Jobs/Vacancies5 Steps To Effective Recruitment Process by Marthaebi(op): 10:34am On Nov 07, 2019
In a fast-paced world where you can save time by any means possible, it can be tempting to try to eliminate or reject what you think is less important. And that's normal!

But beware! When it comes to selecting new talent for a position in your company, there are necessary steps that should not be overlooked, even if some of them may seem superfluous at first glance.

Here are 5 essential steps to an effective recruitment process to achieve the most success in your hiring process.

1- Post display: choose the right platforms
Word of mouth is an effective way to communicate the benefits of your business and its culture, but is this the most appropriate way to find a suitable candidate? Perhaps less.

After writing an effective job description, post it on the right platforms and ask what the audience needs to receive or deliver your message. Think about social networks, job search sites, professional orders, bulletin boards, universities, newspapers, SEO on your website, etc. The possibilities are almost infinite.

2- The analysis of the Curriculum Vitae: the adequacy with the experiments
The initial step and will probably eliminate the most applications is the analysis of curricula vitae. In addition to identifying candidates who have acquired the professional experience you need, you will recognize the next generation by giving a chance to those who have acquired their knowledge of the school.

Take the time to read all the CVs received and keep an interesting bank of applications at your fingertips. A particular curriculum might be better able to meet the requirements of your next posting post.

3- The telephone interview: the first of the first impressions
Take the time to question your candidate by asking him some general questions (in relation to his availability, the salary sought, etc.)

As there is no second chance to make a good first impression, you will have gone one step further in the direction of hiring your suitable candidate.

4 - The psychometric test for effective recruitment
A crucial step, but often omitted, or unknown: submit your candidate to a psychometric test. Do not leave in fear with the prefix "psycho" ... I am not telling you to submit your candidate to a psychodiagnostic of Rorschach by presenting images of symmetrical spots to interpret!

The information revealed in a psychometric assessment will rather identify the aspects of the personality that influence the performance of an individual and with which your candidate will be most comfortable naturally.

This step is far from being discriminatory, nor a massive elimination of applications, on the contrary! Rather, it is a necessity to better target the forces and elements to work or monitor in your next steps. Think beyond the interview that follows; if the candidate is selected, this tool will be just as valid from an organizational development perspective and will accompany it in its new challenges at home.

And as we are always feeling lack of time, it is possible to integrate this step on your website. Take, for example, SFL - Partner of Desjardins Financial Security, which integrates a psychometric test directly on its recruitment site.

The psychometric assessment will even allow you to create standard profiles for a position, to increase the chances of success further by comparing the profiles of individuals to those standards that you have determined. This standard will specify the behaviors, personality profile and ideal skills to maximize the performance of the individual in a given position.

5- In-person interview: to get to know your candidate
After accumulating the necessary information about your candidate, having compiled valuable information about his personality, having confirmed his expectations of the position; a meeting is essential!

If you have an interview guide, adapt it according to the position, but also, depending on the candidate. For example, if you have noticed a tendency to be very organized in his psychometric test, ask him a question that will involve his skills in case of more spontaneous situations.

Jobs/VacanciesHow Linkedin Contributes To Career Success In Modern Time by Marthaebi(op): 10:28am On Oct 01, 2019
LinkedIn is one of the oldest social networking sites that still works today. Founded in December 2002, the platform has evolved considerably over the years, unlike the many that finally disappeared during this period.

According to Top Dog Social Media, more than 84 million people use LinkedIn in the United States alone. To put this in perspective, it represents approximately 27% of the total population. But LinkedIn is not your average social media platform.

Instead of adapting to typical social interactions, LinkedIn has been developed to help business professionals establish contacts and create live resume profiles online.

Being part of LinkedIn is an important step for people who want to continue growing and continue their careers in the construction, engineering and environment sectors. Here we discuss why.

Build your network

With so many professionals on LinkedIn, the site is the perfect way to build your network of industry professionals. Other users even have the ability to approve the skills you have listed in your profile, which is essentially control that allows you to do what you say.

A good network can open a world of opportunities for those who are serious in their careers. It can help you get new jobs or promotions and keep you updated on the latest trends in the industry, such as:

What does the estimated future cost of the materials look like?
What are the latest technologies or trends that affect these industries?
What environmental problems are happening in the world today?

Live CV

The term “live CV” means that your LinkedIn profile information can be constantly updated or added so that everything is as up-to-date as possible.

For this reason, many recruiters have begun using these profiles in their process. A person who submitted his resume for consideration three months ago can acquire new skills or new studies corresponding to that position.

However, to take advantage of this, you should keep the profile as up-to-date as possible. When you receive a new certification, obtain a diploma or complete a related project, you must indicate it on your LinkedIn profile within 48 hours after its completion.

Allowing your profile to become obsolete will hinder the growth of your career. This is especially true in all careers in the construction, engineering and environment sectors, where keeping up to date is essential for safety and efficiency.

promote yourself

LinkedIn is the ideal catalyst for professional development efforts. You can share your profile on other social sites, including blogs or websites. Your profile will also appear in the search engine results, which will be visible to employers looking for professionals in their industry.

All your professional information is available to everyone, which is a valuable asset to the success of your career. Your achievements, certifications, studies, previous projects, cover letter and links that prove what you have said are presented on your page. Providing this information publicly allows you to appear transparent, reliable and reliable.

To be hired

LinkedIn is one of the best ways for industry professionals to be hired. Your profile allows you to indicate that you are open to offers, that you are actively looking for a new job or that you are not open to any offers at this time. Employers or hiring managers can look for professionals who are looking for employment by industry and the desired skills.

Although anyone can submit their resume to specific jobs, using LinkedIn as a recruitment method is better than the rest. This is due to the fact that limited work is necessary for your own account. Simply keep your profile updated and continue to improve your qualifications so that job offers reach you.
