as a practical solution to several contemporary challenges, including rising health concerns and environmental degradation.

He noted that beyond serving as a means of transportation, cycling contributes significantly to physical fitness, improved well-being and the reduction of carbon emissions, thereby supporting global efforts to combat climate change.

Ogunjobi explained that World Bicycle Day offers an important platform to raise awareness about the benefits of cycling and encourage individuals and communities to adopt bicycles as a sustainable mode of transportation.

The event attracted senior officers of the Command, the State Coordinator of Special Marshals, officers and marshals of the Corps, as well as members of the Cycling Federation of Nigeria, Ogun State Branch.

As part of the commemoration, participants embarked on a cycling rally led by the Sector Commander, covering approximately five kilometres from the FRSC Sector Command Headquarters to the OPIC Roundabout and back.
The rally was conducted peacefully and concluded without any security or safety incidents.

Odunsi stated that the Ogun State Sector Command would continue to champion initiatives aimed at enhancing road safety, promoting healthy living and encouraging environmentally sustainable transportation systems across the state.

These people have started again... without creating any official road or pathways solely for cycling in the state.

This reminds me of a former Minister of transport that year that was championing cycling as a better option to move around. The first day of his cycling on the major road to work, he was knocked into a gutter by a fast moving vehicle. Never did he talk about cycling again

But why does the Governor of a state feel powerless if he is the first
security office of a state? Why are they not using Governor's powers to quel insecurity in their state. Eg:

Providing Logistical & Financial Support: Governors utilize unbudgeted funds known as "security votes" to buy vehicles, communication gear, and provide allowances for federal security agencies operating in their jurisdiction.

Giving Lawful Directions: Under Section 215(4) of the Constitution, a governor can give lawful directives to the state's Commissioner of Police to maintain public safety, though this is often subject to approval from the Inspector-General of Police in Abuja.

Requesting Federal Intervention: When security threats (such as banditry or severe communal clashes) escalate beyond the capacity of local police, governors must request intervention and troop deployments from the President and Commander-in-Chief.

Lol... Fire them, and what next?!!

More incompetent and corrupt people are waiting for their turn to go there and make matters worse.

The incompetence begins from the person appointing them, especially when the appointments are not based on merit and no-nonsense leadership.

Put someone like Late. Gen. Idiagbon or Murtala of old, and watch insecurity and terrorism end in less than a month.

Even the current IGP is as useless, clueless and corrupt as his predecessor... If not even worse.
Professionalism diminishes the moment a junior officer in a lower cadre is selected as the head or chief thereby retiring a large number of experienced senior officers in the Armed forces.

Good day everyone out there.

Lately, I have been traumatized. Like so depressed. My fiancee and I have been together for over 2 years and we've been planning to take the next step, which is our marriage arrangements.

But recently,I have noticed how she has been distancing herself from me. Though we had a little quarrels not quite long ago,but I really wanted to settle things up. And unfortunately, before I could calm things up,I noticed she had blocked me on Whatsapp.

Now,the pain in me,is that I've tried to talk to her,but she seems like who doesn't want to listen to me and it's really hitting hard on me.

This is someone who has always been toxic and disrespectful to me,but whenever I try t walk away completely from her,i always find myself going back to her. And I'm so tired and fed up with the whole thing.

I have tried to walk away, like forget about everything we've together in the past but the healing process hasn't been easy. I really want my peace of mind back. Please, has anyone been in this kind of situation before? How did you navigate yourself through it. Please, help a brother in need.
My brother, you are the one in love, she is looking for survival. Whatever you are doing is not survival enough for her. Wake up and move ahead

My ex opened up to me about why we had friction in our relationship.

We spoke from 1 am til 4, reminiscing about everything that played out and I got the closure I needed. She wants back, but I don't have the stomach for it, especially for someone who unintentionally repels love.

She actually said she was scared of loving me deep because she wasn't used to being loved, assured and shown security in a relationship. She's dated 8 men in the past and I'm her 9th. Was treated way worse cuz she was scared of the way I loved selflessly . She was tasting something new for the first time. Every guy she encountered played her cunningly and brutally. The other men got the best treatments and the strength and fruit of her youth while I got unforgiveness, malice, silent treatment and unresolved conflicts with little or no investment from her.

It confirms everything redpill teaches. Never be the hero in her story or the knight that tries to save a woman . A nice guy will always finish last or be used and dumped by a lady. Never invest in a woman , truly. You'll get nothing but punishment. You'll pay for her past.

Put yourself first !
She is looking for survival, whilst you are looking for love according to gehgeh...there is a mismatch

PoliticsRe: 2027: Peter Obi Will Be Sworn In As President - Kwankwaso by MarketDispatch: 10:22am On May 30
Segunbabba:
Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and running mate to the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence that Peter Obi will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election.

Kwankwaso made the declaration on Friday during the affirmation of consensus aspirants of the party in Kano State, describing the process as a demonstration of unity and internal democracy within the party structure

He said the emergence of consensus candidates across constituencies reflected strong cohesion among party members, noting that the exercise was conducted peacefully despite the large number of aspirants in several areas. According to him, some constituencies had more than 10 aspirants, but stakeholders were able to reach agreement through consensus building.

“I’m talking about Peter Obi. He will be flying our flag, and by the grace of God, on May 29, exactly one year from now, he will have been sworn in as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Kwankwaso said. He commended party leaders, elders and supporters in Kano State for ensuring a smooth selection process across all constituencies, describing the outcome as a product of cooperation and political maturity.

At the event, former Kano State deputy governor, Comrade Abdulsalam Gwarzo, was affirmed as the party’s governorship candidate, while Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna emerged as the senatorial candidate for Kano Central. Other candidates were also affirmed for the House of Representatives, State House of Assembly and various senatorial districts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kwankwaso appreciated members of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, the CRC, Lafiya Jari groups and the New Nigeria Peoples Party for their support and commitment throughout the exercise.

Earlier, the chairman of the party’s primaries committee, Mainasara Abubakar Sani, commended the conduct of the exercise, describing it as peaceful and well-organised. Speaking after his affirmation, Gwarzo pledged to run an inclusive and open-door administration if elected governor in 2027, while urging youths to remain committed to the party’s objectives ahead of the polls.
