Jobs/VacanciesShould The Nigerian Government Regulate Ngos? by martfrank(op): 11:58am On Sep 26, 2017
I’m excited about your interest in making our nation, Nigeria a better place to live and work! Many of us change agents utilize the platform of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to make an impact in our communities. Currently, there is a bill that has passed second reading, HB385 sponsored by Hon Umar Buba Jubril that mandates a committee to regulate NGOs.

- The approval is renewed every 2 years
- Once the bill becomes law every NGO has to apply otherwise can be shut down
- The committee includes representatives from ministries, 3 NGO representatives, and 6 members representing the Geopolitical zones.
- The agency at its discretion can deny approval
- Each project the NGO engages in has to be approved
- Approve work permits for expatriate employees

There are many other layers of bureaucracy associated with this legislation. Most NGO experts believe they can self-regulate to ensure that they can fish out the fraudsters in the mix. Others mention there are several agencies that regulate NGOs like the corporate affairs commission (CAC), The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and many others. Transform Nigeria is concerned about this bill because many change agents like yourself utilize the NGO platform to provide services to our communities. Will this be in jeopardy based on the government’s discretion? If we mobilize to kill the bill, what is the alternative? I want to hear your thoughts. Please take this survey so we can hear from you. Remember, this is our nation and it is up to us to Transform Nigeria.

Nigeria's Transformation: The way forward

Every genuine national transformation starts from the mind. Through Changing the mindset of the people from negative to positive by seeing the good in Nigeria amidst all strifes.

How can we transform a nation like Nigeria, with its huge potentials, abundant natural and material resources?
The answer is not far-fetched, Every true transformation begins from the transformation of the minds of the people.
Our thoughts determine our actions, Our actions determine the outcomes of our lives.
Until there's a change of mindset, the nation cannot be transformed.

"Every thought you think is creating our future - Louisie Hay ."

Nigeria's Transformation comes from YOU!!!
Develop a positive mental attitude based on values, morals, and principles towards everything and see how Nigeria will be transformed.

Transform Nigeria is a community of people who care about our country Nigeria.

Every country has its problems including the western nations. My experience in Advocacy in Chicago Illinois and the United States proves it. I worked on Criminal Justice reform, Immigration, health-care, education, housing and the list goes on. In spite of the issues, people are still patriotic and loyal to the United States of America. Nigeria has problems we all understand that but we need to learn to love our nation.

If we love our nation, we would not pollute the air with toxic fumes and the land with toxic waste. If we love our nation we would not steal from its treasury with impunity. Transform Nigeria wants to bring back the love we are supposed to be having for our country. John F. Kennedy former president of the United States said: “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. We as Nigerians need to love our nation; it’s the only one we have.

There are many change agents doing things to make our country better and improve its reputation in the world’s space. Some of the smartest people in the world are Nigerian. Let us showcase your work and what you are doing to make the country better in your own way. If we consolidate our efforts and learn to love our nation and one another, greatness will come to us and our generations to come.

Join our community, send your videos, articles and subscribe to feel the love for our beloved country again…Thank you.

Why are you wondering, Is youtube not a website that plays 360 degree videos? Just know there are 360 degree players out there funny enough you don't need one sophisticated machine to do that.
How can I achieve this on a website.
