What is Canada using as their own Petrol and fuel is it not Bitumen. You can get end products such as Petrol and diesel from Bitumen but it is more expensive to mine and technological driven than the Crude oil.

Reason why Nigeria cannot afford to go the route of Canada because they want the fast and easy route.
It's good let's keep our resources for our republic

I have always maintained that the Igbos and Hausa/Fulani are 2 sides of the same coin.

They both want it all, hence their constant suspicion of each other, and scheming to outdo each other like the Igbo coup and Northern return leg of 1966.

Give an Igbo man power and watch them reprise their 1960's domination of federal government appointments even outside their own region. They will make the federal character principle look like a non existent law.
i agree with you

Ask any importer around you to hear the real deal. I don't know why NPA/NCS guys have refused to do justice to this topic.
will you keep quiet
the reason lagos ports is number 1 is due to 2 things
- Population
-Economic advantage
- Closeness to wealthy states like Ogun and Ibadan
-Closeness to North central via Jebba in Kwara state
-Borders cotonou so you can easily import raw materials drive down and sell to west africa

Its called geographical advantage
Singapore has it
UAE has it

nothing you can do to change it

Eboes are jealous of themselves. If youunderstand the Eboe pschology you will understand why they are so cursed. The Eboe man always thinks WHY NOT ME. If his brother i successfull he is resentful. This is without exception. So when they bring this behavious to others it is seen as "tribal" but it i not tribal that is how they treat themselves. The Eboe pursues money so he can use it to OPPRESS others. His sole aim in life is to tell the poor man to shut up and oppress him. That is why an Eboe governor would take a citizen to Government House for FLOGGING because of a perceived insult. They claim to be egalitarian bbut that is a joke . In any Eboe community if you do not have money you keep quiet. It is that simple
have you observe ibo is the only one on yoruba case
niger delta wey get sea and oil no even send yoruba
yoruba is more than them in population
yoruba is richer than them
we have bigger lands oyo alone bigger than south east
we have sea across lagos ogun ondo
we have border in lagos ogunn kwara

loool so they envy us a lot that said
we need to restrcuture so we can enjoy these resources or pull out of nigeria

Still doesn't make it dysfunctional. Can you tell us the extra charges they tacked on. I doubt you have the links or receipt since it happened 3 years ago. Ports can have many reasons the cost can very but generally I don't see any rule or regulations making any port cost more than other. Check NPA Tarrif regulations yourself.

No work no pay.
All the states you mentioned have the potential to find their way out of any financial crises.
And to even include Ondo state and Ogun state is not right.
The custom in Ogun generates over 13 billion naira monthly if I am not mistaken, just count it as part of our resources.
Ondo state the last time I checked produce more oil than Abia, Omo, Anambra and any state in the east individually. If those states are not worth profiling as states that would suffer, I don't think Ondo is.
Lagos VAT is almost enough to make them okay.
Apart from Ekiti and Osun, which you can be rest assured will both be taken good care of through the proposed regional arrangement, I don't see why any Yoruba state should suffer.
Moreover, we won't agree to any arrangement that doesn't include Yoruba speaking part of Kogi and Kwara.
And I hope you know the potentials of those two states even though they are currently plagued by useless governors.
yoruba nations starting from lagos to kwara will be the best thing to happen to africa we will be a $500bn in 10 years

Obi1kenobi:
You've just yourself described the sabotage. I mentioned the massive infrastructural advantage Lagos has. Sure, Apapa and some Federal roads in Lagos look appalling, but the state of the Federal roads in Rivers, and other SS states makes Lagos look like the German Autobahn. I've heard the bureaucratic bottlenecks in Lagos are also considerable easier to scale. And that specific import products have to come through Lagos ports. The geographic advantage is undeniable, but that isn't all there is to it.

I'm not sure who the bolded is directed at, but who was stating only Igbos import?
They have changed narrative again
PoliticsRe: Are Eastern Ports Dysfunctional? by Markfemi: 4:37am On Aug 10, 2017
Obi1kenobi:
No, he did not. We will agree to disagree cos no way in hell I'm buying that. Mapping out areas around Isolo, Ilupeju and Ikeja for industries to build is hardly greater in scale than what the FG did in Lagos. I'd say not even close. What even initially started all this back-and-forth was the incredible claim that FG only built 3rd Mainland bridge and FESTAC in Lagos in 77 years of occupation. grin

You can't wait for 100% resource control? Let's not kid ourselves: Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Ekiti would be in massive trouble without allocations from the centre. Those same states often struggle to pay ordinary salary. Even Ogun, while not finished, will be in severe recession.
another fat lie
under restructing we will earn money from our borders
oyo borders alone generated over 120bn in h1 2016
talkess of resources in Ondo
we will open another port in Ondo
we can use the excess funds from Lagos Ogun Oyo Ondo to take care of Osun and ekiti
also Kwara and Kogi Yoruba will be gateway to trading with north west nigeria
we will make monry off all the local companies in ogun
55% of nigeria vat comes from lagos 76% tax from yoruba land which accounts for 3tn
its more than enough for us.

what is it with all this diversion...i thought the nation that was addressed by the arewa youth whatever should respond and not attack other tribes...
igbos wear fulani cloth..igbos call fulani master and all not what...

have you asked yourself why there is a Murtala Mohammed airport in Yorubaland and there is an Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in the North..please where is Obafemi Awolowo Airport in the east or anywhere in Nigeria...no representation at all of the WA in the Zobia..right?who is the slave here..slave is he who has no name and is not even recognised as exisiting...

have you asked yourself why there is an Ahmadu Bello way in lagos,a Tafawa Balewa sqaure in lagos? and an ozumba Mbadiwe way in lagos? please where is any yoruba named street in the whole of east or in the whole of North...you are a conquered nation and you have mouth to talk..you claim lagos made igbos rich..you no dey shame that someone came to your backyard and farmed to make momney while you sit down in your face me i face you clapping for him?is it not being lazy?

abeg every man should face his attacker and leave others alone...if Arewa refred to you please respond to him and leave igbos alone...if arewa attack the igbos leave igbos to carry their cross...all man with hsi own cross to carry...please respond to arewa with whatever wisdom you claim..

Adebowale said wisdom supersedes violence...Winston Churchill for siddon dey plan wisdom when Hitler attacked without responding with violence...that wisdom talk is the talk of a coward...men fight in the battle even if they lose..they were brave to fight....if you have ever met a lion suddenly in the forest...the lion first take off on suddenly bumping into you..but that is not the end...the lion is coming back with aggression and if you get sense when the lion took off you too take off cos the story when it returns wont be the same...Biafra is back after the take off,,that is the mark of a lion..brave in all adversities.

let me come and be going?..Grandson or wetin be his name and the YOLICOM have started giving you guys voice make una concentrate on what YOLICOM is saying...you guys may not like it but you all know who is the problem of Nigeria.Make una get sense for once.
While I might agree with Gradsom on some issues the naming of streets in not a strong point
Lagos was former capital so naturally like abuja its named after a lot of important Nigerian people
We'll see a pic of obasanjo Road in port harcourt and abuja those that mean both states are conquered?

Now, the insult and name calling begins, as I knew it would. The truth is that you are the Lazy one. You hate the Igbo but you are too lazy to do something about it, not even in joining in their agitation for their own country. It would appear that they really want to leave your paradise for you. In fact, they did just that about 50 years ago and you ended up killing more than 3 million of them and forcing them back into your country.
I thought you want seccesion not to be chased out
Yoruba doing it will amount to chasing Igbo away which is different from Igbo wanting secession
Anyways Yoruba like niger delta switched alliance when ojuku started his territorial ambition

Really, are you saying that they don't have the right to live in Nigeria as foreigners just like Nigerians who live in other parts of the world? Are you aware that the Igbo are ingenious to the oil producing region of Nigeria and that a part of that region will be Biafraland and have you asked Nigeria to stop exploiting oil in that region? Have you asked Nigeria to remove their forces from Biafraland? You must do all these if you are serious about supporting them to leave. Don't forget that they once left and were killed in their millions and forced back into Nigeria, with all their assets seized. Now do you think that is fair?
But must you reside in whatever Nigeria divided too we will pay you off
