The Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Nuhu Gidado, has resigned. Mr Gidado informed Governor Muhammed Abubakar of his decision in a letter dated May 16. A copy of the letter was seen by Channels Television on Monday. In the letter, Mr Gidado explained that his decision was based on his commitment to serve for only a single term as deputy governor of the state. “Ordinarily, I should have remained up to the end of the tenure, but, with the currently dampened spirit and waning zeal as it relates to my official engagements, my continued stay will not be fair and truthful to you as my brother and leader,” he wrote. The deputy governor also believes that staying on in office will be unfair to the system and his conscience. Furthermore, he reminded the governor that during their meeting on April 19th he had informed him that he was thinking about stepping aside. Mr Gidado thanked Governor Abubakar and the people of the state for the opportunity to serve as deputy governor of the… https://www.newsheadlines.com.ng/channels-tv-news/2018/05/23/bauchi-deputy-governor-resigns-•-channels-television/ |
the fact that people just sit down and wait for calamities to occur is really sad. its high time people knew that alot of atrocities committed in our dear country is being tied to the fulani herdsmen or boko boys. for so long i have noticed the way low minded thinking humane sit and analyse bullshit regarding the insecurity in Nigeria. i will say this and i will say it the way it is, we need to improve our sense of thinking and approaching issues. its not just about what tribe or religion we hate, this is beyond that. the earlier we realise there is money in war the better. Question I want to know the different between Qabli and Baadi when u ar observing prayers? In elaborate form. Answer The concept of Qabli and Ba’di relates to the Sajda al-Sahaw (the prostration in recompense for the errors committed). To read about the Sajda al-Sahaw please look at one of the earlier answers: How to Amend Mistakes during Prayers? As for what is known as Qabi and Ba’di, this refers to whether this Sajda needs to be performed before the Salam (Qabli) or after the Salam (Ba’di). There is no consensus about this and the main schools of thought of Fiqh differ about it: Hanafis consider it to be always after the Salam, but assert that if it is done by mistake before the Salam then it is acceptable. Shaf’is consider it to be always before the Salam, but assert that if the Salam is said by mistake and not much time has passed after it then it can be said after the Salam. Malikis distinguish between a mistake that relates to adding something to the required elements of prayer (like reading an extra Rak’ah) or reducing from the required elements of prayer. In case of adding they consider the position of the Sajda to be after Salam. In case of reducing (and also in case of reducing something and adding something else) they consider the position of the Sajda to be before Salam. Hanbalis consider both positions (before or after Salam) to be valid, while for most cases consider doing the Sajda before Salam to be more rewarding. Jafaris (Imami Shia) consider it to be only permissible after Salam. As you can see from the above, there is no consensus about Qabli and Ba’di. This is because this issue (doing Sajda Sahaw before or after Salam) has not been covered by the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) which means it is a matter of Ijtihad and opinion and people can have different views or may follow different views about it and within reason, none can be considered as wrong. Also if you look at the Ahadith that are used for determining whether to do Qabli or Ba’di, you may come to agreement with me that none of these Ahadith suggest that only Qabli or only Ba’di can be performed for a particular mistake in prayers: A Qabli reported from the Prophet (pbuh): Ibn Buhaynah says that once the Prophet (sws) led our zuhr prayer but did not sit down after the first two rak‘at and stood up for the third rak‘at. People also stood up with him until the time when the prayer was about to end and the people were waiting for the salam to be said, the Prophet (sws) uttered the takbir and before saying the salam offered two prostrations and then said the salam. – Bukhari – 1224 A Ba’di reported from the Prophet (pbuh): It is narrated by Ibn Mas‘ud (rta) that once when the Prophet (sws) led the zuhr congregational prayer, he prayed five rak‘at. He was asked: “Has the prayer been lengthened?” He replied: “What happened?” The people declared that he had prayed five rak‘at. At this, the Prophet (sws) turned his feet while sitting and faced the qiblah and then offered two prostrations and then said the salam. – Bukhari – 401 It seems like some scholars, after analyzing Ahadith like the above, have arrived at an understanding that it is “reduction by mistake” versus “addition by mistake” that determines whether to do Qabli or Ba’di. However (appreciating that the Sunnah has not instructed us about Qabli or Ba’di) then what simply can be derived from the above two Ahadith is nothing but the common sense, that is, do the Sajda before Salam if you realized your mistake before Salam, and after Salam if you realized your mistake after Salam, as simple as that. R I P to the dead, and wish the other quick/fast recovery. Like a friend said safety first. But its true that the only places that have safety officers re the org like aviation, oil companies etc. Which makes the inpectors get huge DTAs. PHCN too needs one. But my country always neglect such, as to them they re useless. But my advice is these people working with high tension cables shouldnt think they re immune to shocks. As they always think the longer you work with them, the more immune you become. This is also a theory those who work on IEDs/land mines think. |
Why do we write test before final exams?! Even though all the tes questions have answers. Reason is so we can be ready for finals. |
If you were a muslim i'd have said "wa yagfir lakum zunubakum, walAllahu gaffuru-Rahim" "Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, and Allah is forgiving and merciful". (Q3:31) God loves who realise his sins and from the bottom of your heart ask for forgiveness. Brothers and sisters, please stay away from fornication and adultery. Like the op said, you never know whn you will be called to account for your deeds by God Almighty. |

A blogger in kenya posted his art work About a boy that was flogged mercilessly by his teacher. Im not good at story telling so i will just post the pic here. Let the nairaland intelleshuals do the writing. he goes by the name @Hakeemeffect on IG. Check his works. I'm doing this so people will not someday post some of his works and claim its a Clash between so-so tribe and so-so tribe. TeamIHateTribalismBigotry Gid bless Nigeria.

Olusegun Adebayo After about 16 years of inactivity, pumping of petroleum products has returned to the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) deports in Aba, the Abia State capital. This was disclosed to The Guardian at the weekend, by the Executive Director of UTM Offshore Ltd, Kennedy Azodeh, whose company is engaged in the surveillance and security of the over 209 kilometers oil pipeline right-of-way from Port Harcourt to Enugu. According to him, petroleum supply to the area, which had been suspended due to pipeline vandalism, resumed two week ago, with about five million liters of petroleum products successfully pumped to the deports. Azodeh, who attributed the resumption of operations to the relentless efforts of his company, in collaboration with the joint military task force, police and vigilante groups, claimed that 70 percent of pipeline vandalism has been curtailed by his company so far. He assured that it would be further eliminated, if relevant laws were put in place and effectively enforcement. Advertisement The security expert lamented that often times when arrests are made, the culprits are let off the hook, on the condition that the offence committed is bailable. He suggested that offenders be tried as economic saboteurs, because their offence “is worse than armed robbery, and prompt and deterring punishment ought to be imposed on the culprits, especially when they get caught in the act,’ noting that ‘when this is not so done, vandalism persists.” Azodeh iterated that if the pipelines are secured the way his company and five others are currently doing, regular pumping of products through the pipelines, rather than use of road tankers to transport them, would make the products readily available. “It will also reduce the price at which the products are being sold to the public, especially as any kobo spent on transporting the products by road, which takes longer time, would be added to the final cost of the products.” https://www.today.ng/news/national/98520/supply-of-petroleum-products-returns-to-aba-nnpc-depot-after-16-years |
