Here are natural skin care recipe using African black soap (ose dudu) The skin is the largest organ of the body and it is covered with pores through which unwanted chemicals /gases is easily absorbed. Skin detox is a good way to cleanse / renew/ repair the skin and in the process getting rid of chemicals /gases that damage the skin . Most times ,we only get to do a skin detox when we go to the spa. However if you are unable to visit the spa, here is a recipe for skin detox you can apply at home. It involves natural products which are generally safe and usually non damaging to the skin. Ingredients : 100g Rhassoul or bentonite clay ( Rhassoul clay usually comes lumpy, so you will most likely have to crush finely in a plastic or wooden container, avoid using steel or aluminium during processing) 4 table spoons of Lemon/lime juice (freshly extracted) themarketfoodshop Organic honey (use honey to control consistency to your desired taste) 3 tablespoons of brown sugar (or white) 2 tablespoonsful organic coffee powder 60ml Coconut oil 1 tablespoonful Turmeric powder 250 g of themarketfoodshop African (organic) black soap / castile soap/ organic liquid soap Method: Mix all ingredients together in a non steel/aluminium container ; use wood or plastic only when mixing. Make sure the ingredients blend well together before scooping into a wide mouth container. For easy application, smoothen the paste over damp skin . Preferably, leave on till paste fully dries up then wash off. Depending on your skin type , you can repeat application at regular intervals. I also use this mix as a scrub for my skin every now and then and my skin loves it. One of the reasons I like this mix is the fact that it doesn’t expose my skin to the kind of damage one can experience with chemical based products . If like me, you are skeptical about chemical based cosmetic products; you might want to give this a try. Other natural skin care products you can use on your skin are themarketfoodshop grade A shea butter, pure cocoabutter, coconut oil ren19: |
